First!!! Needed me some Mandy today too. 🤗

Perfect timing, just sat down with a sandwich and a warm drink on a cold rainy grey UK day :) *Ting!*

TrickUpMySteve

Happy belated 30th anniversary of your birth a few days ago (at the time of recording)

Tony Mingoia

Re: the fireworks - November 2nd is significant because it is just three days before November 5th, which is "Guy Fawkes' Night", "Bonfire Night". or even just "Fireworks Night" in the UK. It's the day we celebrate, with fireworks, the capture of the conspirator Guy Fawkes after he unsuccessfully plotted to destroy the houses of parliament with barrels of gunpowder. Although fireworks have become increasingly available year-round in recent years, they remain far easier to obtain in October and November.

Worst gifts.. I got one of those 50p fly-away-in-a-slight-breeze plastic footballs for my 10th birthday. I remember that was the first time I had to fake happiness at a gift, both parents had just lost their jobs. Expectations were high because all my friends had got something extra special for their 10th, it felt like the first landmark birthday before 13, 18 and 21. Bloody hell, keep it light Matt :D

DahDutcher

Haha, you looked like Peep Show levels of uncomfortable during Phil's mayonaisse slinging bit ;')

Hey Mandy I made you a Try Not To Laugh Or Aww Challenge. It's basically TikToks I have found and put together. I edited it together on my phone. Hope you like it. youtu.be/T6wU8QK92tg?si=FMEYUy5g8A4t_cX_

Glad you’re enjoying this series so far. It’s definitely one of the best lineups, that’s for sure. Something hilarious happened in one of the live tasks in this series but I can’t remember which ep it was lol. Belated Happy Birthday for last week as well, hope you had a good one!

Who said "Lotta Soup"? I think I missed it.

Tony Mingoia

Wang said it whilst trying to cheer up Geoff.

Mandy talking about the gloves and feather boa "I like them but I wouldn't wear them outside" I can just see you wearing them and the earrings at home while brushing the cat like a feline version of Cruella de Vil 😅

Yoshua Simoleit

This is a random thought, but one of the best things to watch in a week is your Taskmaster videos, so for Christmas can you give us TWO episodes in a week? lol. I definitely would enjoy that more than the usual gifts one receives as an adult. I'm not being too serious with this, just trying to convey how fun these videos are more than anything.

Jessica killed it

Some behind the scenes they've talked about on the podcast (that I'll definitely be paraphrasing since it's been awhile) is that Jess joked about smashing the vase at the end but wasn't actually going to until Alex gave her some sort of indication that she should do it and Rhod got genuinely upset! Production actually ended up gluing it back together for him

Mandy Cane Lane

“Remember, remember the 5th of November, gunpowder, treason and plot…” -- Right, I thought it was because it was close to Christmas just like the Santa. 🤭 Didn't realise they celebrated with fireworks on the 5th.

Mandy Cane Lane

Lol, similar to the story I am not ready to share. Remember having to fake the happiness as well. Tough stuff for a family

Mandy Cane Lane

Lol! I have a weird issue with condiments.. if they touch skin I find them really disgusting to the point where I can get sick. No idea why 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mandy Cane Lane

"Not available in your country" 😢 -- Thank you though 🫶🏻

Mandy Cane Lane

Thank you so much Joe! I don't want this season to end! 😅

Mandy Cane Lane

Haha! If you remind me close to Christmas, yes I totally can Yoshua! I have done 2 episodes in a week before, but have since added many more shows in a weekly rotation. Super glad you enjoy them so much! 🤗🤗🤗

Mandy Cane Lane

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAA! That is hilarious, but didn't she win it? Should have been hers to do what she wished! 🤪

mcegan

Valid point 😂! Even funnier, I forgot Greg fully broke character and was very panicked as well "Footage was cut from the episode of Rhod and Greg suddenly getting panicked that she would actually break it and pleading with her not to, before Alex nodded and she dropped it as shown in the aired edit."

2026-09-23 20:00 Well... I wasn't sure about your pick for Jessica... but damn, you called it! I didn't think she'd win an episode tbh :) Well done! And yeah, James was on it with his wit on this one, haha. He's great :) Turning into a great series this one isn't it?

Did you have a quinceanera? I forgot 15 is also a landmark birthday to some cultures. Have done a lot of cognitive behavioural therapy, the techniques make you constantly aware of irrational thinking and cognitive distortions, one of which is "Compare and Despair" - ie comparing the best things you know/see about other people's lives, to the worst of yours. It seemed to me like school and childhood is a minefield for such thoughts, I wish I'd been taught the thinking errors early before they could take root.

Random question of the day no2. What's something you could buy from a shop that you can't get anymore that you'd most like to be brought back?

Mandy Cane Lane

Oh man! Tough question.... there are lots of things that disappeared here because they closed off the borders. Milky Ways were a thing here for about 3 months and then they disappeared forever. I miss them 😢

Josh

That's so random, I don't understand why yous would get rid of them. Most people in the UK would say lilt but I'd say mars delights, it was a Mars bar but with wafer in the middle
