Mini tutorial (Patreon)

Hey there, so, I'm part of a study group on facebook and i made this really quick tuto for beginners on digital painting.Hope you guys enjoy!- 1: Quick pic colored with base colors- 2: what a lot of beginners do.... use a spray tool to make the shadows thinking it will give them a smooth border. NO, stop it. Don't use spray like brushes now. The spray will give you a non definded shadowand it will look like the character is in some color fog. D:- 3: start up with some hard colors, like a cellshade pic. If possible try to use at least 3 colors for each base color. (try a base color + shadow + light)- 4: smooth out only the places needed. ^^ the closer the object is to the shadow, harder the shadow will be, as they become apart the shaddow will look smoother.Bonus tip: Don't be afraid to use effect layers, you have the tool, use it! I particulary like to use overlay (use a grayishpurple for shadow places and light yellow for ligher places) and multiply (use a light purple to give a deeper inpression)
