True, Zuko is not evil enough, the story they gave Zuko makes us love him right away (which is a bit different from the animated tv show). Also, we already know Zuko is good so we don't hate him right away, so maybe that also plays into our minds

The show isn't bad but it's not great either. I am still looking forward to season 2 unless they somehow manage to botch our girl Toph because that's when the series really starts to get good.

The biggest issues I have w the live action are the changes to character's personalities. Aang in the original, is a happy kid that acts like a kid, not taking things too seriously & eventually grows into accepting what it means to be the avatar. In the live action, he's way too serious all the time & is kinda his only personality trait. They did the same with The changes to Sokka & Katara, taking away their moments to grow into the characters we love. They made Zuko WAY too whiney (for me) vs him being a more complex character that's frustrated, impatient, angry & determined, not just to find Aang, but for love & respect. They also changed Uncle Iroh (esp in ep 8)which makes me sad bc he's one of my favs. (& we all know about Boomie's change). I hope season 2 will take the time to set the characters back on track a bit better
