Was waiting for this 🔥 got the day off today & it's the best way to spend it 🔥

szeth

Not much longer now… iykyk

Artem Dmytrenko

I did my waiting! 12 years of it! In Azkaban!

Emily

SASAGEYO SASAGEYO SHIIINZO SASAGEYO!

Alex Eimers

I’ve been waiting for this reaction, remember season 1-2 were released 4 years apart

Butthats

(O_O) (O_O) (O_O)(O_O) < your reactions, 20 mins in

J Knight

This is my favorite theme song in the series. The full version is so powerful in the headphones. I feel like I'm THERE.

beannieswife

EVERYONE SALUTE FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM🗣️

Bonnie Hughes

I really hope you guys react to Isle's notebook soon! Thank you for the reaction^^

SamurEye

hey this isn't a spoiler because it wasn't touched on in the show but there are no people inside of the pure/dumb titans. Eren and Annie's bodies are inside their titan form but the other titans are just big dumb monsters.

Joaquin garcia

You are right Dave, the seasons premiere are insane 😱

blitzman08

everyone needs to chill out with the comments man, even implying stuff is a spoiler in a way. stop insinuating things that are going to happen because they look at the comments

J Knight
>>135268336

Yeah. The scouts would have noticed a long time ago (since they are always cutting the neck). That's why it was such a surprise when Eren showed up the way he did.

szeth

Hopefully no one spoils anything related to the animals in the intro

Anna Ramirez

I thought the hairy titan was the boss level, pretty much xD

Manny D.

Sasageyo sasageyo shinsou so sasageyo!

Ushna Seeam

Sasquatch Titan! 🤣 Yeah, I remember fuh-reaking out when I first watched this episode and he spoke. And it wasn't just the fact that he could speak, but he also seemed almost patronising, the way he was speaking to Miche, as if talking to a slow child. I was like, not only can this titan talk, but he also clearly considers himself to be superior to us dumb humans, and that absolutely terrified me! 😂 It was clear that a very dangerous player had just entered the game.

Jess

The voice acting in this show gets to me every time, just the visceral cries and such. The performances in the show are so good and so haunting.

Abigail.M

You all, great reaction! It is so interesting to hear what you guys pick out and theorize about! I can't wait for next week! Also, for Dave's question, I was shocked when the beast came in. I watched in awe in my room as this massive beast entered my screen. Without any spoilers, I will say it is hard to believe, but the show gets even better. good luck and have a good week!

Ashtail Foxclaw

RIP Miche - I quite loved his character and I so rarely see him spoken about. He's one of Erwin's crew so that's a pretty huge loss.

Zack Sutton

Love having Mondays off! Let's go!!

Upamanyu Baishya

Rewatching it is so fun. There were so many hints right infront of me that I failed to notice when watching it for the first time. Literally nothing is too small of a detail. And actually one of you gave a pretty accurate theory in this video. I'm not telling who it is but it was almost accurate

Hannah N

Season 1 is fun, but not something I typically rewatch- I've been excited for you to get to Season 2, from here on out it gets sooo good

Humberto

Miche’s death disturbed me so bad the first time I watched it. I’ve rewatched the show many many times and always look away or skip his death.

Alyek

I was in middle school when this came out and remember thinking the hairy titan was the titan king or something lmao

Gabriel P.
>>135278727

His death is one of the most brutal in the show. He is one of the most skilled soldiers (second only to Levi) and Erwin’s second in command. So watching him die in such a vulnerable and gory way is really disturbing.

Gabriel P.

Just to clarify because some people might be confused (I know I was the first time around) - this takes place roughly in the same timeframe Eren and the others are dealing with Annie. So the next couple of episodes will focus more on this group of soldiers. This season’s intro is a fan favorite, it’s like an anthem. The outro is one of my personal favorites, it’s just so creepy and deepens the lore with the imagery. It’s almost like a historic montage. I would highly recommend reading the story presented at the intermission of S1E25 (the two screens filled with text). As for Miche…his is one of the most brutal deaths. He is a very skilled soldier (second only to Levi) who arguably is second in command after Erwin. So watching him die so helplessly is really disturbing.

Xy Ocsalef

React to the author story too. It's like a movie. His name is Hajime Isayama

Ida L

Please also watch the outro! its important that you see it. and really look at it!

Marbelis

Shinzō wo Sasageyo! I vote for the oak to stand and salute 🫡 at the intros…... also i dont know if you guys notice at the end of the episode on S1 right after Annie battle the crew that was at the cabin was riding horses leaving Sina so now they are inside Rose

Kel

I remember being in utter shock the first time the hairy Titan spoke. I just stared at the screen with chills running up and down my body, and it only got worse when it seemed to have a cruel streak. “Oh, so you can talk” as it’s walking away while Miche’s getting ripped apart. Just chilling stuff. This season is incredible (and yet still not as amazing as the seasons that follow!).

Kel

Also, thank you for watching the two OVA’s I actually care about and not any other ones right now. I enjoy the others, but I was just impatient to get to season two haha. Glad you took the time for Levi, though!!!

Cherrie

When I first saw the Beast Titan, it scared the heck out of me! I was as scared as Miche. I don't think I uttered a word through that whole scene. Then watching him die was just pure horror. This episode was exciting, frightening, horrible and amazing all at the same time. I'm so glad you guys finally watched it! There's just so much more to come. Can't wait to see your reactions. 😁😁

Harlee

I think it’s official. Including the credits, you have the answers to everything… just waiting to learn the questions.

Ida L

SPOILER FREE: Just to give a little reminder cause it can be hard to remember especially since you don't have much time to read the mid episode information cards. The basement is not easy to get to since it's Erens home in Shiganshina which is one of the outer smaller walled in "outcrops" on the OUTSIDE of Wall Maria. And wall Maria is the outermost big wall.. And both Shiganshina and wall Maria was breached in season 1 and now apparently(as far as they can tell) the next wall, Wall Rose has been breached since now they are currently finding titans inside Wall Rose. And don't forget that the inside of Stohess District, which is an outcrop of wall Sina(the innermost wall where the king resides) was trashed by the fight between Eren and Annie AND there is a F**ing titan in the wall of Stohess District?? So the basement is not easy to get to at all and they are constantly trying to deal with every new crisis at the moment. The first excursion Eren and gang was a part of was to the inside of Wall Maria, so not outside of the walls of humanity and that excursion was supposed to be a "test run" even though it seemed like the higher ups knew more than they said and maybe it wasn't just a test run since it looked like they kind of planned to capture Annie(honestly don't remember right now if that ended up being true but is sure seemed sketchy at the time). Of course everyone want to get to the basement right now but it's so much in between them and it at the moment. I would really recommend you all to read the pictures of the mid episode information cards off screen together cause they can actually be important reminders and clarifications and also sometimes completely new information, like for example the one episode with the reeeeally long text that is impossible to read without pausing. Of course only read the ones that's been shown so far to not get any spoilers. This link takes you to a safe site with a collection of all the information cards in order. There are also tabs for every season to make it easier to avoid spoilers. Just try to not scroll to far on the tab for season 2 but it shouldn't be very difficult. https://attackontitan.fandom.com/wiki/Current_Publicly_Available_Information/Anime Everyone like this comment to draw more attention to this if you also think it's important for them to read this.

Ida L
>>135296523

And of course I know you are all kidding around when you "complain" about going to the basement. It's what everyone wants while watching Attack on titan this far! My long ass comment is mostly to help you remember the order of all the walls and what's happened so far since it can be a bit much sometimes to keep track of.

Ivan Rasmussen

Lol I was so confused at first. I felt like I missed something entirely but it all makes sense later. But yeah, Beast Titan is wild!

Arimpact

was part of the crowd that waited 4.5 years back in the day. Saw this episode with Mike's head off and still remember first thought afterwards was "riiiiight, this show is freaking brutal, they are really giving us a reminder on that".

Alexiani Gollarza
>>135292915

Right?? The titan was like "yeah, good stuff that you speak but I'll watch while you die a horrible death"

Alexiani Gollarza

Mason: YES!!!!! Please, buy the jackets for all of you it would be GREAT! Also, this season will get even wilder. Can't wait!!

Skellyp

The person who was eaten at the end was the same guy who shoved Levi’s head in the mud in no regrets pt.1

Clariz

I recommend you guys get a copy of the map of the walls and mark where all the events have happened ^^ When I did that, the progression and the pacing made so much more sense and I had a better grasp of the story, so yeah! (I did this because I'm terrible with names, geography, and battle tactics, so following the series with the map made it so much easier ^^)

Hannah N

Oh btw be careful about looking up merch and stuff, it's veeeeerrryy easy to stumble onto major spoilers for this show

Tiffany

Words cannot explain how goddamn pumped I am for them my doods, like.. if they thought season 1 was wild.. they are going to have a parade with this one. Also man I was actually really upset at what happened to Mike here.. this whole time all we know is the titans have a one track mind, then we have Annie and Eren who even in titan form can’t mutter anything other than grunts and roars. And then here comes this hunk of a hairball and it’s TALKING?.. boy oh boy there must be just about 100 questions going through your minds huh crew? Catch you guys on the next one and stay healthy my fellow patron friends 💚

Sophie

Good stuff guys, I remember watching this first episode and being just as confused as you guys haha. Also I know the endings aren’t that interesting but just like the openings they are worth watching at least once every season all the way through. And some endings in the future do have post credit scenes but I’m sure the comment section will alert you to that when those arrive haha.

Magda Ch

I just want at the end of this season, all 4 of you with your jackets singing “Sasageyo! sasageyo! shinzo wo sasageyo!!” ( Dedicate your Heart! ) With your hands on your chest 🫡 😄 maybe while watching the live concert of the first song and this song 😃🤘🏼

Katryna Lavin

“What did we just watch?” Perfect response lol Also if yall need someone to do subtitles just lmk because the auto-generated ones are cray

B23

the ending credits goes craaazy whoa the re watchability of this show - ISAYAMA you genius!

Mhyyy

So excited for Monday 😭🤣

delta0192

Can i watch with out the blur

CT
>>135328481

No, they don’t want to risk getting copyright striked.

CT

Regarding who writes Aot, it is Isayama (Creator) and his editor. They both create ideas and retconn stuff etc etc, so you’re somewhat right 😆 not just him

Patricia B
>>135328481

You have to watch sync up your own copy of the episodes or wait for the YT cuts.

Patricia B

THIS is my favorite opening. 😍

Pim Evers

Mason quinn in the recap: curve ball.... hmmmm. If only he knew...

Ratu Syakirah Bayu

the silent when the beast titan started to speak is so chilling i completely understand how horrified miche was

Ratu Syakirah Bayu

season 2 completely change everything for me lol. i felt so clueless when i just started to feel like i understand something. just like how the scouts probably feel

krai
>>135328481

also this is why they can't pause for second looks, they don't wanna mess with our sync cuz it's always a hassle.

BennLimos
>>135275385

I loved Miche too. He was literally second to Levi when it came it reliability and ability. The Beast Titan definitely caught him off-guard by throwing his horse at him. He might have been able to escape some other way if he wasn't injured.

BennLimos
>>135278727

Yes, when we hear about real life heroes passing away in tragedies, most of the time it is left to our imagination how they died. Here, although fictional, the scene gives us the reality of how our heroes die and many times it's agonizing and horrific in nature. If he were a regular character, it wouldn't have left much of an impact. But we knew him as Erwin's most capable, second only to Levi.

Arudorin

There will be more surprises coming this season. That's all I'm going to say.

Peeker

I feel like maybe you should watch the full ending song at least once because it's very intriguing to watch with the visuals and the eery song. I'm not sure if there's a post-credit in this season but if there is, take that as an opportunity to watch the outro song

Marco Gutierrez

This episode is such a crazy start to the season. They just show up and blow your mind with the reveal that some titans are so advanced that they can speak, control other titans, and are capable of understanding complex machines like the ODM gear.

Diplex
>>135526987

I think they should watch them all at some point but it has so many things in them that are no-context spoilers so they should wait till season 4 or so and watch them all when they are properly informed.

Peeker
>>135526987

well i dont think they could guess anything from this ending. i mean, it feels like they still haven't realized (SPOILER?) that the titan in the intro that eren is fighting is the armored titan

Rena Unnie

Thank you for the reaction! First time I started this episode, my brain didn't register right away he was speaking, I remembered I was confused, then dumbfounded like that poor lad! :D

spishi

dudes im so excited just seeing this unfold for you. cant wait till you reach season 4

Don Pham

"Just an absolute curveball" "It's a whole new ball game" lol
