I love this movie! Whats up guys? Great animation and hits kinda hard.

Brad Bird lost his sister to an act of gun violence, which was one of the reasons why he wanted to make this film.

When you watched this as a kid, the Giant's sacrifice was one of THE defining moments of movie trauma. They gave it the gravity of watching a loved one die, which is hard to replicate. It always struck me how the movie treated every aspect of its story with respect. Hogarth's troubles at school and his mother's struggles at work only show up in a few scenes, but for those scenes they matter. For them, those are just as important as the robot that may have been sent to destroy the world. Nothing about the lives of their characters was a joke to the film. About 10 years ago I saw this beautiful Collector's Edition Blu-ray on sale at Barnes and Noble and I still regret TO THIS DAY that I didn't but it. I did buy a regular copy a few years later, but how I wish that I'd gotten that display box.

Do Not Talk About Fight Club

I remember watching this Christmas eve 1999. I was 15 and I put it on for the little kids to keep them from jumping everywhere, didnt expect to end up enjoying it myself.

I believe it was Wonka, where you said that the trailer had nothing to do with the movie itself and did not do it justice. Hard agree there.

Carter Moorehead

Grew up watching this movie a lot. this is a classic for me thank you guys for doing this one.
