Leslie Matsikiti

I'm saying this before the episode starts. interesting theory Oak let's see how it goes

Marcos Olguin

Time to charge and scream boys we’re in the end game now

Chuck Norris

Next week is gonna be great but man I can’t wait for season 3. It took me a bit to get into the show as an anime hater 2x6 got me to not drop it and season 3 had me convinced I was watching one of the best shows I’ll ever see

OBBlade

'Erin is the Coordinate' is translated correctly. Thats all you need to know at this point.

Pocketsleuth

This is the best post discussion you guys have had for AoT!! Loving the reactions and attention to details, and I know this is repetitive but you'll get your answers eventually I promise lol

Leslie Matsikiti

No spoilers One thing I love about this show is the foreshowing, which makes rewatching it great because you will notice things that you missed the first time around. I've watched this show 6 times already and I'm always in shock of how well written it is

Peeker

Not sure if anyone else has said this but the reason why Levi hasn't been in any episodes and isn't fighting is because of his leg injury that he got when fighting the female titan. The time gap between the end of season 1 and and the start of season 2 is just a few hours (someone correct me if I'm wrong) so he would obviously still be recovering from a broken leg

Peeker

Did you notice Annie in the flashback? When titan Ymir rose up from the ground to eat Marcel (Reiner & Bertholdts friend), you see a glimpse of Annie with them

Pathetic_Effort

Loved the post episode discussion! The Oak calling Ymir titan's ugly is taking me out 😭😭

Bonnie Hughes

I am literally on the edge of my seat for the next episodes.

Artem Dmytrenko

In the conversation between Bertholdt and Ymir in the 6th minute they said "Eren doesn't remember either". Hmm...

Julio Salazar

So to Diamonds comments comparing the helicopters of TWD. From my understanding of the Manga (Man-gahh) the creator had most of the story mapped out. You’ll really have that OMG moment in the finale but just be patient. It’s setting up a lot of key things to avoid plot holes. Which the creator really did a great job to avoid. A lot of things unfold from here forward.

You're correct, gap of S1 and S2 is just a few hours since Erwin wanted to isolate the rest of the 104th class at the same time they were capturing Annie. (Just in case there were other infiltrators). So Levi is still recovering from his leg injury.

Elmo Pelmo

Since u asked during the intro, they show the hearts in the intro bcause the refrain translates to "sacrifice your Hearts" and that was said by Erwin, when they chose to join the scout regiment.

Alyek

Would be fun if you guys watch Attack on Titan Junior after the end of the show! I love Ymir as a character, her and Christa’s relationship is complicated but I think Ymir is kind of obviously in love with her

Ushna Seeam

The sheer impatience to get to the basement! 😂 But the journey to get there is every bit as important as actually getting there and finding out what's inside. I mean, I could tell you the exact episode you can go to to get all the answers, but the answers are hardly going to make sense or have any weight unless you've been on that gruelling journey to get there. Only then will the revelations hit you exactly the way Isayama intended. The answers will have to be earned, my friends! 😉

Kasper Mejer

Dont know if you know this but the basement is deep in titan territory right now as wall maria has fallen seen in the first episode, so if they need to go to the basement they would have to through about 30 miles of titan territory and then go into shiganshina which is also beyond the wall marie. So its not as easy as just going to the basement, but yeah i felt the same frustation of "dragging" the basement out

Dorak
>>137897708

yup, the wall was "broken" before Eren fought Annie, then he rested a few hours until morning after the fight and that's when they learned about the wall and then instantly moved in (Ymir revealed her titan after the other soldiers died and the night had just finished passing) and that's when Eren's squad arrived, then they climbed the wall and Reiner/Bert kidnapped him and they then waited 1h before nighttime, which is where they are at now, sunset. So Eren (and the scouts) rested only 1 night between his fight with Annie and Reiner

Awynze

I'm glad you previously mentioned you'll watch Isle's Notebook OVA. I think a great video would be to watch that and also watch the two Lost Girls OVAs right after. On Crunchyroll, they are episodes 6 and 7 of that OVA season. Great reaction guys!

Elizabeth Green

Eren is the coordiniate is the correct translation. That is all. All the rest of your questions will be answered between season 3 and beginning of season 4.

Erin Dias

I think the red hearts in the intro are meant to represent the motto/salute of the scouts. Holding their fist over their heart is them “dedicating their heart” to the cause/humanity, which is what the scouts do. During the graduation where the cadets decided which branch to go into, Erwin even asked them to dedicate their hearts, and he returned the salute to them, as well. Maybe the intro is to show that everything/everyone has a heart to dedicate to something? At least, this is what I’ve assumed since first seeing the intro, lol. I’ve never actually looked into the reasoning behind Big Monke and the animals, haha

Violet Lebouf

I was cracking up when Eren tried to bash Reiner's face in lol Ymir was getting played like a fiddle by Reiner and Bertholdt. After those two, she truly annoys me in this arc

Marbelis

I dont if you guys realize the timeline but since the first attempt to get the basement to the current episode is been like weeks only maybe a month. Remember the basement is far away and it requires preparation and supplies to embark on that mission.

Arie

[Not a spoiler] I'm sure lots of people will tell you to make sure to watch the ending all the way through for a specific episode in season 3, but I suggest watching the 1st ending (every episode), even if you just let it play while talking like for the openings. It will be easier (and more interesting) to spot any differences if you're familiar with it.

Miki

i believe levi is grounded still from his injuries (fight with annie to get eren back) idk if broken or what but I think it was serious enough to ground him this all is transpiring over like weeks I think to like a month at best. just my theory I have no basis it just makes sense in my mind. also makes sense based on the annie comment reiner made to berthodt about confessing his feelings to annie. WE know that annie is in an ice block but since reiner berthodt connie ymir krista were at an outside base and then ran to castle during the attack and not in the town I don't believe they knew what has happened to annie at this point in time. then when they suspected reiner and berthodt of being accomplices of annie neither of them had been in town still at the outside base

Marco Gutierrez

Man next week cannot get here soon enough lol. One of my favorite episodes for sure.

Elizabeth Green
>>137914644

I’d like to add to this, I think as of season 3 yall should start taking notes. It’s going to start getting a bit more complex and things will be easy to forget along the way. You’ll need the notes for how some dynamics work among other things!

Ivan Rasmussen

Haha yeah the story is pretty complex and I think they do a really good job of telling it in the order it needs to be. They give you little tid bits and once you're further you'll understand better. It's really darn good though and CANNOT wait for next week :)

SamurEye

the way they are so close to being right but so wrong at the same time makes watching this so fun lmaoooo

FALLOUTJKN

It's amazing how effect story telling can be when so many answers are given but with zero context

Green Nolan

You guys are doing great but it's SO frustrating listening to you get super close on some speculation and way off on others lol. It's been a fun ride and I can't wait for more!

B23

the next 2 episodes... chef's kiss 🤌🏽 can't wait!!!!

Dragi
>>137924402

s2 covers around 2-3 days, so yeah Levi is still out of the game

TheMilkMan

Congratulations guys, you've only just completed the "prologue" of this story, still a much much bigger plot yet to be revealed

B

just a heads up since u guys are testing streamable it literally doesnt work for me no idea how im going to keep watching along

Feli Moon

Kenny Omega Live! After season 2 you should watch the live concert of the original band Linked Horizon. It's awesome. They're playing OP 1 and 3 in full length. A must watch for every aot fan. These songs are much longer and truly epic. https://youtu.be/O8vcdBGLV1E?si=rqF_iulSLrst-5aQ

krai
>>137914644

there's really no need to clear that up, or the rest of other things. these are priceless misunderstandings and hits better if unexplained beforehand

krai
>>137889360

Oak is the silent dude during the watch but has alot to say in post discussion. He also doesn't hold back with his insights no matter how ridiculous it sounds and it make interesting theories.

krai

And as the AOT fandom always say to reactors during this point of the show: You're only watching the intro of AOT, the show hasn't started yet.

Gabriel P.
>>137939655

Dont see anything wrong with this post. He is just stating thats what the translation meant, nothing more.

Alexiani Gollarza

This episode has SO MANY answers but without the proper information we can't really do anything about it. I didn't remember this much was given to us but then again I didn't know what to do with this info, i had to wait and see but as heads up, remember this episode

szeth

Maybe this is too spoilery but I don't think so because if you spoke Japanese you would know. The military salute they say to each other in the show when translated is give all your heart. It's also what they are saying in this opening in the chorus so the glowing hearts in the opening is symbolism to the military salute and also why this song is seen as the military anthem by the fanbase

CT
>>137900059

I would love if they watch it 😂😂 it’s too cute

Milik

Guys, I love you to death, but why do you think the basement topic is abandoned, and why do you still worry so much about the lack of answers in every single episode? This show is a mystery drama! Not knowing and finding out answers slowly is a central theme here :D It's like watching a war show and commenting on every episode that there are too many guns and too much shooting. When will they stop shooting? It is an original story, have more faith in the writer. Great reaction as always, and all the best to you all :D

Badd Medicine
>>138036151

I think you might be hearing us wrong. If someone said abandoned, please leave the time stamp. But we know they will get to it. I (DD) even give an example of The Walking Dead and the helicopters and how they will get to it. 🤙 We know it's coming.

Milik
>>138036151

I think its around 33.43. At least its how I understood it. You are best reactors out there but I just wanted to point out that basement is not forcefully posponed. They cannot physically go to the basement because the area is swarmed with titans, miles away, and they had no time to figure something out because they found out about enemy within the walls. Between Annie reveal, up untill now it's been roughly 48h. But if you guys didn't mean that in the end then maybe I misunderstood something, just ignore me😀 Have a good day!

L AH

When you guys watch this series again, you'll realize that so many frames had answers to most of the big questions of the show. I understand Ymir's backstory now that I've finished the show, like wow, the crafting of the story was just top tier.

Milik
>>138036151

🤣 Oak the patient one😁 Looking forward to more reactions! Cheers friends 🍻

Minerva Ravenclaw

Just a remark Reiner and Berthold don't know that Annie was captured, no one told them and they weren't in Stohess when it happened

Geewonie
>>138036151

It’s not really abandoned, remember that eren’s house is within the FIRST wall that was broken. They need to strategize and clear the whole area before they can get into it.

Geewonie

PLEASE after you guys are done with AoT, revisit it again 🤣 because everything is literally in front of you guys. When it comes to AoT there is no COINCIDENCE/small details, it was there because it has a purpose. You’ll be shocked 🤣

Geewonie
>>137978106

Still have goosebumps bcos of the insane plot!!! Even though I have watched it 7x 🤣

Geewonie
>>137914644

Fr by the start of s3 on the first watch I was so confused with everything 🤣

Geewonie

You know attack on titan is THE PEAK anime when it’s been 11 years since it’s first release, and people are still hyped abt it. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥🔥

Katryna Lavin

I’m so excited now that they’re getting to the meat of the premise, I can’t wait for their epiphanies bc quite a few of the theories have been on point. lol some not so much though so I’m not confirming / denying any spoilers 🤌🏼

MJK

There will be a time, when you guys will miss not having enough information to process hahaha Great reactions. 😁😁

Corey Harris

I love how you guys try to figure what is going on with the wall. This story is more cruel than you can’t even imagine.

Sigmor
>>137996450

Yes! I am floored by what I saw, but I dont remember it when watching it the first time. I have to say I dont think I've ever had more fun rewatching a series than AOT, theres so new stuff to recognize after knowing the context.

Sigmor
>>138047151

Somehow the show makes it seem so obvious and well thought out in hindsight, yet was mostly unpredicable while watching it. Rewatching it blows my mind how every little damn thing is connected, and I never recognized that on the first watch, so it feels like I am watching everything for the first time.

Alexiani Gollarza
>>137996450

The same with me, I don't even remember this much information in this episode and also, yes, rewatching this anime is as amazing as watching it for the first time

Neko Batyx

The entire plot of season 2 happens directly after the events of season 1 within a span of like 3 days. Remember that season 2 started right when Annie was captured and we went back 12 hours earlier to catch up with what the rest of the crew were up to. It's been a non-stop ride since then.

Laci
>>137914644

why say this? just let them find out on their own.
