LINK: Blade FULL REACTION

Back in the Vampire world, we go. Time for Answer and Oak to get the Blade experience! The story follows Blade’s mission to stop Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff), a renegade vampire with plans to unleash an ancient blood god.

Wesley Snipes as Blade was top-notch with a charismatic mix of stoicism and badassery, perfectly capturing the character's dark, brooding nature. His physicality and martial arts skills are on full display in this film. Kris Kristofferson and N'Bushe Wright are great in this as well.

Visually, it still holds up well for a 1998 film. We get some 90's nostalgia in here just a bit. Although some effects may seem dated by today's standards, they still deliver. The action scenes are expertly choreographed and it feels enhanced by a pulsating electronic soundtrack that amplifies the film's dynamic energy. While this and Twilight are on different levels, this was fun to see the dark and grit in the Vampire genre. Bring on Blade 2.

Let the journey begin!

Blade is really good, but man do I love Blade II. Looking forward to seeing you guys do that one (and man, I can't wait for the Mahershala version whenever it finally happens in the MCU).

Marquis keel

Wesley did all his stunts as he’s a black belt and this saved marvel from bankruptcy they had to sell xmen hulk and spiderman already but if this flopped marvel was done

Megan

I absolutely love Blade and will watch the series each year! It's impossible not to get pumped during the blood rave and that song gets regular rotation on my gym playlist. Wesley does his own stunts and is super fast. On Demolition Man, he had to purposefully slow down his fighting because the camera couldn't keep up, his movements were recorded as blurs. I think him being a black belt and his skill is what made this movie so great!

ElmSt Reactions

Can't wait for youtube edit, love this film

Liam Harrold

blade made a voice apperance in the eternals with kit harington

Jeff K

Regarding the blood rave: I still think that's the single best superhero introduction in movie history.

Love10 ❤️

🍿 great movie 🍿 absolute classic

Bloop

Please watch soul I beg😭🙏 it’s so underrated and incredibly emotional

Megan

I absolutely agree, in fact, I think it is the best main character intro ever. Even if I just put this movie on in the background, I always fully watch the club scene. It is one of my favorite movie movements of everything I have seen so far.

Jeff K

Damn do I hope they finally get that movie going before Mahershala ages out of the role. He's such an incredible choice, I'd hate to see his chance come and go.

Josh B.

I hope you guys react to Gotham sometime in the future its such a great underrated series, and Donal Logue who plays Quinn is a main character named Harvey Bullock in it and he is amazing.

Steven Warner

I’ve always wanted to see this, glad i get to share the experience with yall

Rob OnlyRoss

what i love about blade , because of blade success we was able to get all the newer marvel films , because from blades profits they was able to continue making more successful marvel films ..im grateful for blade ✌🏻

Samuel Bruce

One of the best superhero movies and easily one of the best one liners at the end, I still quote it lol

Donna Castellano

If you watch the What We Do in the Shadows tv series, you get a couple neat cameos from Donal Logue and Wesley Snipes. First season, IIRC.

Blade is honestly so well done in terms of it's tone and fight choreography (for when it was made), that when I think of an action hero type of character he still comes to mind as one of my top 5. Wesley Snipes just had a certain kind of charisma for that kind of role and it really worked for Blade. I'm glad they are trying to remake it (they did try a while back and it flopped pretty hard). Fingers crossed they do it right and give Wesley recognition of some type.

Its ame mario

I really hope wesley gets to show up in the next blade movie

Eric Wallace

"Her fuckin' head exploded!"

Also, John Carpenters Vampires is a must

Alexiani Gollarza

Just the intro and watching you smile and enjoy makes me happy, can't wait to see the movie with you! "That's where babies come from" ahahahha Answer you are awesome

Tanner Blue

This movie doesn't get the credit, but as one of the commenters said above, the success of Blade is what led to more marvel movies being made. I hear that he is going to be making a cameo in the new Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali. The sequel to this movie but but the third was not that good for several reasons. It was definitely campy, and not a worthy progression from the first two films.

Yen Shively

My god we are eating GOOD this month! 👏💪

I remember my dad having the DVD when I was younger. What a fun movie to rewatch, even though the special effects are dated, the synopsis, the acting and the humor ... Classssiiiic

I read in ScreenRant that the new Blade will be more emotional, sociable and more of a team player and possibly a team leader than Wesley Snipes portrayal*. The new version will better fit into MCU's more modern environment. This quote from ScreenRant reads "After debuting in cinemas in 1998, the R-rated Marvel comic adaptation Blade proved to be a hit for New Line Cinema. Ultimately, Blade became Marvel’s first box office success, influencing a roster of Marvel superhero movies that followed in the new millennium." * I had not realized that the 1998 version of Blade had such impact on Marvels popular super hero films.

Since you guys are doing anime now and are enjoying the vampire genre I suggest Castlevania. Lots of neat lore and amazing animation. I love that Answer brought up Grounded For Life! If some of you haven't seen it I HIGHLY recommend reacting to it. Super funny sitcom, with great cameos and a real feel of what being in a low income fair size family is like.
