Kazuma Satou

Next week will already be Episode 12, get ready boys! So this will be my final reminder to watch the Credits haha.

Awynze

Also, just a head's up. The next OP song is coming in a couple weeks and the visuals are very spoiler filled. We as the audience who has seen the show can let you know when to view it. It's the best way to experience the story during that part.

Ginzo
>>141726443

Please don't start the "don't watch the intro crap." The intro is designed to get you hype for the season. As they've seen already, not everything shown in the intro happens. The only way to know is if you've seen it before. A previous intro gave huge hints that Annie was a titan but they still didn't see it coming until after it was revealed. Let them enjoy the anime the way it is intended.

Buschi
>>141726168

No skipping through watch it from start to finish please thank youuu

Awynze
>>141726443

I'm fine with them keeping it, as it can lead to easier syncing with full length. Just a suggestion

Emily

Next week, with episode 12, you'll have an after credits scene. I personally advice against watching it, I think it's too spoiler-y, it makes you craft all kinds of theories about that upcoming moment, ruining a lot of the surprise (I've seen people correctly guess the inciting incident for that moment from the clues in that after credits scene, it sucks to be spoiled for such moments) Obviously, do you! If you wanna watch it then go for it. I just personally always at least want to give some more context around it. Hope it helps :)

Pathetic_Effort

I adore this theme that Ackermans are startled by another person's strength. Levi, Mikasa and Kenny are monstrously, physically strong. But Mikasa was startled by Erens strength through his absolute determination in the cabin when she was kidnapped. Levi was startled by Erwins strength through his command and order in the underground. Kenny is startled through Uris want for peace and understanding. It's a nice way exploration of what "strength" really is. I love this episode!

Emily
>>141730319

I gave my opinion in a respectful manner and am fine with whatever they choose If you ain't got nothing to say of value, then just don't say nothing If you want them to watch it, then make your own comment explaining why

Peeker

Just a friendly reminder to watch the ep 12 end credit. its also a bit important to not skip through the whole ending song

Peeker

the scene with levi and the crew has to be my favourite. the only scene where the only people smiling are levi and mikasa

Ushna Seeam

Kenny is such a well-written, complex character. Like Oak said, he's the guy you love to hate, and he was definitely one of my favourite characters in season 3. Personally, I feel it's better that they ended his story here in this way rather than giving him a redemption arc, because Kenny's done a LOT of bad things in his time, and having him team up with the good guys to redeem himself would not feel very believable. His whole characterisation and story is just perfect, and those lines he said just before he died, about everyone being a slave to something, are some of the most beautiful and important lines in the show.

CT

Burrito & Sasquatch 😭😭 I absolutely love these nicknames

Pathetic_Effort

Kenny is such an interesting characters and i love this episode. I have so many thoughts about Kennys' characterisation. Essay incoming lol Violence is all Kenny has ever known. His family was hunted down by the government that was meant to protect him. He was forced into the underground, he grew up surrounded by violence, death and bloodshed. Kenny followed this example in order to survive. Survival was the only "dream" that he had. And he was good as surviving. He was good at killing. He's an Ackerman, and the violence awoke something inside of him. When he heard he could gain more power, he didn't even hesitate when he went for it. But for the first time in his life, he was physically beaten. Almost crushed to death. And even though he had taken so many lives, Kenny was begging for his own. He already knew the hypocrisy of his own words. Kennys world view had shattered in this moment as he was no longer powerful, or in control. But the man who had the power over Kennys life/death didn't kill him. Instead he apologised to Kenny. Apologised for not protecting him. For his familys persecution. Literally begging for forgiveness. Kenny just does not understand Uri's actions. If a person tried to kill Kenny, Kenny kills them, because Kenny is more powerful than them. Kenny would have never begged, would never apologise, would never let his would-be-assasin go. Kenny just does not fundamentaly understand Uri's actions. But he desperately wants to! He wants to understand why he didn't die in that moment. This act affected Kenny so profoundly that he found himself unable to end his enemy's life, even with Uri face-down on the ground and his finger ready on the trigger. This man has all the power in the world. The power of a King. The power of a God. The power over life and death. The power to save humanity. Power over Kenny. But I think in this moment Uri was just being kind. But Kenny doesn't understand "being kind." Kenny has never experienced kindness. Instead Kenny thinks that Uri has accrued so much power that he has "escaped the cruel world." That through power, Uri has achieved a new worldview. And kennys wants this. He wants to see what the world looks like from Uri's "view." He want to be like Uri but, Kenny thinks the only way to achieve this wish is through the Founding Titan/ becoming the most powerful man around. So Kenny doubles down on his murderous ways in an effort to (ironically) gain compassion when the truth is compassion must be learned. He tries to use his established physical strength as a shortcut to gain emotional strength so of course it didn't work. Kennys dream crystallised after Frida inherited the Founding Titan. He saw Uri in Freda. He wanted to see what Uri sees. He wanted the Titan. But in the catacombs he learned that he could never have the founding Titan. He doesn’t have the right blood. And so he could never see what Uri "sees". He could never achieve his dreams. So he gives up. People cling to dreams in AOT. That is a motif throughout the story. It's what keeps the characters moving forward, it's what they strive for. I found it very interesting that only when Kenny gives up in his dreams, let's go of his obsession, does he actually gain understanding. Kenny finally understands what formed Uri's and Kenny connection. What united a serial killer and a pacifist. Compassion, empathy, understanding. Friendship. That's what Uri showed Kenny in their first meeting. Uri, when faced with an assasin trying to kill him, had no hatred in his heart. It's tragic that Kenny only understood the meaning of his life, at the end of his own. Power didn't make Kenny happy, in the end he just wanted to be with Uri. Be his friend. To understand him. To be treated with kindness. With empathy. Eren dream is to keep moving forward until all his enemies are destroyed. Uri wanted to keep moving forward until no more enemies are created. I have so many thoughts about this episode 😭😭😭

Leif

Remember to watch all the way through with the credits, not skipping to the end :) its best to experience everything in the credits

Petter Turi

The reason the Beast, Colossal, and Armored know Eren and the gang are coming to them, is because they are in Shiganishina, where Eren used to live before the walls fell. They know the Survey Crops and Eren is very interested in reaching it because of the basement, so they just need to wait till they arrive there.

Ida L
>>141726443

As the others are saying, i think its best to watch it like everyone else watched the show. i also think they should watch every outro at least once (outside of just watching it when something special gets put in the end).

Peeker

(i dont think this is spoilers) basically the reiner, bert, beast scene at the end, to summarize of what most likely happened, reiner and bert wanted to save annie, the beast wanted to retrieve the coordinate. they had a duel to decide which mission to do first. the beast won

Hafsah Ahmed

I think a great part of this episode that you guys didn't highlight was Uri's anti-violence perception which allowed Kenny and Uri to become 'Friends' also a big talking point was more information on the founding titan, what they're seeing that is making them compassionate and peace lovers, Kenny dream being somehow to obtain that power although he was a so called 'peice of shit' 😅 this ep gave more insight into the founding titan, begging the question what makes them so at peace with the fact they are imprisoning humanity in walls ...

Ida L
>>141730319

(i respect your opinion and can see your point but...) DEFINETLY WATCH IT! Please!! I say let them watch the show like everyone else did and don't take these things away from them. To me that part got me super excited and I looked forward sooo much to find out what the F** was gonna happen. It doesn't even spoil anything really. you just mainly go "what the fuck was that?!". And I think that if you manage to figure some things out ahead of time in this show then it's super satisfying when you find out you were right and it's a fun part of watching to think of theories and to play detective. I know A LOT of people will get disappointed it they skip that outro. Also important note for Dave!: It is not really an "after credit". It is shown in the middle of the outro so you guys are going to have to watch the whole outro all the way through to make sure you don't miss it.

Ibrahim

I hoped y’all skipped the credits next episode

Emily
>>141730319

Yo, take a frigging chill pill. I am NOT taking anything away from them, I literally said: Do you. I am letting them choose. I just think it's important for them to know the problem with that after credit scene. It spoils a LOT. When I was watching the show when it originally came out I didn't know what it was about and from the context clues alone it was very clear what was gonna happen, and a few episodes later when that moment happens, the entire impact of that moment was lost because to me it just felt like "welp, I've already seen this" And I've seen others echo this as well. That's why I am giving them context. If they end up watching it, that's fine, it's their choice. Y'all AoT fans really need to chill the heck out with your passive aggressiveness

ali wt

(no spoilers) Kenny didn't want to take the injection because it turns you into a dumb titan, you need to eat a titan shifter as a dumb titan to become a titan shifter like ymir when she ate reiner's friend.

Bambina
>>141730319

I respectfully disagree. I always think the same about people that don’t watch the openings, too. The episodes are made in a way that we should experience all parts of them - opening, ending and extra scenes, like the one in ep 12. When we’ve watched the series, we see it as a bigger spoiler than it really is, because we have the context behind it. The first time watcher doesn’t. For them sequences in the openings or the scene in after credits will just give excitement, because how can it be a spoiler when you lack the context, you know? Specifically that scene adds nothing but anticipation. It was intended to be seen and I think they should see it.

Zack Sutton

Don't forget to watch the end credits for episode 49 (3X12)

Ida L
>>141726168

Yes! Watch the whole outro don't skip anything. Very important!

Bambina
>>141726443

No, don’t start that. I already talked about it in another comment. The openings are made to be seen. You think of it as spoilers because you’ve seen the show. Seeing scenes in the opening that will happen at some point is like watching a trailer - you don’ t really know what’s going on, because you lack context. You will just get more excited because you see that some characters will appear and they will do whatever. If it was such a spoiler, it would not be in the opening. Again, it was intended to be seen by the viewer, so they should see it.

Emily
>>141730319

Thanks for respectfully disagreeing. However, I disagree with the notion that it's "made in a way that we should experience all parts" When season 3 came out, there was a period of time between season 3 part 1, and season 3 part 2. The after credits scene was simply a tease for people to be hyped while waiting. Since there's no waiting for people that experience the show now, there's literally no need to watch the spoiler (because it 100% is a spoiler, even if you don't know the context, it still spoils the events that are unfolding at that very moment)

ali wt

You guys misunderstood something beast said I won because he just beat reiner in a sparring match (you can see his titan beat and him coming out of it)

Emily

For pronunciation purposes: Reiss has the same vowel sound as Rice Bertholdt is Ber-told basically (a bit softer on the t) Reiner is Rai-nahr, the ai sounds like eye Hope that helps!

Nick [ iNiKKo ]

Make sure to watch next weeks episode 12 after credits scene just don't skip anything after TO BE CONTINUED and keep watching until the end.

Ida L
>>141730319

not sure why you took that badly. Like I said I get why you think that. I just disagreed and said why I do. And my comment was mostly just directed to the boys to let them know my opinion. then they can make up their mind on what to do after seeing what people in the comments think. Wasn't intended to be passive aggressive at all but i get that those things aren't always easily translated in text. I am mainly just excited for them to see it.

Marbelis
>>141730319

For me I think is well after credit scene place at the right time. It brings excitement

Marbelis
>>141726443

If you haven’t watched the episode the intro cant spoiled you. They wouldnt make sense. only after watching you can place things, i think the intros are meant to pump the viewers and the upcoming one is great.

Marbelis

My favorite part of this episode is levi smiling at the end….Specially because he didn’t lose any of his “crew members” for the first time in a mission.

Daanaa

LET THE ENDING PLAY THROUGH ON EPISODE 12 Don't skim through or you'll miss it 😁

Pat O
>>141730319

I agree with you Emily. The ending scene is put in the show as a spoiler to keep watchers hooked during the break between seasons. But I doubt these guys will get too much from it. It’s not obvious and they frequently miss things. Plus the way it’s worked into the ending scene it awesome and shouldn’t be missed.

donna
>>141732768

i've never seen better explanation of kenny's character, this is so good!!! kenny is really one of the best written characters in this show.

Skellyp
>>141726443

Yeah, each reactor does things different. Some pause and talk through episodes, others let it play through. Some skip intros some don’t. I’m fine with however they chose to consume it.

Skellyp
>>141730319

Personally, I feel like saying, it has spoilers, is a spoiler in itself. It’s something you only realize as a spoiler in hindsight. It’s like reading chapter 1 of the manga and saying skip the top of the 13th page, because it’s a spoiler for the end of the show. You could definitely make some somewhat accurate predictions based on that one page. Also, I find most ppls predictions on what’s going on in that scene are wrong.

Skellyp

Diamond Dave, is there a way I can make a spoiler tag comment so that us viewers can talk about spoilers without you guys seeing the conversation? I’ll make another comment that is a test. Tell me if it would work maybe.

Skellyp

(Test) SPOILER WARNING!!!!! This is a test to see if we can have a spoiler discussion in their comment section. Let me know if this would work!

Evelyn Rebecca

great reaction! so excited to see s3 pt2 i hope y'all can watch 3x16, 17, and 18 together!

Upamanyu Baishya

So this is info that we already know or seen in the show but I wanna clear it up a beat. So the coordinate is shown as a power that Eren have. We have seen him control titans in season 2 finale. But remember the royal family also have a titan power, called the founding titan, ya know cuz the 1st king founded the civilization inside the wall. So the power is passed down from one king to another every generation. Rod's father passed it to his brother Uri, then Uri passed it to Rod's daughter Frieda. Whoever have this founding power can control the mind of the people and alter their memories and control the dumb titans. Thats how the 1st king built the walls using titan hardening. But exception is the king or the founding titan's power can't control some clans like the Ackerman. Now we have seen that Eren's father ate Frieda and stole her power. And later he injected Eren with the serum and then Eren became a dumb titan and ate his father. So that means now Eren has the same power as Frieda, or to say Eren has the founding's power. I guess the coordinate is this power to control titans as well as others.

Sean Carroll
>>141742384

Just say SPOILER!!!!!! In capital letters and leave lots of space below. that should be enough of a warning

Skellyp
>>141742384

Yes, I made a test version of that after this comment. I just wanted to get approval from Dave first before I did that.

Aggiiee

aot just keeps you on your toes with those cliff hangers lol. I also appreciate your admiration for Kenny and how impactful he was on you. Love your reaction to different names for "Ryanair and Bernard" xd

Fatipapi

The beast titan dude knows eren is coming to them because he knows eren &co want to reach the basement and also plug up the walls to retake wall maria, so all they have to do is just chill in shiganshina and wait for them

Nisha

If you want genuine reactions stop trying to leave spoilers. I get people are hyped for them to know things, but you're ruining it for the people who want them to have to come up with theories.

Tiffany

This first part of season 3 is phenomenal. Not just action but also heavy on backstory, and giving us viewers more info drops on the world these characters live in while polishing our crew. It’s damn near perfect, which isn’t easy to say with so many shows out there. LEVI’S SMILING?? YALL, we all felt that one🥹 also guys! these upcoming eps will definitely be worthwhile as it features some of my favorite ones (especially the next ones coming up) but keep an eye on episode 12, be sure to watch it completely through, there’s something delicious waiting for you I promise ☺️ you guys are awesome! Stay healthy guys and PLEASE STAY HYDRATED DEAR LORD THE SUN IS OUT TO BURN US ALL…. Later folks 🫡🫡

Skellyp

It is mentioned multiple times in the show that the world is both cruel and beautiful. The same goes for opening and endings. The opening for the first part of this season is on the beautiful side, and there aren’t many of those so I appreciate this more “beautiful” opening.

Tiffany
>>141732768

This is a wonderful comment. This is basically a perfect mirror to my thoughts on Kenny as a character. Born in violence and bloodshed, fighting for survival, it’s all he knows, it’s what drives him forward. Uri being the complete opposite, peace and pacifism being what drives him forward. Wow. A1 analysis man❤️

Chai Tea

“Best Part of my Week!” Mine too!! These reactions bring me so much joy and I am LOVING rewatching this amazing show again, alongside you guys!

Patience

You guys are 40% ready, but 60% more till you can truly BE READY for what has happened , what will happen, and what can Happen. For what is now has happened and not happened did it have to happen ?

Petter Turi
>>141732887

How is this spoiler? Just said where they currently are, and they asked how they know Erens gonna come there. Didn't reveal anything new that hasn't been shown in the episodes they've watched so far.

Mhyyy

can't wait for nextweek 🤣

Green Nolan

This isn't a spoiler. Most people prefer the back half of season 3 to the front half of season 3. So glad you loved the front half. 😍

Green Nolan
>>141734601

You guys misunderstood something the "Beast Titan" said. He said: "I won" Because he had just beaten Reiner (the armored titan) in a sparring match. You can then see the beast titan shifter appear.

Joydan Bri’an

Can't wait for next week!!! I just know you guys will flip. This is one of my favorite episodes (I end up loving all the dialogue heavy episodes for some reason like season 2 ep 34) Kenny is such an interesting character. My heart always breaks for Levi when he says, "why did you leave me". We never really get to see him be emotional aside from the ova so him saying that really lets me know he was hurt by Kenny leaving him. Anyways, I'm so excited for next week guys!

Israel

Man these next couple of weeks are gonna be fire! Also the guy at the end, yall are not meant to know them so don't worry too much about that. Other than that, anything else would be spoiler-y so can't wait!

Trevor Evans

Answers face was priceless when he was the beast titan. Onto the next arc!

Hani Md Mahatri

I'm sure many have commented on this but don't forget to watch the ending credits of episode 49 (3x12). I know some also advised against it but you have to watch it. If we have to go through the emotions of watching it, YOU HAVE TOO AS WELL. hahaha.. I can't wait, next week is not coming fast enough! Great reaction guys, I'm thoroughly enjoying myself.

Kel

Next week we get one of my top ten episodes!!! So excited as we keep moving closer and closer to the best parts of this show.

MRMOONHEAD

Don’t forget about the mid end credits scene in episode 49

Scott Bringel

Answer's face when bigfoot titan mentioned rescuing Annie was priceless!

B23

Kenny and Uri 🥺 and omg i can't believe we're almost at my fave arc!! commenting again, please watch ep 16, 17, and 18 together 🙏🏽

主 Gomaane

Also check out cyberpunk edgerunners and jojo

慎太郎 山崎

After finish Season3, watch EP 12 after credits. I believe it makes you guys reaction better.

Sean Carroll
>>141732887

This is not a spoiler. Reiner and bertholdt were there during commander Erwin’s speech in season 1 when he mentioned erens basement. They know that the basement is a massive goal of the scouts so they are in the town where erens basement is waiting for the scouts to arrive

Xoan

PLEASE GUYS REMEMBER TO WATCH THE EPISODES 16,17 and 18 TOGETHER ITS JUST HOW IS MEANT TO BE. You guys are awesome!!

Farquad

Mason's beef with the OP is so random and funny. It's not my taste either. Don't worry, the OP changes on episode 12 or 49 so there's that. And don't forget to react to the ending song of episode 12, not really crucial but there's a strange change in it that could spark some new theories for you guys.

Farquad
>>141788620

I agree but I think they should do the last 3 episodes together instead cause they go hand in hand too. They release two episodes per week, having 16, 17, and 18 together for a week means we'll only have episode 15 by itself for the week before.

Kel
>>141773370

Actually no, it’s the other one! Night Before.

Leo

Can't wait to hear their reaction to season 4 openings, I know they'll like the second one but wonder if they'll like the first one

Sean Carroll
>>141792983

Mason Quinn won’t like the first one but they will al absolutely love the second one. Everyone loves RUMBLING RUMBLING

krai

We're going ALL THE WAY in next week! Love that you guys aren't giving in to the people pushing to skip but will watch it as intended by the creators of Attack on Titan.

Katie Madsen

Commenting again but please, please watch episodes 16, 17 and 18 together! (53, 54, 55)

Alexiani Gollarza
>>141815393

noooo, let them suffer ahahahahhahahahahahaha I just rewatched those exact episodes to see how they end and made the count and evil laughed at the endings xD at least they'll see 17 and 18 together

Alexiani Gollarza

This episode is amazing!! The backstory goes by so fast, in only 15 minutes you get all you need to know about him, amazing!! Also, the best ending, the punch, the smile, the beast titan coming back. *screaming* the next 10 episodes, boy, can't wait!!!!

Rena Unnie

nah, you're not supposed to know who he is ^^ They just showed us better his human face, which we barely saw around the end of season 2

Miguel Hernandez

Y’all would definitely love full metal alchemist brotherhood. Levi always gave me mustang vibes

Skellyp
>>141742477

Viewing it on my phone has “see more” to show the rest. Maybe I try with more than 10 spaces.

Mhyyy

diamond's dave prediction everybody dies 😁 lets see 😁

SamurEye

Someone please tell Diamond Dave that Reiner is the armored titan and Bertoldt is the Colossal titan haahhahahaah

Marco Gutierrez
>>141726443

Seriously, I can't fathom people making that argument. Those scenes were put into the intro for a reason, which means that it was *designed* to be viewed at that point in time. Not everyone pauses every single frame of an intro in order to spend hours analyzing it to get a spoiler. I think some people just don't understand that most people just watch something and leave it at that instead of hyperfixating on every little detail to suck the fun out of it.

sami

Don't Skip over the ending song in episode 12, please watch it without skipping or hovering over it. I also recommend you to release episode 13,14,15 together, then 16,17,18 the week after. Trust me I'm not suggesting this because I'm greedy for a back to back triple drop, it's just those episode are meant to watch that way, I hope you see my comment.

Peeker
>>141792983

@Sean Carroll yeah i get the vibe Mason Quin wont like it because while its not emotional, its also not as "intense" as the other ones. Lets just hope he wont keep talking about how much he hates it as much as he does with Red Swan

SilverString

Hi guys! Thanks for amazing reaction!😁 There is already a lot of comments about upcoming episodes, but please try to react to 13,14,15 togather and also to 16,17, 18. I am sure we all fully respect Your schedule and we don't say that out of greed, but from knowing that the watching experience is much better that way. Maybe You could take a week off between seasons in return? Anyways, whatever You decide we will enjoy your work as always^^ all the best friends🤘

Onomatopeja

About post credit scenes. Easy cowboys. They are just teasers made to keep us on edge when AoT wasn't finished. They won't miss anything.

cozysans

LOL oak is so wholesome in the opening song

JasonGamer

For the end credits scene on Episode 12, i HIGHLY suggest to watch it. The outro song and visuals are amazing plus some special effects for the first part finale. And then the tiny teaser scene comes after that, which is not gonna do much to spoil you guys since there’s no context for what’s happening. :)

SilverString
>>141975260

Duh....Noone is saying they will die. If you can read, you can see i wrote that whatever they do will be fine. You comment is pointless. If you want them to watch 2 ep a week, as they do, put the comment up and let other people with different opinion put theirs. Jeez...there is always THAT one person🥱🥱😒😒

Skellyp
>>141742384

But I want to talk about their theory’s. And there’s no where to do that.

Cherrie

Please please please, watch the end credits for the next two episodes. Don't fast forward just let it play please please please!

Epicastro

Levi smiled and thanked the guys because this was the first time no one in his squad died after a mission. He has a very heavy record of seeing soldiers dying

Renteezy

i guess the reason why Levi smiled is that he's glad none his squad died. I mean he lost a lot of comrades and he hates that. 3x10 "FRIENDS" (COMRADES)

krai
>>141975260

I was just saying the feeling/ excitement of wanting to binge but they can't due to their schedule is just as good in general as a treat of 3 episodes. A win-win situation, just like what your original comment was saying.
