Fun fact for everyone here, theres an animator commentary on this movie and all the animators talk about how they brought the movie to life + other things abt animation :D!!

omg i saw this in theaters TWICE and it was amazing! I had to lie and tell my cousin i didnt see it cause she wanted to watch it too lol. When jack jack was invisible and floating around, the audio and surround sound made it feel so real.

It was a long time coming, I was admittedly nervous when they had announced the sequel, but they did amazing, loved it, rewatch both frequently. I also liked that it picks up immediately after the first one, and not with a time skip of some kind. Pixar never fails imo.

To be fair, Jack Jack is everyone's favorite. The closest second has to be Edna. Bless their combination, it's such a chef's kiss. 😘

I was nervous you guys wouldn’t like it because surprisingly there’s many people that don’t as I’ve need many negative comments online. The Incredibles is my absolute favorite Pixar movie and this one is just as amazing! I myself was nervous when it came out but I loved every bit of it. Soooo good!

Not sure if anyone pointed it out already but Jack Jack having so many powers... he's a Jack of all trades. Idk if the writers did that intentionally but he is definitely my favorite part of this movie. The first one came out when I was about 6 or 7, and I prefer this one to the first one just because of the story, and also Jack Jack 😂

They don't compare it to other animated films like others do, some people hate change . Instead of just appreciating the time, effort, and passion in a film , people just compare it to another film. IN a different universe m different theme, and different audience . So I LURV how these guys are open minded and just love the entertainment in from of their eyes <3 ALSO JACK JACK is my fav the MOST Powerful superhero in the world. ALSO EDNA designed syndromes costumes......with a cape ...she can see he was not a good guy and you saw.....She hates capes and gave him one

when I watched this in the theaters the action blew me away and it was my favorite aspect of the movie, I also liked the more serious tone. It didn't have as big of an impact on me like the first but on second watch there was more to appreciate. some people have criticized this as being a rehash of the first movie and that's valid. I think it lacked the emotional stakes for the family compared to the first, the new supers were lack luster, and some decisions I didn't care for like the use of the underminer. Nonetheless Brad Bird showed his action movie chops for sure and I loved it. Bob being a good dad was touching, Jack Jack with the raccoon was hilarious, and the music is of course great. enjoyed this rewatch, I saw a lot more nuance in the characters and the potential for a third movie 👍👍 thanks guy.

Loved rewatching this amazing movie with y'all! A few interesting things to note on the 14 year gap: Brad Bird did three movies in that time Ratatouille (2007), M:I GP (2011) and Tomorrowland (2015). He had sequel ideas while making the first one but didn't start truly writing the script until 2015. Also, with the increase of superhero content in this time, he seemed to have had to rework a lot and scrap a villain or two to keep originality in the genre amongst the rise of the MCU and DCU. Brad Bird and Pixar also were set on not making a sequel just for the sake of it, and they were fine monetarily, so with the audience saying "we're ready when you're ready" he probably felt he could take his time and develop exactly what he wanted without holding back his other works.

When this came out I had no expectations just because I wasn't too pleased with sequels at the time but this was so good. I know I might get some hate but I liked this much more then the first, don't get me wrong I really like the first one but there are moments where the film drags for me but here it's just go, go go, the animation of course is amazing and I liked that they introduced more superheros, I wish they had shown them more. The action is great, I love the family dynamic, Jack Jack definitely stole the show and I think it's a lot funnier. I was roaring with laughter with Jack Jack and the raccoon when I first saw it, same with violet and the water, lol. The only thing I thought that really lacked was the villain, first I thought there was no need for a surprise one, it honestly just made Elastigirl look stupid. To me it was very obvious that she was the villain and I'm tried of the surprise villains and her plan didn't even really make any sense, they were already banned and no way of being lifted, she helped it in the end. But I was surprised that her brother was innocent, now that I didn't see coming, I thought they both were in on it together but she was the mastermind but other that I love this one.

It's amazing how you talked about it not being fair to compare animated movies considering Brad Bird is a giant advocate for animation to not be it's own genre in awards categories - but to be it's own medium. He believes animation can do anything and just because it's animatino doesn't mean it can't be an action film, a romance, or comedy! It's also like his message in Ratatoulie - anyone can cook!!

I mean, I can understand the negative comments. It's not that great of a movie, though honestly I'd take this over the trash that we've been getting in the last 5 years. Incredibles 2 suffers from being at the starting trend of the industry hiring people that have no business being involved with writing and creating a movie. Whether it's in the script in the character design, in the storyboarding, or whatever else, these people just have no business being involved because they clearly don't know what they're doing. It's plain old nepotism, and it started around the time that this movie came out. These days, it's pure nepotism, but of the political variety. People getting hired because they hold the "correct" political opinions and will do what they can to push the agenda. That's why Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, and everything else has been so garbage lately. This movie was fine, but I'd rather *good* over just fine.
