THE TRIPPLEEE DROPP

Peeker

btw connies joke at the beginning only makes sense if you know Japanese. "house" in Japanese kinda sounds like "jeager" (which is erens surname) connie basically made a pun out of "eren jeager" and "house"

Fairy_Chim95

Erwin </333 His final speech always gives me chills. :')

Lu

IM SO EXCITED LETS GOOO

Jen Garcia

I HAVE BEEN WAITING ALL WEEEEEEEKKK

Sigmor

You might look up the dubbed version of Erwins speech, its one of the few times in Anime I just really felt like it surpasses the original.

Artem Dmytrenko

The voice acting of Erwin is just incredible.

e

LETS GOOOOOOO

AAAHHHHHHHH! ANOTHER TRIPLE FEATURE!!!! FUCK YEAH!!! LET`S SCREAM AND RAGE WITH ERWIN!!! XD *rides off to the next episode reaction, frantically dodging distractions like if they were Beast Titans stone ammo*

SamurEye

YALL HAVE TO WATCH THE DUB ERWIN SPEECH

max

that speech is one of my favorite moments in manga and anime lol

Lovisa🍭

MY SOLDIERS RAAAGE!!!!

krai

it's true that there's no way out that situation. The fact that Erwin's got a plan is proof that he is legit smarter than any of us commoner watchers.

Gigi

I couldn’t see a possibility either the first time I watched 😭 literally cried when Erwin gave that speech

Jonathan Lopez

Erwin DUB is a lot better in my opinion! Now that i said my opinion about dub being better. All the anime sub community is gonna come after me 😂

S

The foreshadowing when Jean said: "This distraction is so obvious..."

Rena Unnie

Eren was so tiny, always cracks me up when Berutodkzdz kicks him in the air.

Pham Hung

You guys should totally check out the English version of Erwin's speech. It is one of the rare occasion that hearing it in a language you know is that extra layer emotions.

I've always fought against the weebs that insist on listening to anime in a language that they don't understand. Japanse voice acting is just plain wrong. Armin sounds like an 8 year old girl in Japanese, and that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

JOJO

yall have to see erwins charge in dub and react to it! it elevates the scene even more with the voice actor on point

Lee

Welcome to the Machine- Pink Floyd?

Jonathan Lopez
>>143716303

Tell me about it bro. Have you heard goku in Japanese?? Doesn’t sound to manly In my opinion 😂🤣

Manny D.

Booted the episode up and then my power went out 😭

Erin Dias

"I know you guys had multiple watches, maybe some of you 100 times." -- Wow, that call out. Why'd you do us like that, Double D? Lol, this is definitely a favorite episode of mine, as well as many others, I'm sure. Erwin's speech in this is his best, in my opinion. The chills I get as he's leading the charge towards their demise, knowing that he's giving up the dream that he's worked so hard for, simply to be the symbol of strength, bravery and leadership for the terrified scouts who gave their hearts to the fight. It's unbelievably powerful. And then the 'RAGE, SCREAM, FIGHT' lines? Whew! As always, this was a wonderful reaction and commentary from y'all! I can't wait to load up the next two! Thank you!

About size differences they are kinda inconsistent. If you go back and look at the shot where Eren is pushing Bertholds leg he would easily fit through the door next to him while in other shots he in one height with the roofs. However it makes you get into Erens shoes seeing it that way. From Erens pov all he sees is this massive leg and looking up there is more titan than sky. So the size being inconsistent isnt all to bad imo.

Kel

I feel like this was the longest week ever. But we are finally here and I’m so so so ready to have some good cries while watching with my dudes. Best 3 episodes of all!

Joaquin garcia

literally goosebumps in this episode

Mhyyy

when the basement comes make sure to take notes 🤣

Jonathan Lopez

Answer and oak look really sad at the end of the episode. I know the feeling tho the first time I watched had me sad and in shock as will.

Chai Tea

MY SOLDIERS RAGE!!! 😤 🐎

Manny D.

Erwin 👏👏👏 that speech. My soldiers rage! My soldiers scream! My soldiers fight!

Aaron Yin

Yeah the inconsistency with the size is one thing that I find out of place here. On paper Eren's titan is about 12-15 meters tall, while bert's is 60 meters, so he should be somewhere near colossal's knee.

B23

i feel like it's the 1st time watching this episode all over again 🥹 Erwin Smith, you'll always be famouuuuuus

Ibrahim

Y’all remember in episode 12 when Erwin said “use me as bait”

Sophie So

I always get a little teary at this episode, such a cruel end to Erwin's journey

Fatipapi

first time i watched this i didnt see any way out of this shit either, especially w brock coming back for round two, it just kept getting worse and worse

Luis Nava

Erwin’s speech in English hits so hard too. It will never not get me pumped!!!

Anxiety Plays

Man, I started crying after watching this episode with you guys. It gets even more impactful after knowing everything that happens. </3

MeloTaughtMe

Erwins speech in every version has me ready for war

MooLake

Always get sad I see Isabel and Furlan in the mist in this episode for Levi :(

Natasha Sullivan

This is the other episode that always makes me cry, no matter how many times I watch it. And I'm never ready for it... ever I also dislike this image that Erwin has of himself.. that he is a bad person and a liar unless he's pure.. He's not allowed to want anything for himself, or he's a bad person. He didn't like or con any of those cadets. He told them the truth. He just happens to be one of those speakers who could lead anyone into battle for them.

JBurley

I know I am a month late, but I would advise you all go and rewatch this episode, or at least the final charge in English Dub. Erwin's English Voice Actor is amazing.

To each it's own but the english dub almost always lacks the depth the japanese has. It also sounds overplayed, as if the characters are constipated. This is specially the case with Dragon ball Z (kai in english is great though). Nothing to do with being a weeb, it's about watching material as close to the original intentions as possible. Anime in english often feels off because the very expressive style of storytelling and animations does not suit the english language as well as the japanese. The way the japanese behave, think, speak and express themselves has it's own internal coherence that feels right as a whole.
