That scene with Larys at the start, i saw it more as a hmmm whose side are you actually on sort of thing, the fact that he would hide something important like that from Aemond… i think he realises that he cant manipulate Aemond like he could Aegon, which is why he wants him to be healed ASAP so hes back on the council as king…

this is the best ep of the show imo

Just a little bit of lore of Hugh the Hammer (who claimed Vermithor). The woman he claims to be his mother is Saera Targaryen, daughter of King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne, younger sister to Prince Baelon (Viserys and Daemon’s dad). King Jaehaerys (the king before Viserys, known as the Good King), had a whole bunch of kids, by the time near his death he only had two heirs left: his oldest granddaughter Rhaenys (Queen Who Never Was) and his oldest grandson Viserys. One of his daughters was Princess Saera, she was wild and wilful as a child and after disgracing herself her father banished her to become a Septa. She chose to run away where she worked in brothel. In the books it’s rumoured she eventually ended up in one of the Free Cities in Essos and owned her own pleasure house. She must’ve had Hugh while working in one of the brothels, this makes Hugh, Viserys and Daemon’s cousin. Vermithor actually belonged to King Jaehaerys and hasn’t had any other rider, so it’s very ironic that the man who claims his is his own bastard grandson, from the daughter he disowned and caused him so much sorrow.
