BEEN WAITING FOR THESE EPISODES ALL WEEEEEK LETS GOOOOO

Clorox bleach G

THIS is the episode I’ve been waiting for. I think how they’ve handled the war hammer is genius. It’s power is so ridiculously overpowered however it’s greatly combatted by its exceedingly vulnerable weakness. Legit just snip that cord and it’s done.

Stray

I NEED MORE

alannah

i can remember the day this episode came out so clearly. i had a massive party with my friends and we screamed throughout the entire episode!

Parsa Habibi

Something you guys said at the end which I want to correct. Don't worry this isn't a spoiler, it was explained in season 3. The 9 titans won't end if a carrier dies without getting eaten, the titan will be randomly passed on to an Eldian baby yet to be born.

>>146984751

Piggy backing off of this comment just to add that Magath also mentions it in this episode. I'm paraphrasing a bit but he says that they can't just kill Eren because it would only prolong the problem when the founding and attack titan powers go to a new born.

Lovisa🍭

This is one of the episodes I've been most excited about for you guys to get to🕺 It's definitely one of my favourites!!

vik56

No spoilers: Some food for thought. There is some great subtext in this episode on the ease at which a nation can justify atrocity against another people when they feel that they hold the moral high ground and are justified in their actions. The thin veneer of separation from responsibility and morality when those acts will be committed in lands far away and against the "right" people. The pride and self-assured confidence of a people as they make a declaration of war from the safety of their borders and condemn their enemies to die. The naive thinking that only those responsible will pay the price and innocents can be spared during times of war. The arrogance to believe that the violence will stay far away from home. This episode asks the audience a simple question: What level of atrocity is justified if the "world" (read: your nation's world and way of life) will be saved? To what lengths will a people go to secure their future against a world that hates them for who they are? Hated not for policy or economic interests, but merely for the crime of being born. "Why!? Because I was born into this world!" -Eren

Eric

I have an inkling that maybe these guys never read or watch or listen to any anti war novel, movie, series or song. I don’t know how they will take what is coming.

starstrucker

Nice brainstorming guys keep writing down those predictions! They did mention earlier on in the show that the nine titans get reborn in an unborn Eldian after they die; as long as it isn't passed on to another person via chomping. Marley was able to keep the titans in their power by making sure that the successors were ready to take over before the expiration date arrived!

Tysurge

Just a small correction Dave. Eren and Armin can’t just let their power expire. They’ve said before that a new Eldian would be born with the power. Also, they just announced that they’re combing the last few episodes and releasing it in theaters with better animation. Don’t know if that’s something you guys would want to do or just react to the entire show all at once

Jae

One of my absolute favorite scenes in all of AOT is the ending of this episode when Porco(Jaw Titan) is faced head on with the Scouts and he says “You’re kidding? Can’t you see I’m a Titan?! These guys are just humans, yet they’re coming to kill me?!” It always makes me reflect like yeah to someone who didn’t live the life of the Scouts have had to it’s absolutely crazy to have a human fight a Titan, especially a Titan shifter head on. Even their own people within the walls think they’re nuts. The visuals and the music, it’s so good. The Scouts all coming and surrounding Porco, it’s like devils would be one word for them lol. Like I know that the Warriors (Titan shifters) were told of the Scouts but this was the moment when I knew that no one in Marley fully understood that the Scouts were truly killing Titans head on, even with what the world might consider “crude technology” cause no one fights the titans head on. But the Scouts while they may have fear of dying, they always know when it’s time to lock in.

Conor Moriarty

Small tidbit @diamond dave, when the artillery cannons are returning fire on eren when hes punching the war hammer, the cannon fire lines up with the beats of the soundtrack. really cool small detail.

David Wong

I did strongly urge you guys to watch 64/65/66 in one sitting because of how bad that "to be continued" is at the end of 65 lol. Please do consider 78/79/80 in one go. It follows the pattern and trajectory of "Can they keep making the episodes better? Yes they can!"

Joey Patterson

Can someone help me here? What ever happened to Yamir (Historia's friend) is she still around or did I just miss or forget something?

CJ
>>146995001

Porco ended up eating her, so she’s dead now. Ymir decided to go back with Reiner and Bertholdt last season because she understood what they were going through and wanted to help them out. If she hadn’t, they would’ve completely botched their mission by failing to retrieve the founder and losing both the Female and Jaw Titan. Now the only losses they had were two warriors (Annie, Marco), and one titan (Female).

Elizabeth Green
>>146995001

The new jaw titan, Galliard, ate her after she wrote the letter to Historia and Reina promised to have it delivered.

Lesedi

We need 3 releases a week... waiting for these 2 episodes is all a do from tuesday to sunday. anyways keeo up the good work, i am RWA for next week.

Ivan Rasmussen

Ditto to what Starstrucker said! Can't wait for next week and yeah, things are getting intense!

Drift3r

Great reaction however the theory that Eren and Armin can eat all the other Titans and then just die doesn't work. The reason why it doesn't work was explained in a earlier episode where it was noted that Titan powers simply get redistributed randomly to new born Eldian baby if/when someone with Titan powers dies instead of transferring their Titan by allowing a newly created dumb Titan to eat them.

SRigby
>>146995001

Season 4 episode 2 shows her titan getting passed on to Porco

Fer I

What an amazing discussion you guys had!! These episodes are one of my favorites from the entire show, they're just full of everything and keep you at the edge of your seat. Can't wait for next week!

Marbelis

Guys don’t forgot that they say the titan power goes to a baby if the owner die and doesn’t get eaten so even if Eren just let it die it will be reborn… also we started seen Eren been a bit disattached cold attitude when he was getting his dad memory years ago

Geewonie

told you guys, you should have watch 4x5- 4x7 in one sitting 🤣🤣

Sean Carroll
>>146986990

Not sure what you are insinuating but from what I see these guys are asking all the right questions

Sean Carroll
>>146992291

78, 79 and 80 is an absolute must watch trilogy. I pray they do the trilogy one more time for these episodes

Sean Carroll

Now imagine if they decided to watch the next episode and completed the trilogy. The next episode is my favourite of the three episodes

Sean Carroll

No matter how many theories you come up with you will never be ready for what’s coming. The best is yet to come

Rafael Ramirez
>>146984751

Which would be an incredible risk to possibly arm some other nation with the Founding and/or the Attack Titan if any non-Marleyan internment camps get the powers and Marley doesnt find out until its too late.

Rafael Ramirez
>>146995001

In season 3 episode 21 in the letter she tells Historia that it won't be long until she dies. Historia then gets a glimpse of Ymir in chains like when Eren was about to be eaten earlier in the season. Then in season 4 episode 2 Galliard talks about seeing the memories of his predecessor and how she returned the Jaw titan to them which is only possible with him eating her.

Damian Ives

In the schedule it said you guys were reacting to 3 episodes... what happened?

Badd Medicine
>>147005880

We have not said we would be doing 3. And we haven't posted this weeks schedule yet. So I'm a little confused at how you thought there would be 3. We have always said we would do 2 per week with some exceptions. I would recommend watching intros of 1x1 through 1x4 again.

Tiffany

I WAS WAITING FOR THIS SINCE EP 1! Wasn’t this all you ever hoped for and some?! The reaction at the end made my week, just the collective “AHH GODDAMNIT” from you 4 was amazing lol ❤️The part that always hypes me up is when Eren is sitting on his titan and says “now or never, Mikasa” and then Levi coming in clutch! OH my god, goosebumps EVERY TIME. I also like that you guys made the connection between the destruction happening here and the destruction that happened in ep 1. Please keep the theories coming guys, one thing about AoT, there’s never a short supply of questions/speculations.

Damian Ives
>>147005880

Maybe it was an older schedule I saw and thought it was this weeks. I just renewed my subscription so that's probably what it was. Apologies for the confusion. Still love the reactions guys so delayed gratification it is lol

Skellyp

lol, the answer assumed the gender of the Warhammer titan and called them a him. 😂

Anguis Viridis

This wait is going to be excruciating😂😭

Skellyp

Fun fact, if one of the 9 were to die with out passing on their Titan to someone else, the power will be inherited by an Eldian yet to be born. So Eren and armen couldn’t end the 9 in that way. That is also why magith says “we can’t kill him, that only delays the problem. we need to have the warhammer eat him.”

Ronald Bohne

Next week ... phew gonna be a good one.

Isabel Schertel

This is probably my favorite episode from aot, I've been waiting for this reaction since you started and you did not disappoint 🔥

Isabel Schertel

The way porco is so shocked at how the "mere humans" were charging at him, a Titan, is never not satisfying. These "devils" were forced to defend themselves bc of people like Porco. And even tho the loss of innocent lives is always a tragedy, our guys got at least a little bit of revenge.

JOJO

Yall gonna go crazy next ep lol cant wait

e

W-W-W-WA-WAR HAMMER!!!! COOLEST TITAN DESIGN!

Samuel Sisson

Love the reaction, but theres a problem with yalls theory. If a successor doesn't inherit a titan power from somebody then the power gets sent to a random eldian that has yet to be born. That is also why the Marleyans were so worried about killing Eren without having a titan inherit the power. They would have no clue where the power of the founder went.

Hyperaware

Notice how in everyone’s eyes, the Attack Titan looks more monstrous and scary. He’s not the innocent Eren we know, he’s become an evil entity commiting atrocities.

Hyperaware

The War Hammer Titan is so elite but Levi pulling up was the best scene, he’s everyone’s favorite👏🏼

Ya Boy

I love seeing you guys appreciate the comeback of the one and only, Levi Ackerman! Seeing you guys react to this makes me feel like I'm watching it for the first time again and it's my 10th or 11th time watching it so that says a lot. Thanks for watching and sharing, I can't wait for next week to see you guys react to these CRAZY next episodes!!!

Kel

Man man man this next week is going to feel like FOREVER. Can’t wait for the next one, every time I watch you guys react to this show my cheeks hurt from smiling so big.

TexasSnyper

That ending scene gives me CHILLS every time! A Pack of hunters pouncing on their prey, who has never known what its like to be hunted before.

Anxiety Plays

Not sure if you remember, but if no one "passes down" one of the 9's powers, the "paths" that was mentioned before will transfer the titan power to an unborn child. So, I love your theory but the "it ends with us" move would not work :/

Miki

please watch 4 in a row the anticipation is killing me

Luii
>>147005880

Only episodes that 3 parts were released in succession for has been 3x13-15 and 3x16-18 in July. (I believe due to high demand by viewers.)

Shhii

Run me my refund l want my refund

Marco Gutierrez
>>146989744

That's one of my top moments in the series too. I love just yelling at Porco that he and his people get what they freaking deserve. They forced an entire group of people to survive by killing titans, and then they have the audacity to be surprised that they became good at it? No sympathy for Marley.

Marco Gutierrez
>>146992291

It's really not that big of a deal. When we saw these, we got them one at a time and we still managed to enjoy them just fine. "To be continued" just makes it more enjoyable when you actually do get to watch the next episodes. Binging has really ruined our ability to wait and be patient for things.

Marco Gutierrez
>>147019423

It's such a satisfying feeling seeing them have to deal with just a fraction of the horror that they forced on the Paradisans and Eldians at large with their racist BS.

Marco Gutierrez

Man you guys are absolutely not ready for what you're going to witness next episode lol. I too love the ending of this one. Even as he's terrified for his life at the knowledge that these mere humans aren't scared of him, Porco *still* keeps insulting them and calling them devils. I got no sympathy for that racist BS, they created their own devils.

Rainy Days

Marley attacked Paradis first with a covert operation with the infiltration crew, and the rest of the world declared war first! #erendidnothingwrong

JJ

I’m not mad at Eren at all ngl. He stood on business.

romaiiiii

OH MAN! Next week can't get here sooner haha 😁 I love the theory crafting! Good stuff and see you all next week!

Green Nolan

You wanted some action?... Wish granted 😁

Preston sill

This season is gonna hit em like a tube sock full of rocks

B23

that's why we suggest 3 episodes sometimes 😆 great reaction guys and you won't believe it, but there's more hype coming wheeew

Eric
>>146986990

I wasn’t “insinuating” lol just matter of fact. They are exited by Eren’s violence, and they are not questioning really that much. It seems to me that they are assuming that the protagonist is automatically the one to root for, I guess. And since this is a first time reaction in front of the camera and on top of it the first anime they have seen I feel like that many nuances are a little lost in favor of the us vs them habit.

Chuck Norris

One of my favorite details is Mikasa and Levi are the only ones still with swords because they are the only 2 that can hang with the nine in close combat

Chalupasaurus Rex

Remember that if any of the nine titans die without passing on the power, the power is inherited by the next newborn Eldian.

MJK

Love how Maison Quinn literally chokes when he sees Mikasa👹

MJK
>>146986990

I get your point but you are also overthinking this a bit. For a first time watchers, it is very normal to react with more excitement to scouts, who they were watching for the first 3 seasons and grew to love. Plus they commented on horrible reality of war during the review. After You watch show few times the reaction is different.

Renteezy

After rewatching this for like 3 times you can see at 21:03, The GOAT was actually waiting for it. And still uses the OG gear. #Badass

OBBlade
>>147058866

By a random eldian born after the death, not necessarily the next born

Conor Moriarty
>>147050828

its definitely a lose lose. Ig if eren hadnt sent letters to the scouts, they wouldn't have known marley was going to attack them

Rex Tan
>>147058866

Just to piggyback on your post, its also a risk losing a titan via natural death since the baby eldian with the power could be located inside the walls/ inside liberio internment / other countries with sparse eldian population.

Rex Tan
>>147019423

Marleyans : sends titans to eat eldians inside Paradis Also Marleyans : why arent they afraid of titans no shit sherlock XD

Katie Madsen

OMG the reaction to this was so good!!!! The screaming when Levi came on screen made me weirdly emotional xD I am SOOOO excited for next week

Daanaa

So emotional seeing everyone come through all in one episode, first time watch I also got chills when I saw Levi and his squad come through and Mikasa coming in saving Eren just WOW WHAT AN AMAZING EPISODE TO SEE AGAIN! TATAKAE!

alleycat

hell yeah, caught up with all your AOT reactions, now for the agonizing wait with everyone else! love how hype you were to see levi, and i appreciate that he, out of all of them, kept the blades and survey corps cape. feels only right.

SakuraTeaAndWeed
>>147022348

Eren was a murderer before the show even started lmao. He was never innocent. But i still love him haha

Hyperaware

No ones ever innocent, especially in the world of AOT. But the innocence in my eyes is knowing the right and wrong and sticking with whats right. Now he doesnt really care, its just the path he chose and it can be bloody or peaceful, Eren would rather take everything by force the way it was done to him, continuing the cycle

Julio Salazar

The reaction you guys had at the to be continued. This is the energy AOT gives. This episode really puts the question for people is it justified to retaliate on civilians. Let’s remember Eren is doing what he thinks is justified. But is an eye for eye really the way? We’re getting into moral/ethical questions, rules of war ect. Let’s also remember tho. Eren is like 19-20 at this point too. He’s a really young guy who has only ever known war. Is he mentally capable of understanding any other path. It’s all he knows.

Akiyama Itsuharu

I literally subscribed your patreon just for this scene! I can't wait for the youtube version XD i'll be with you guys until the final episode

XXI
>>147023670

literally everyone's favorite. Levi got that charisma rizz

Cinthya Arias

The ending hahahahahaha I love it

Christine L.
>>147049768

I mean, it's what was taught to him since he was born. Plus, he never had an interaction with the people from Paradis Island unlike Reiner so he wouldn't know what they're truly like.

Marco Gutierrez
>>147049768

While thats true, Reiner seems to have briefed them and informed them on what he learned on his mission, and Zeke could corroborate. They had the knowledge that these humans literally went head to head with Titans on the regular. I always saw this as him just being so arrogant as to think that none of that applied to him and he was somehow special. Like "of course Reiner is going to get bodied by humans, I hate him so therefor he sucks".

Sasha B

I love seeing you guys so excited :) awesome ep
