Such a powerful film with such important discussions! Thank you for continuing to be such empaths and discuss these things openly but also with such sensitivity. You guys are the best!

Read this book in one afternoon in middle school and have been obsessed with it ever since. One of the best book to movie adaptations in my opinion. So powerful and beautiful.

I finally got to see your reaction, guys! Since I don’t have any platform here to watch the complete movie with you, I just went along because I’ve seen it several times, and it always tugs at my heartstrings—especially because I can relate so much to how Charlie felt in high school, though I never found my true friends there, haha (of course, I didn’t go through what the character did). There’s so much to talk about when it comes to these topics, but I’d rather just recommend another movie that tackles different issues yet gives me a similar feeling to this one. It’s the anime movie that many people have already recommended, "A Silent Voice". If you liked this movie, you’re going to feel the same impact with this one. I hope you get a chance to watch it soon!

“I have a feeling this movie will hit us a lot different than in 2012 when this came out” kind of confused me. Because you’re parents now? Is that why?

So happy the YouTube folks will be able to enjoy this soon 🩷

So glad y’all watched this one! I cannot understate how much this book and movie meant to me as a shy high school kid in high school in 2012-2013. Still love the soundtrack!

I think maturity level too (respectfully). Seeing this movie again now as I've gotten older and had life experiences, it hits differently. As people grow and learn, how they see and experience art changes.

Don't make yourself small. If you are too much for someone, let them find less in someone else don't become less yourself. You will find someone or people that are at your same level.
