Esmi

I don’t think I’ve ever clicked on a video fast enough. 😅

Bluhawke

This is a show I've had little interest in watching because it seemed way overhyped, so I'm gonna give it a shot with you guys 😂

Sophie So

Very excited for this watch along!

David Wong

One of the best shows in recent years IMO. Thursday is my new favorite day of the week now. Can't wait to watch your reactions each week!

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

To answer your questions/confusions - the "Lumon" building and water tower is in New Jersey (former Bell Labs headquarters). The exterior scenes where Mark lives are filmed in Nyack, New York. You guys looked confused when Petey said "Hi kids, what's for dinner?" to Mark at Pip's. I think you were talking over the scene when Irving (John Turturro) said "Hi kids, what's for dinner?" as he entered the Macrodata Refinement (MDR) office and greeted the gang -- so it's a joke from MDR. Petey recalls it because of his "bypass"; Mark can't. For Diamond Dave - the course Mark S takes after he exits the elevator and walks to MDR is *not* left/right/left/right, which is part of what makes it unsettling. Watch it again. As for whether the slow burn turned me off of the show -- I was riveted from the jump and couldn't wait for the next episode.

taylor

next Thursday is gonna suck! I'm savoring every minute of today!

SeaShel

Been with you guys for years, but have never been this excited for a reaction until now! Best show since Lost. Absolute top tier! Writing is AMAZING, directing AMAZING, every single actor is the best I've seen in years. Cinematography is always clever and beautifully done. Man can't wait to watch you guys fall in love with Severance!

Alexce

Ftw for me too hope this is good! Also the Dead City trailer came out today yall should check it out Ik yall love your Negan!

Fetid Moppet

BEST show in years!!! So excited for you guys!

Steven W

FTW very interesting concept, ready to take this ride 🤙🏻

R

Since you were going through the producers in the credits: Amanda Overton, one of the producers listed, was also one of the lead writers/producers for Arcane (both seasons). She didn't stick around for s2 of this though.

Johnny Blue

Oh hell yeah amazing pick! I thought my feed was acting up because I thought the Normies were already caught up then looked up which creator I was viewing. lol

sarina

Watching this with you guys for the first time! Excited to discover the twists with y’all :)

Amanda Winner

I started slowing down around ep3-5 but it picked up for me afterwards

Yeah...i don't think I'm the target audience for this, lol. It feels like a "mystery for mystery's sake" meets "human psyche porn" kinda show like Black Mirror or Westworld, which I find to be pretentious and full of plotholes. Nothing in this first episode grabbed me, aside from the cinematography. So I think I'm gonna sit this one out. Y'all enjoy.

Dana Sow

Not going to lie the first time I watched this episode, I couldn’t get into it. It was too much of a slow burn and I just completely checked out. But watching it with you guys, got me completely hooked. There were a lot of things I missed during my first watch. Excited to watch the rest of the season with yall.

Bri

I just realized y'all dropped two episodes! I only saw one email and thought I'd watch along after I finished the s2 finale but I was too shook lol. I knew y'all were gonna start this, but I kept hearing about it, and I figured it'd be hard for me to wait each week for a new episode lol. I got a 7 day free trial of Apple tv this week and just binged it lol. I was actually caught up 2 days before the finale dropped. Clearly I'll have to commit to Apple for this and Ted Lasso, lol, but I'm really excited for y'all to see it!

That's true! I'll keep that in mind as we go along

Kalkent

If you guys are expecting answers solved every episode then you're going to be disappointed and not enjoy the show. Each mystery is delicately peeled off and even then the meaning behind it is not fully revealed. So I would suggest to just sit back and let the confusion take over and the speculation run wild.

Bailey Anderson

I always love seeing people’s first reaction to Severance. This was the first show that left me completely stumped and engaged since LOST. Fingers crossed for a better run and ending for Severance.

Steph

Yep, Mason Quinn, I had to come back to this a good year or so later and it quickly became one of my my favorite show the second time around.

I 100 understand, i thought the same too but season 2 has really come in clutch for me haha

Lanee

all i’m gonna say is one of these guys are onto something

Aria Isara

Another show I'm started with you guys. Intriguing first episode. Nice cast. I need to google to main actor though because I don't remember where I know him from.

Ginger

I had a client tell me they really like this show, so I thought I would check it out with you guys. This episode felt very depressing, but intriguing.
