I really believe that this is the one Disney movie that desreves a live action adaptation. But Diseny would never dare to do it now, yet it could really have the potential to even make it to the Oscars. Also Rachel Zegler could have been the perfect Esmeralda.

Jim Cummings is a national treasure. One of the longest voice acting resumes I have ever seen on IMDb lol

Hello. I've watched a lot of your animatend reactions. And I just remembered a really fun movie you should check out. It's called The Croods. An Animated (forgoten) one from Dreamworks 2013. The movie's may not quiet as deep as this one (it has its takes) but is very funny.

Please watch Anastasia! 🥹🙏🏻

I think this is a masterpiece. I wish disney took risks like this, the highs are spectacular when they push the bounds of animation and storytelling.

I can’t believe Disney thought it was okay to take Victor Hugo’s classic novel, a tragic story, and make it an animated children’s musical, with a happy ending. So many children have now grown up with a completely mistaken belief they now know the story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Classic works should be respected, not misrepresented to children. There are plenty of stories suitable for adapting to animated movies for children. This wasn’t one of them. There was no happy ending to this classic tale.

Disney always takes source material and makes it suitable for children. Example - the little mermaid, sleeping beauty, and Snow White

i LOVE this movie, and if you any get the chance please please please listen to the broadway stage musical. it takes these same songs and adds some others and the music is just as good if not better than this movie. and the stage production is more accurate to the original story/book. Quasimodo kills frollo, esmeralda dies in quasi’s arms and he dies holding her body in his and never moving. it’s a very powerful and moving story. But this movie is definitely one of the best disney movies and feels very underrated to me at least and i just don’t know why. i mean hellfire is one of the best villain songs ever

While the stage production of Hunchback never made it to Broadway it did have a successful run in Germany. Seen by over a million people during over 1000+ performances. Rumor has it there is something to do with the licensing of the show that requires a full choir, which is very costly. But! The West end is staging a production of it in August this year! It will be in concert form. Which will help present the grandness of the music with a full choir. My only hope for it is that they get Patrick Page back to play Frollo, because that man singing “Hellfire” melts my brain and just makes even hair stand on end.

Now THIS is unexpected. This was (and maybe remains) my favorite classic Disney movie as a kid. The gargoyles aside, it's so good and shows what Disney could've done if it had taken its audiences more seriously more often.

I haven’t seen this movie in forever and forgot most of it. So it was nice to rewatch it. Frollo and Quasimodo in some ways reminded me of Javier and Jean Val Jean from Les Miserables, which also took place in France. Although Javier was not a creep.
