Jun tae and his friends are otakus or weebs. Haha

No country is perfect. We have bullying and Americans have other issues like school shooting, which rarely ever happens in Asia. I think showing bullying in dramas helps raise awareness about its impact and builds a stronger stigma against bullies.

12:05 — “What is he doing?” — Sieun is trying not to repeat his mistake from season 1 (in particular — not to use physical violence, because it led to his friend ending up in a coma!). 21:49 — “Oh, this episode is getting good, boys.” — This show doesn’t have bad episodes, Oak!

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

32:12 — “Why are you talking about how you didn’t do it?” — Because Sieun isn’t the kind of person who would explain himself to a stranger! Your confused faces at Baku’s appearance were priceless! You definitely didn’t get any of the references 🙈😅

the slam dunk references WOW! i didn't expect that at all LMAO

Yeah, Weak Hero is a great series and it got even better when some levity (in the introduction of legendary Baku) kicked in. There's depth in the drama when it mixed with a comedic bits because that way it closer to real life which is full of different vibes. Great 180 turn in the story, for sure. And Oak's intuition is spot on about the actor playing Ko Hyeon Tak: he, in fact, helds a Junior Black Belt in Taekwondo and also was trained in Judo and Boxing since 2014. Remember his name as Lee Min-jae is cast in All of Us Are Dead Season 2! I liked him and think that he definitely a prominent actor and has a great potential for his career.

The accent is not in the U! It's more on the "ba" not in "ku". BAH-ku. Baku's introduction and in general s2's humor took me by surprise, but it was so good. The guy who plays Hyoman has been fantastic in every single thing I've seen him in, he especially KILLS it in Crash Landing on You, he's so funny. Slam Dunk is a super super popular manga and anime, it's one of my favorite sports animanga. Sakuragi is the lead in it.

I mean it doesn’t take much for high school boys to fight each other lol it could be as simple as “hey so and so is talking shit about u” and usually it starts from there lol

Aria Isara

It doesn't matter much and I think others may have mentioned it before (?) but just FYI Si Eun is not said like "see youn" but basically like "she-an", like the article "an" in "an apple". The vowel "eu" has no proper equivalent in English but it's adjacent to the English schwa sound (the vowel sound in "an"). If you type it in google translate you can hear the pronunciation 😊 (select english-korean, type Si Eun in the English section, it will transcribe it in Korean script then click on the speaker icon)

I dont understand Diamond Dave and Oak’s opinion on Sieun NOW.. guys Sieun’s fighting skills aren’t any different than they were in season 1. He always used a weapon in fights , whether it be a pen or anything around him. A book , a potted plant , paint cans… Nothings changed. 🤷‍♀️ If you think about it Baku hitting Hyo-man in his head with the basketball as hard as he did could’ve literally ended badly or fatally and yall laughed at that.. lol c’mon now let’s not change up on Sieun

I’ve watched class 2 only once when it came out so this is great to rewatch since on first watch I thought it was good but felt like something was missing for me. I loved class 1, watched it 10x easily a 10/10 season, I’m excited to see class 2 with yall and see if my score for it raises 🙏

Lauren

“What we have here is a failure to communicate.” Lol. Baku’s introduction was amazing. It took me a while to warm up to them the first time, but I grew to love the new crew.

Tyler Guy

Nah Gotak is that dumb which is why the plan worked lmao Sieun is honestly the only smart person in that school

Marsdars334

The actor who plays Gotak Lee Min-jae does have a martial arts background, beginning training in Taekwondo at age five. He has also trained in Hapkido, Judo, and Boxing, holding a junior black belt in Taekwondo.

Oak is always so in disbelief about how schools and hierarchies are in SK I really kinda need the guys to react to Sky Castle...the inside look to basically these bullies, teachers, their privileges and how come some of them are so messed up or ignore what's going on. How it starts with the parents and how it eats some of the kids alive. Some of the scenes with the parents I can imagine the guys' jaws just dropping!! IK their schedule is prob really busy and stacked already but Sky Castle is a good look into how crazy SK can get and how deeply important reputation/outward appearances are in Korea

Sora

Hi, since you're wondering why Si-eun puts up with so little and lets everything happen. The reason is simple, and yet not. Guilt. He feels guilty and is traumatized. He has no strength because he is constantly exhausted and depressed. On the one hand, it is self-punishing behavior when he doesn't defend himself; on the other hand, he doesn't want to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Tyler Guy

I forgot to mention this is based off a Korean manhwa which starts off in Class 2 so I wouldn’t look at Class 1 as a first season but more of a prequel this is more like a live action anime

Diablos Cafe

Definitely don’t expect the show to be like the Baku’s entrance, literally nothing in the show is like that they just went all out with his introduction because he’s a favorite in the fandom. The rest of the show is like everything you’ve watched

Beth Edwards

A little explanation about the names! Baku's name and Gotak's name are essentially nicknames! Baku's real name is Park (Bak) Hu-min (last, first) or Humin Park (first, last) and his nickname is a contraction of his last name (Park, or non-romanized "Bak") and the first syllable of his first name (Hu) so its Bak-hu technically, or Baku! And Gotak is Go Hyun-tak (last, first) or HyunTak Go (first last) his nickname is a contraction of his last name "Go" and the last syllable of his first name "Tak". So it's Go-tak🩷 this is to avoid any confusion in the future, because when they start talking about Park Humin, they never mention the fact that Baku is just a nickname, so most people don't know who the hell they're talking about lol (this is, in fact, not a spoiler because it's literally their names)

EPISODE 3 IS VERY INTERESTING!!! i do think this season is different than the first one but thats bc we have new characters that are very unique, you'll see and you'll love 🩵🩵🩵

About the pen, the thing is Sieun isn’t a good fighter. He is weak, especially compared to other people who are more skilled and bigger than him. So when Sieun fights, he fights with desperation. He’s always going to go for the “kill” if it’s going to end the fight sooner because he’s aware he is not a good fighter. He’s smart, sneaky and desperate. Baku is a character and his entrance is perfect for the type of personality he has. Last thing, we know Sieun was depressed in the first season before Suho…and others. In season two, he’s even worse because it’s accompanied with a large amount of guilt. It’s why he reacted the way he did when Gotak called him a hypocrite

Andrew

The poster doesn't seem to be that of Your Name, but there was an actual anime reference when one of the weebs mentioned the "nichirin sword". It's from Demon Slayer which y'all are watching right now. Hope you see this comment and get the reference on screen :).
