val

Well this is an awesome surprise, perfect for spooky season! Thanks so much guys🖤🎃

thefatfurret

Didn’t even realize this was out already. I’ve only seen the movies but this seems kinda redundant? Idk if this was in the books but I’m excited to check it out

Jan T

Oh wow! How fantastic. Great surprise, thank you! 🙏🏻🎉😊

Tyah Reacts

Ready, willing and able to watch this before I go to sleep 🫡😂🍿

Michelle

Unexpected and delightful.

Isaiah

yessss, first episode had me hooked instantly!

Badd Medicine

We are curious to what y'all thought about this first episode.

Bryan

LETS GOOOOO 🔥🔥

thefatfurret

Was this a book as well? I was only aware of IT

Violet

I'll DEFINITELY watch this once I've watched the episode solo!!

Curtis Rice

Love watching your reactions first thing in morning.

dreams⁷

Oh wow what a surprise!! I'm super excited to check this out with you guys!!🎃🎃

Stephen Hert

No. But this does have Stephen Kings stamp of approval. So that’s a plus.

Stephen Hert

I believe it’s just expanding on the lore. And delving into some stuff that they couldn’t fit into the movies from the book. I’ll have to watch it myself to see if they did that, but it looks decent.

alee

was half asleep when i read the notif for this one and thought it was a Derry Girls drop 😅 was very confused when i saw the thumbnail

Mason Quinn: "What car did he get into?" As soon as I saw her pull out that box of liver, I would have been out the damn car window, and I'm not playing. That family was way to nice and normal; I would have instantly been like, "Nope, I'm good." 😂

ShaniaBADDIE4LIFE🤘🐶🐱✨

That birth in the beginning instantly brought my mind to 28 years later when the zombie woman was giving birth. Jesus Christ. 🫣😂

I'm Batman

This was a WILD first episode. Andy completely knocked IT out of the park with this one. Did this exceed my expectations? Absolutely! I thought after the Matty opening and we get introduced to the other kids that that would be our new "loser squad", but nope Andy completely threw that out of the window by killing them off, definitely wasn't expecting that. And I feel like this episode definitely has more shock factor than the 2 movies just by the birth scene alone (btw when we see her stomach moving that was practical and not CGI which I appreciate so much). And it was a nice touch for Andy to have a Flash comic (which he was the director of, the Ezra Miller Flash movie) and a Batman and Robin comic (which he is directing for James Gunn's DCU called Batman The Brave And The Bold) appear in this episode. But yeah great episode, can't wait for the 2nd episode.

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Wait... wha?? So first of all, I had no idea the guys were going to reac to this series, that's awesome. But I have been waiting all week long for the 27th, because that's when the show was supposed to release? Only, it's only just turned the 27th, and the guys have already reacted to it?

Dub

the release was the 26th

ThetaSigmaTheOriginal

Yeah it must have been. When I googled it, it came up as the 27th 🤷‍♂️

So Tired

Oh wow! I wasn't expecting this, but i'm beyond excited. 👏👏

Anthony Velasquez

Awesome nice surprise what a crazy episode bookended with that ending was not expecting half of the kids introduced in this episode to get ended right away also haven’t seen your reaction yet but I wonder if you guys caught the family that picked up Matty in the beginning was in the film at the end the kids were watching

Jan T

So, I think that was an entirely deliberate fake out by the show runners. I initially thought, when the kids were introduced, okay, this is the new “Losers club”. But then when they killed three of them at the end, I think that was the show runners telling us that this is not going to be just a rerun of the original story. So I’m intrigued as to what the main storyline of this show is going to be. Looking forward to finding out.

Jan T

Rubbish. Guesses are not spoilers. Go police your own comments, or consider yourself blocked. The guys asked for our thoughts on this episode. If you don’t want to know anything about the episode don’t read the comments before you watch it.

Anthony Velasquez

I would say this is more wild than what the movies showed but its hard to top that Georgie/It moment from the first film for me obviously with It chomping off Georgie arm but also the moment where he tries to crawl away and It outstretches his arms and pulls Georgie in the sewer that scene just set a tone for the movie of “Wow we really are going there” type of feel

Kay

We’re in it now. Im here for the ride intense 1st episode

So Tired

Remember, IT takes on whatever form the kids believe in and becomes stronger through that belief. When the boy shouted “Giant Mutant Baby,” IT transformed into a giant baby. The Losers Club ultimately defeated IT by letting go of their fear and making IT feel small.

Alycia Ortiz

I was skeptical going into this but I really ended up liking it and am excited to see where it goes. They totally pulled a Drew Barrymore in Scream on us and I respect it! Haha

jackey

this is the most ive said wtf in the span of an hour lol

Esther K

The look of constant disgust on Oak's face is real and just translates to, "I'm done. I don't need to go on this ride any further."

Diablos Cafe

I’m really suprised Oak didn’t catch on to the guys on the air base possibly being Russian spies given the time period.

jo

same 😭😭

Knightmare

I can't believe people were saying the CGI in Jurassic World was the most horrible thing in the world when there's stuff like this being released 😂 Can we please stop normalizing this horrible animation in TV shows as a "stylistic choice?" This and the Hyde in Wednesday just make me so mad when I look at them 🤣 Anyway, me and DD has the same reaction throughout the whole episode. I could NOT take this seriously until that epic ending scene. Then I was really locked in. I hate how they took the Jewish kid tho he was my favorite one 😭 NOTHING IS SACRED
