Peach pastel

Oh this makes me so happy. Dare I say season two is the best season. I don’t know there all sooo good

Peach pastel

Y’all get ready for episode six that shit is bananas B-A-N-A-N-A-S

DTGstl314

I don't know if you caught this or not, but right before Carmy goes to talk to Richie in the basement, the camera pans by a canning machine with a label maker set to KBL. So to answer your question about how Mikey got all of Jimmy's money into the cans of tomato sauce - he was doing it himself in the basement. Also, the picture of the chef on the wall between Paul Rudd's and Harold Ramis' pictures was Anthony Bourdain.

AllyBoo124

one of the beautiful things about tina’s growth for me is not only was she resistant to change, but i also think part of it was she was scared she wasn’t gonna be able to keep up or live up to all the change and greatness around her. and syd now offering her the sous position is like recognition of how hard she’s working, how far she’s come, and syd’s belief and vote of confidence that she herself can be great. she doesn’t only get to be a part of the new thing they’re creating but be a real integral player.

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

Keep in mind what you learned about KBL in this episode: K is for Jimmy (Kalinowski), B is for Berzatto (Carmy and his family), and L is for "Layne. Lee." When Carmy asks "Lee, who's Lee," Natalie says "Uncle Lee Layne" and Carmy says "*Not* our uncle." and Natalie says "Richie's not your cousin." So there's Family, and then there's family, and they're not always the same.

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

I'm glad the way they're watching it means they'll get episode 6 in one sitting, and episode 7 in the next. Spread the best shit out over two weeks.

Mr Hat n Clogs

Ima need more of that demon slayer action 😭😭😭😭

DTGstl314

Also worth noting that Uncle Jimmy is not actually their uncle, he's just an old family friend who was close with Carm and Nat's dad. "Uncle" and "cousin" are nicknames that get used a lot with the Berzatto family.

DTGstl314

Small continuity error I just picked up on... when Carmy's back in his apartment trying to figure out what to do with himself, the clock shows the time as 5:54pm. The problem is, it's late February in Chicago and it's still fully bright outside, which it definitely would not be at almost 6pm at that time of year.

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

Yes - that was my point - hence why I pointed out the three different last names for the men, and the difference between Family and family. Since none of the *male* last names are the same, that clarifies that Jimmy and Lee aren't actually uncles to the Berzattos by blood.

The actor who plays Richie played Micro in The Punisher on Netflix and helped get Bernthal for Mikey.

Carmy mentions his phone number earlier in the episode when he's on the phone with the fridge guy while Richie, Marcus, and Fak are making all kinds of noise outside his office. Go back and listen to that and then listen to the number he gives Claire at the end of the episode and that will answer your question about whether the phone number he gave was correct or not.

AllyBoo124

You guys are both right about the claire thing. He obviously likes her and cares a lot about her, but he also looks absolutely terrified to let himself get involved. She’s obviously someone that means a lot to him, but as y’all brought up he said you have to give your everything and as we’ve seen I think carmy has a little trouble compartmentalizing all the different aspects of his life

2026-09-18 14:00 I like that they keep captions on; they could see the numbers as well. I just have a feeling they were talking over it. As you guys discussed, Carmy gave Claire the wrong phone number. As Mason Quinn said, Carmy did say his number out loud (giving it to the fridge-handle guy over the phone). The audience is supposed to recognize that he gave the wrong last digit. I think you guys may have been talking over that scene - Carmy was on the phone while things in the restaurant was really loud and he was shouting out his number: 773-555-0901. The number he gave Claire was 773-555-0902.

Medical residents typically work 60-80 hours per week (and not for very great money)... Claire definitely understands what it's like to have a very high stress job.

DTGstl314

Claire alludes to how long she and Carm have known each other when she refers to their mutual childhood acquaintance who broke her arm when they were six years old. They've known each other since childhood and grew up together.

ct

Oh definitely. That created even more of a reason to why the guys thought the relationship wouldn’t work despite them alr being in similar environments. Carmy and Claire are both so busy, it would be hard for both to commit to one another. The idea also really aligns with the comment Carmy made earlier to Sydney; “You're gonna have to care about everything more than anything”, Carmy likely believes that he either 1. Won’t commit to the relationship bc of his focus on the restaurant, or 2. That he’s too much in a fucked up place to try. To Carmy there’s this idea that it’s doomed to fail.

fatoumata cisse

I’m SO excited for them to react to the Fishes episode. The stress levels in that episode is crazy!

Ron Fatica

Yes! Fishes and Forks! (Forks such an ironic name for the ep following Fishes)

Jeff K.

It's so hilarious listening to Mason and Oak arguing about the Carmy/Claire interaction knowing that one of them is 100% right and one is 100% wrong and I look forward to them getting to the point where they realize which one is which.

Jeff K.

I never picked up on that. And knowing who Lee is, that makes it even more interesting.

Jeff K.

Forks is, hands down, my favorite episode of the entire series (followed by Honeydew; Fishes is probaly third on my list because I recognize how good it is, but I just love the vibes of the other two more).

Matthew Glover

Idk if its been said in the comments, but the picture of the guy on the wall Dave couldnt place the name of,is "Anthony Bourdaine". World famous chef and had his long running tv show. He passed away a handful of years ago

Colleen Scott

It never gets old that you refer to Jimmy as Jimmy King! Ready to Rumble is so much fun! I love Oliver Platt! I graduated high school in 91, so I had a big crush on him during his 90s movies. His funniest role by far was The Three Musketeers. It’s on your recommendation list. I don’t know if you’ll get around to it, but if you love him as Jimmy King, you will absolutely love it! Ok, he’s not a wrestler in it, but the fights are just as fun! Promise!

AttractivePigeon

oh god yes, they think they've seen stress in this show... lol

Cristy

I love the Three Musketeers, Oliver Platt steals the show for sure. Would love a reaction so much.

ShaniaBADDIE4LIFE🤘🐶🐱✨

I instantly knew Sugar was pregnant when she said in 2x1 she didn't want to eat the food because she wanted to throw up. i was like, "Really? Come on, it was so obvious." 😂

DTGstl314

We all know what's coming in a few weeks.

DTGstl314

Agreed. I'm not one of the people who hates S3 and/or S4, but I do think they're not quite as strong as S2. But they're still both quite good, IMHO.

Shanice British

I love Oak. He’s always spot on. What a smart man ☺️ Great reactions. Can’t wait for the next one

Mo

Love love that scene with Sydney and her dad 🥺

Cristy

I am so here for Tina the sous chef and Natalie the project manager. It's also great to see more of Ebra for a change.

ct

Same! He’s my favorite character of the series so far alongside Tina, Fak, & Ebra. The introspection given to his character throughout the narrative progression, inner turmoil, and humor make me love him. He’s like an onion with all the layers 😂 Funny thing is that I absolutely couldn’t stand him at first (which I’m sure was intentional by the show), but I did indeed end up coming around! Definitely an MVP! ❤️‍🔥

ZuZu

I hated Tina during the first part of season one, it's wild that she's grown on me so much that by season two I'm so invested in her happiness and success.

Michelle

Everything I want to say here seems like it might be a vague spoiler which I want to avoid, but I agree about the vibes on Forks and Honeydew being so great. I love watching an episode with a smile on my face.

ShaniaBADDIE4LIFE🤘🐶🐱✨

I loved him as soon as i saw him, just this extremely entertaining character who is a lot but loyal and a funny and caring guy in his Italian-Chicago accent, but as we know, he's not Italian. 😂

DTGstl314

Richie's ethnic background is Polish, which is extremely common in Chicago. Jimmy is also Polish, which makes me think he's not actually a literal mobster, just a very connected businessman who knows the right people.

Drew

Go back to when fak and Richie are fighting you’ll hear carm give his number when he’s on that call and the one he gave to Claire was well…….. we’ll see next week

Jake Kez

This is the best season fellas, strap in!

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

I so appreciate people who recognize that even a vague spoiler is a spoiler and that there's no reason to post it when you could simply say something else - your comment puts it beautifully for those who have seen the show without spoiling it for those who haven't.

city boyyyyyy

I really love the Claire and Carmy chemistry, sooooo goooddddd

Ryan Towell

Wait... Oak never saw The Punisher series? The guy that plays Ritchie is the second leading star next to Bernthal.

Jane Avery

I'm rewatching the reactions - notice that in 202 Richie offers to get Nat a Sprite, the same thing he got his ex-wife in 206 when she is pregnant and feeling sick - he must have started suspecting Nat is pregnant here!
