Off topic: Just watched the first two episodes of Pluribus yesterday… holy shit, it’s amazing and so refreshing! You guys would love this show, trust me! Go in completely blind if you can. Do yourself a favor and watch/react to it ;) Vince never misses🫡

Andrew

The CGI was fine last episode. I don't know what happened here. Even so, the story is really solid and I'm still intrigued.

Anthony Velasquez

I love how they wasted no time to tie up some stories in this episode no need to drag it out and now it makes so much why Shaw is very interested in weaponizing It

Anthony Velasquez

Yes MQ in both the original It and latest It movies in Chapter 2 the loser’s club forgot outside of Mike who stayed in Derry

Diablos Cafe

Yeah the CGI was bad this episode, I hope the rest isn’t that bad

So Tired

1/3 1:12:17 It wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for Pennywise to have influence over the photos, so it is possible. Remember, Pennywise is an ancient cosmic entity whose true form is the Deadlights, and it is capable of manipulating people’s minds, making them see things IT wants them to see. When Pennywise knows someone’s fear, it can use that fear to create realistic illusions, shapeshift into their worst nightmares, and psychologically manipulate them to disorient and terrify them before attacking. Also, when it comes to the adults in Derry, for example how the adults ignored the kids bullying that boy back in Episode 2, they didn’t react or pay attention because Pennywise has a psychic hold over the town’s residents, making them oblivious to the dangers children face and even having parents treating them terribly, like we saw in the IT movies.

So Tired

2/3 Just to let you know, Pennywise can physically kill anyone it wants, even if they are fearless. The need for fear is about food quality and power, not a strict limitation on its physical abilities. Fear is a Seasoning, Pennywise explicitly states in the novel that frightening children first is like "salting the meat". The chemical changes in the body due to the release of adrenaline and other stress hormones during extreme terror enhance the flavor and nutritional value of its prey, or at least that is It's perception. So Pennywise primarily feeds on the psychic energy of fear, not just the physical body. While it does consume the bodies, the fear is its main sustenance, allowing it to hibernate for 27 years between feeding cycles. A quick, painless death would provide less energy. Much like a cat toying with a mouse, Pennywise likes to do the same from the psychological torture of its victims before the final kill.

So Tired

3/3 Lastly, if you want an explanation for why the Losers' Club managed to beat Pennywise here, it's because they weren’t just relying on courage or friendship alone. The reason the Losers' Club can fight back effectively, even while afraid, is due to the Shining, a psychic ability many of them possess. This is the same ability Beverly experienced in the movies when she saw a vision of the Losers' Club returning to Derry as adults after being exposed to the Deadlights. The Shining allows them to actually cause physical harm to Pennywise’s physical form. So it wasn’t simply “the power of friendship.” Even with their bond, they still needed the Shining to survive and defeat Pennywise. This is the same psychic ability Dick Hallorann and Leroy Hanlon has.

Yep Rose nephew is the same actor from the long walk looked it up yesterday

I too am pretty sure we have our core cast, but I love that thanks to that first episode we can't be completely sure! I was worried for those kids. The Bradley Gang is a reference to the real-life Brady Gang, who were shot up in Bangor, Maine (the inspiration for Derry) in 1937. There are a lot of similarities between real Bangor and fictional Derry. Check 'em out sometime for fun.

This show cracks me up 😂 the effects remind me so much of the Goosebumps show and movie

ShaniaBADDIE4LIFE🤘🐶🐱✨

i was about to say i know I'm not tripping. 😂 that scene with them leaving the graveyard riding their bikes, I was like, "What's going on?"

Anthony Gonz

After this show ends, you guys could react to The Shining and Dr. Sleep! Specially Dr. Sleep, because it's directed by one of your favs: Mike Flanagan

Ryan Holmes

The story is pretty good in this show but that CGI during the graveyard scene was ROUGH!

Bryan

genuinely convinced Pennywise was confused as to how Hallorann was at the place he was at, definitely unexpected 😂🤣 overall.. this show is getting good

Esther K

Remember .... Will can't die because he's Mike Hanlon's dad (from IT 2017).
