Man I love this show. I've watched it probably 3-4 times all the way through. Everyone is perfect. A game stuff consistently. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. The actors, the directors, the writers, the set designers, whoever picks the soundtrack everyone..

You guys can look up some of the recipes on YouTube! A lot of people made videos recreating the dishes (the omelette was super popular).

there were no left over orders, sydney was hallucinating the machine printing out more that's why there's only the sound but no actual printed orders. it was to show that even the most grounded character is starting to lose it from the pressure and from being in a hectic environment, syd at the end showing a smile then it almost turning into a cry always breaks me, she loves this job so much but she had no one to back her up this season

Cristy

"For the guy." I teared up at that and also Syd's added "let it rip." I made the omelette after watching this and even though it looked nothing like Syd's it was delicious flavour wise. Also, if that AC/DC song doesn't get you pumped up for the opening I don't know what does (coincidentally I'm seeing them in concert on the weekend so it's a good warm up).

The moment Pearl Jam kicks in during service is such a vibe. Richie for the win! I remember being so sad about how everything turned out but it had also been building to this all season. Also, I liked Pete before this episode but I loved him after it.

this show is soooo good but it causes me so much secondhand stress lmao, like it feels like im there in the midst of chaos and ive never been good with chaos but i love the cast flaws and all so theyre doing an amazing job, im just stressed ughhhh

Pete fuckin CRUSHED it in episode 10

DTGstl314

The Cubs actually gave Steve Bartman an official 2016 World Series ring as a sign that the hatchet had been buried. And not a cheap replica, either - the official rings they gave the players and staff were reportedly worth $70,000 each.

DTGstl314

Jimmy is genuinely happy for Carm having a relationship with Claire (Jimmy knows Claire, since all of these people have known each other forever), because he knows Carm struggles with accepting good things into his life. But he also knows that a new relationship can be distracting.

SushiBoy

another thing to note is Richie telling Carm he loves him during their yelling match. Which he admitted to Claire but told her not to tell him.

DTGstl314

With regard to Richie's surprise for Unc, keep in mind, Jimmy told the story of the chocolate banana and his dad five years before this episode in the show's chronology, and Richie remembered it all this time.

Can't wait for you guys to get into S3. The first episode is probably the most unique episode in the entire series in terms of how it was written and shot. I think it was a little polarizing at the time because it almost feels like it's from a completely different show, but I personally loved it. But it's definitely very, very different from everything we've seen so far.

I don't know if Pete actually told Sugar that he saw Donna outside, because she (Nat) seems very confused about why he's so emotional when she sees him after he comes back in, and his initial response seems like he was deflecting rather than telling her exactly what happened outside. Donna did ask him not to say anything about her being there, and I think he felt obligated to honor her request. I also think he didn't want to upset Natalie, so he just kept it to himself.

AllyBoo124

Carmy and Richie’s screaming match just gives all the feels. Because when Richie starts it by calling carm donna I knew all bets were off, I was like no way he just called him his mom and then Carmy obviously starts seeing red and takes it to hell. He didn’t know claire could hear him, he’s stuck in the fridge because if his own mistake, and now Richie is shitting in him. And even in the last episode we see him having a panic attack and trying to think of claire doesn’t calm him down, everyone in his life loves claire and they all keep telling him not to fuck it up and he already doesn’t feel like he deserves her so the pressure gets worse and we already know that Carmy doesn’t handle all of that well. Episodes 6-10 of this season are pure gold

AllyBoo124

I love Pete and nat’s relationship. And I feel so much for Natalie. She’s always the one trying to take care of their mom, she’s the one always extending the olive branch to their mom, and donna keeps letting her down. And we have Donna admit that she knows she’s been hurting them growing up but she doesn’t know how to not. But for Natalie it’s just like we see the emotional abuse she went through probably growing up with her mom and Pete knows it would probably devastate their relationship to have donna not show up for her again so he tries to protect his wife’s heart and he’s just so good.

Rico

Pete is just too good for this series. Everyone’s troubled by trauma and doubt. Pete is the one character that is just kind and wants to be nice

When I rewatched S2 I realized that the entire season is indeed building up to Carmy's crumbling down at the end. He talked about not knowing what it means to have fun/enjoyment during the group session on the 1st eps, and now we have him saying that he doesn't deserved one. Him giving the wrong number to Claire was the 1st sign and it's basically the one truth. He's just not ready. Not only he struggled mentally, but his body literally responded negatively to any enjoyment/good things. The way he had a panic attack in this eps while thinking about his relationship with Claire (and he calmed down thinking about Syd which I think represents cooking which is the only thing he knows best all his life). I totally get Carmy's fear, he never really experienced a healthy relationship, and running away/self sabotaging seems like the 'reasonable' option.

Jeff K.

I love Pete so damn much. He's such a pure soul.

Cristy

Yes and then Oak covering his face. Those two were feeling it.

Mason Quinn: "That kitchen seems too small." WHAT? Really? That's the problem. 🤨😂 Mason Quinn—man, you either love him or hate him. 😂

Funny story about the meth guy. So ive been working in the food industry for the past 10 years. And about 5 or so years ago there was a dishwasher working for us who was known to be a meth addict. He even was seen passing out while eating, landing his face into his food. Guy was in his 50's i want to say. One night he was caught carving into the prime beef log that was going to be served for the guests, dude whipped out his own pocket knife and just started cutting out pieces for himself lmao He had the nerve to say, "i thought it was for the workers". He got yelled at so damn badly and cursed out by the head chef, then obviously fired. Chef was ready to beat his ass lol Those type of people are actually pretty common in some places.

Lauren

I never thought Richie would become my favorite character, but here we are.

Julie

lol 1 out of 3 people will feel the tension and romantic connection displayed in the table scene. Maybe we're all just similar people and this is love to us. Being vunerable, talking, understanding and slowly growing affection. Idk man it does it for me, I love a good slowburn. But this, unfortunately, might not be one and they're missing huge potential here.

i just always think how interesting it was that carmy had flashes of everything that was stressing him out and then they cut to syd and he’s calming down … like are we gonna ignore that (ep 9)

Tatyana M

No, Diamond Dave, you aren't looking too much into that. Many viewers (including you all) are always praising the writers/production team for their intentionality (and how well it lands), but some suddenly downplay the very intentional scenes between Carmy and Syd in episode 9 (like using songs with lyrics about love and longing when they could just use instrumentals). Even if they later decided to pull back, the writers/production team very intentionally planted the seed that Syd and Carmy have feelings for each other. I didn't ship Syd and Carmy, but the scene under the table opened my mind to it. It wasn't even the panic attack scene, initially, which should have, considering it has the backwards-playing LOVE song flip to regular playback when Carmy starts thinking of Syd which calms his panic attack. Some people claimed it was thinking of the restaurant, but notice Claire's scenes are mixed with his family, but Sydney's scenes don't include any other restaurant staff. Not even the scene of Carmy eating the amazing Marcus floor-donut? I feel like people root so hard for Claire that they try to convince themselves and others that Syd and Carmy have zero romantic chemistry. Maybe so, but production was definitely shipping them in episode 9, lmao.
