Katie Madsen

Yay double drop!!! I am so excited to see what you end up checking out next, if you are planning on doing another Kdrama to fill the slot on Fridays

Rii7e

You should check out the behind the scenes! Si eun’s actor is a ball of sunshine in real life lmao and he’s a singer too!

Thank you for the reaction to another excellent Korean drama! It was awesome to rewatch Class 2 in your thoughtful and humorous company. Just a bit of clarification: Na Baek Jin was an orphan (same as Beom-seok, so the parallels between Shi-eun with Beom-seok and Baku with Baek Jin are obvious there), and the scene where Baku (as a kid) visited orphanage and was saying nice things about it to young Baek Jin was meant to showcase the kindness of Baku. As I understand, there is some stigma in South Korea around kids being orphans (it's not perceived greatly), so it was really important for Baek Jin when Baku instead of shaming him provided some moral support, paying no attention to his status as orphan kid. That's why Baek Jin despite reaching new status as boss of high school gang still had deep emotional attachment to Baku and was obsessed with not letting him go when Baku couldn't continue friendship due to Baek Jin using the fighting knowledge for bad stuff (and not for defence only). Baek Jin got under the wing of crime boss who used orphans in his dirty schemes (same as Gil-soo in the first season) as shields. Again, in some way visible parallel with Beom-seok who was used by his stepfather in political charade. So it's another tragic story about a young soul being wasted by the adults. Weak Hero just doesn't spell that too obvious, giving us only mininal hints about the background of Baek Jin's childhood. As for the destiny of the character: in the manhwa he actually dies the way Shi-eun was shown at the end of episode 6 - being hit by the car. But I suspect that Netflix wanted some ambiguity with it, deliberately not showing his death, so if Baek Jin became popular among viewers they could return him back into the season 3 (so conspiracy theory about Baek Jin faking his own death to avoid repercussions from crime boss maybe has some ground).

Ashley K

Excellent comment! You hit the nail on the head with the parallels and there being some stigma on orphans- and what Baku meant to Baek-jin because of it.

Ashley K

Thank you all for reacting to this great show. Love that you all enjoyed it! Absolutely cannot wait until Class 3 (their senior year)!

Bob

Kingdom on netflix is right up your guys alley next. Zombie korean show

Beth Edwards

I know that you guys don't typically do this, but I was wondering if maybe you'd watch the Behind The Scenes for class 1 and 2? They really are so informative on how much this cast had to do and what effect it had on them. Maybe something for the top tier or like a Christmas present post?

Lindsay

Please react to juvenile justice, it’s on Netflix. I think you guys would really like it

YSM

Twinkling Watermelon💖

ParkMinJeon

BLOODHOUNDS next 🩸 it’s only 8 eps 😭 it’s right up your alley guys

Katie Madsen

I really think they should do something more light hearted next, if they do another revenge show I think it will burn them out

Mark!

I support all the Twinkling Watermelon suggestions! Great to see Baku and Suho in different roles (and together)

keyt

Twinkling Watermelon next pls!! 🙏 We need a light drama. Baku and Suho in one drama hehe 😆

Ashley K

Hoping to see Bloodhounds or My Name in the December trailer! Both are right up your alley.

Matthew

You guys should watch My Name. Another KDrama.

Lauren

I just absolutely loved the ending scene where Si-eun’s friends accompanied him to the hospital to greet Su-Ho. The ending of Season 1 was sooo sad and had him so isolated, and to see him surrounded by friends warmed my heart. I’m really hoping for a Season 3!

Gail Ferguson

I've been wondering if that will be on Netflix soon? I have Kocowa on Prime, but it isn't there.

Tania R

It just arrived on Netflix for us here in Australia. Is it not available in the US? I know Viki will definitely have it.

melrr

Many suggested extraordinary attorney woo for something lighthearted and with comedy.

ParkMinJeon

Omg yes they would love Extraordinary Attorney Woo 😭

hex1c

I just wanna say thank you to the people that recommended you to react to this show and to you guys for reacting to it. I was a huge Japanese / Anime fan when it came to Asian stuff. Never watched anything else, now im totally sold on K-Dramas.

GajahMengaum the Bruce

A Shop for Killers. The Moving. The Witch 1 and 2. Mercy for None. I am sure 4 adult men will enjoy watching these masterpieces.

Shna Faruq

What u guys need to do is go upvote ur fav dramas on their website instead of suggesting them here

ParkMinJeon

I just checked and Extraordinary Attorney Woo isn’t even recommended on their website ! ): I’m gonna try to do it

ParkMinJeon

@baddmedd there’s a Kdrama that’s on your website but it’s not with the other Kdrama’s.. that means someone labeled it wrong cause it’s not in the Korean section, how can we fix that ?

ParkMinJeon

Actually there’s a couple

Shna Faruq

Yeah they watch according to that list

Sugieb

Hoping you guys watch bloodhounds or moving next!

patricia jimjimcherie

I hope the guys do Bloodhounds next, its also great, and bcs you enjoyed WH I think you'd enjoy it as well!

patricia jimjimcherie

Im with Diamond Dave on this one! I dont actually think the guys at the back were grinning, but grimacing. Also, the card the boss gave Seongje said the Gang's name "Cheongang", and the funeral flowers there said the same name. Baekjin wasn't fighting for the Union or whatever, Baekjin was fighting for his life. He knew if he lost here, he'd die, that's why he was giving it his all, and even then, he wanted Baku to beat him, he wanted Baku to rise up, that's why he was worried until Baku smiled. Baekjin still saw Baku as his best friend. Seeing Sunho at the end there always gives me so much relief, and then you're hit with the knowledge Baekjin died. I still love Baekjin as an antagonist, I think he's amazing. I was lowkey rooting for him in the fight, just because he's my favorite fighter.

patricia jimjimcherie

Also a lot of people miss it, but basically with the scene of Baekjin and Baku as kids at Baekjin's "house": it's an orphanage. Baekjin was an orphan, he was donating the money to the orphanage.

Jenn Matsuoka

I think you guys would find really interesting who the actors are in real life. Sieun's actor is well know in South Korea not only because of his acting but also his idol life (he's a singer and actor). Seongje (glasses villain) is an idol too and he's such a good dancer. Baekjin's actor has been in a few musicals and he's done drag a couple of times, he's such a sunshine in real life (and funny).

Jenn Matsuoka

I would also love to see you guys react to bloodhounds. It will be nice to get you away from the Korean school setting for a while!

Badd Medicine

Definitely check out our December trailer we talked a few hours ago 😁🤙

Crispy

Damn thats really interesting

ParkMinJeon

Moving doesn’t have enough votes on their site ): it’s not even in the top 10. You gotta go vote for it. Voting matters on their site. My Name might be the next kdrama if something doesn’t pass it.

melrr

D.P. and attorney woo are not categorized in the korean genre. those ones are just not labeled at all. Either DD can edit himself or whoever made that recommendation has to edit themselves.

melrr

It's on the site just search attorney woo don't add the "extra" and it will pop up. It's currently at 110 upvotes which is a lot it could be the next one they watch if people vote for it as I think they are mainly basing the votes on what they watch next at least for the kdramas. There's no need to recommend it since it will be wasted.

ParkMinJeon

Oh wow. Attorney Woo would be the next KD after BloodHounds if it were in the right category :\

Mari

If you want to see Baku and Suho together, watch Twinkling Watermelon. Their chemistry is crazy.

dreams⁷

I don’t know if anyone mentioned this, but the director stated in an interview of Weak Hero 2 that he thinks Sieun and Suho were in love. And Park Jihoon (Sieun’s actor) said “For Sieun, Suho is kind of like a first love”. I think the drama definitely leaves room for interpretations and it’s open to the viewers if they want to see them as a romantic pairing or two friends with a deep platonic bond (even tho in some fans’ opinion, also my own, the signs of romantic relationship were there since season 1 lol) but then again yes it’s still up to the audience and it can’t be argued that Sieun and Suho have deep love and affection for each other with great chemistry. It was a lovely journey watching this again with you guys! let’s goooo Bloodhounds!!!

kumamon

I’m soooo late but , I wish you guys can do the behind the scenes its really short

Jess

GUYS PLEASE REACT TO TWINKLING WATERMELON THE ACTORS PLAYING SUHO AND BAKU ARE THE MAIN CHARACTERS THERE!!!

cait

i'm sure it makes more sense in the webtoon, but baek-jin's death in the drama feels so random. the su-ho reunion got me so hyped, then it all came crashing down with baek-jin's funeral. damn. s2 was a really good season though.
