Love this movie.

Ashton Rice

Holy motion sickness intro Batman!

LukeLemon

Yeah, it was a bit much for me too 🥲

Maisie

This was so much fun!! I can't even describe how nostalgic this movie is for me. I love movies, my sister hates them, and this was the only one we would both watch any time it was on and could both recite from memory.

krissy

The casting in this movie is so good! It really does make the film. Cheryl (Miss Rhode Island) has got to be my favorite character! I love how smart yet ditzy she is—and genuinely nice. I think it took me a few watches to catch that her major was nuclear fission. I could just about quote this entire film, but I’ve only seen the sequel once or twice. I don’t remember it being bad, I just didn’t own it on VHS lol. I’m excited to watch it again a decade or two later!

krissy

Heavy on the nostalgia and reciting it from memory! Did you also think that when you grew up you’d go to glow parties, drink from test tubes, and eat cheesy pizza? I still need to check that off my bucket list.

Karissa M

Ah I love this movie so much! It’s so nostalgic and is one of those movies that really stuck with me as a kid. I know it’s a comedy and doesn’t take itself too seriously, but Gracie’s character was honestly so relatable to me as someone who grew up kinda introverted, awkward, sporty and tomboyish but also loved the more stereotypical girly things as well. Loved her answer towards the end when she said how her perspective changed on what it meant to be part of the pageant, ultimately acknowledging that she could love all different parts of what it actually means to be a woman.

I'm Batman

Haven't seen this movie, looking forward to it.

Maisie

I was SO disappointed when I found out paint drums at clubs were not a regular thing!

LilithCain

Now more than ever I want the boys to watch "Dumplin" (2018)

Emily G

I loved this movie growing up. The whole movie (and soundtrack) is so nostalgic for me. I love Gracie Hart’s character, and love Sandra Bullock. ❤️ Thank you guys for reacting to it!

Toasted Toad

This is why I love watching movies with you guys. As you say, it’s unusual to have 3 guys sitting down to watch a film like this, so it’s great to see you guys watch with open minds, ready to enjoy the film for what it is. Not every film needs to have a deep message or complex plot in order to be good or enjoyable. Sandra and the pageant winner (can’t remember her name) must have clicked, because she was in her next movie - Two Weeks’ Notice (or maybe it was the other way around). Highly recommend Two Weeks’ Notice. It’s with Hugh Grant. From memory, Miss Congeniality 2 was pretty bad, doing the usual thing of not understanding what made the original so enjoyable.

Knightmare

Sandra Bullock is so incredibly charming. I can never take my eyes of of her! 😭❤️

Megan

This! I'm not sure if others are sensitive to it as well, but I guess I'm skipping intros now.

Megan

I didn't learn this til recently, but Sandra and Benjamin dated for 3 years, (they met and got together on this film). I always wondered because you could see how they interacted during their sparring scene, and I always wondered if they were together in real life. Two of my favorite actors! I absolutely love this movie and I remember loving part 2 though I know some hate it. I just can't remember if I liked it as much as this one. Not to mention, it came out 5 years later so part 1 wasn't fresh in my mind at the time.

Megan

I LOVE Cheryl! The "perfect date" quote lives rent free in my head. She's just too precious! Same, I remember liking part 2 but I only saw it once or twice because it never played on tv so I only saw it when we rented it.

Megan

The closest thing to "fun with paint" I ever found is the paint run my sister did. Not sure if it was charity, a normal 5k, etc. But like....I don't want to exercise, I want fun.

Badd Medicine

Lol it's not every intro. But feel free to skip. 🤙

krissy

Yes! And Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999)!

I'm Batman

Perfectly said, this was just a flat out fun movie. Doesn't need a deep plot with a thought provoking story to be an absolute hit. Perfectly casted and everyone was absolutely great. I'd say this is a 4.25/5 for me.

Cass&Jason

Have I mentioned you need to watch Gun Shy? Sandra Bullock and Liam Neeson are hilarious!

Maisie

Yeah I remember it being terrible.

Kimmie

I feel bad for laughing because it's actually so sad that men have always taken credit for women's achievements

Annie519

She really is! I have always loved her and it honestly started with While You Were Sleeping for me, which I would love for the guys react to.

Annie519

I love when they reactor to romcoms!! There some of my favorite reactions.

Jacqueline (xXMalaaaXx YT)

HAHA I love when Oak recognises iconic memes from their sources it is so much fun 🤣❤️

Juley

PLEASE react to While You Were Sleeping!

Toasted Toad

Wow, have they not already done it? That's a MUSTCH watch. That and Two Weeks' Notice. Both better than The Proposal

Stacy Lymber

Not sure if the guys noticed but Miss New York is Melissa De Sousa who played Shelby in The Best Man franchise.

CallingCollins

I love when Oak recognizes a meme from a movie he's never seen before. A pretty niche thing to enjoy, but boy does it bring a smile to my face 😂😂

Shirlene Wright

I didn’t realize how quotable this movie is. Love this movie and cast. Great reaction!

Alanna Meyers 🍌

I really don’t like how her love interest doesn’t show any romantic interest in her until after her makeover. If anyone is only into you after you’ve lost weight, gotten dolled up, etc, they’re trash and not worth your time.
