Woohoo Percy is back!!! really really enjoyed this ep a lot this season imo has been crushing it so far way more than the first and I cannot wait for the next ❤️💯

For my book people including Heroes of Olympus, are yall on the look out for a certain foreshadowed Roman girl that our characters might run into this season?

Knightmare

You know what... maybe this show is secretly good 🤫 Kinda funny that Quinn thought Edge's coming back was ambivalent. He's the God of War, LOL. Percy Jackson the series is all ABOUT war between Gods 😂

Delphine

the horn in the beginning of the episode is the minotaur's horn that percy ripped off in the 1st season!

Percy is twelve years old in the first book so the age of all of the kids in the show is accurate to the books! The author of the books, Rick Riordan, was a middle school history teacher so he invented these young characters to make all these stories of mythology more interesting to his students and his own children. The movies aged them up and made them 16 years old because they thought that having them be teens would work for a wider audience.

Wait, did I misunderstand part of the prophecy that Annabeth shared? If we're talking about a child of the big three, would that not also include Tyson? Or is Tyson older chronologically but still considered a juvenile by cyclops genetics? I can't remember if they disclosed his actual age earlier. This just gave me major Harry Potter/Neville Longbottom vibes in that the prophecy was ambiguous enough that it could have been either of them until Voldemort attacked the Potters.

Elisbeth Vélez

I think they left the prophecy vague for now, but it will sure come up later with the exact words and you'll get answers🫣

Aubrey

Gotcha—thank you!!

The original book series by Rick Riordan has the kids as twelve years old and as readers we grew with the characters while reading. The movies came out at the same time twilight came out and my guess is they wanted to ride the teen movie wave and just changed it all up to fit more into that concept. Which was highly disappointing but whatever... In greek mythology it's very rarely defined how old the demigods actually are. But their stories vary a lot. So for Heracles, as an example, he strangled two snakes and played with their dead bodies when he was 8 months old. But then again he also later killed his wife and children so maybe he was just born a psychopath. Usually though it's said they grew up to be a "young man". Whatever that meant in ancient times. Achilles btw was taught by Chiron, the same centaur that usually leads Camp Half Blood. So Rick Riordan took a lot of characters from the actual myths and fit them into the modern world. Oh and Tantalus is actually very well known because he fed his son to the gods and was then punished to stand in water which will go away when he tries to drink and there were fruits hanging over his head but when he tried to reach them they'd go away.

oh my god i totally forgot about that lil piece of info!!

I like this show enough to keep watching, but to be honest it's kind of boring. You guys mention the Clash of the Titans and it's sequel, but have you seen the original from the early 80's starring Harry Hamlin? If not you should.
