Woot woot can’t wait to watch later! Robin Williams is just so iconic and legendary the genie is an amazing character. A lot of his lines were as libbed! You can tell the animators were having a lot of fun with his intro song. It’s a lot of fun.

Graham F

Wanted to go see Avatar 3 today but got snowed in, so this is filling that void!

PKKite

My personal favorite from the Disney Renaissance. Had it on VHS on loop as a kid.

Adrianna Marie Aka AD

Perfect timing. I just ordered lunch!!! I LOVE this movie...like Answer i watched this over and over as a kid. I even had my own magic carpet. It was just a blanket but my imagination was strong then 😂😂😂😂

Regipri1716

Oh! Thank you for reminding me that it came out!

John Fellios

I can’t wait to watch this reaction tonight. You should watch Return of Jafar and King of Thieves. Fun straight to video sequels also on Disney Plus.

Anthony Velasquez

Now that you seen Aladdin I think you guys should check out Team Starkid Twisted: A Story of a Untold Royal Vizier its their take on the Aladdin story where Jafar is the good guy in the story

Gem

Oak and Quinn laughing at Answer being absolutely locked in to this film made me choke on my tea 😂

GEMsMama

Ahhh Salaam and good evening to you worth patrons … It is time❤️🙌🏽❤️

Jess

This isn't about the movie but I haven't got access to the chat rooms at all and Idk what to do ???

Jess

They just have a loading thing and wont stop loading

Jess

Idk if you can help at all I thought I'd just ask if not that's fine

ShaniaBADDIE4LIFE🤘🐶🐱✨

Man, me personally, the songs in Aladdin—I'm sorry—It's light years above Frozen "Let It Go," and I know it's the most listened to Disney song, but "A Whole New World" and "Prince Ali"—man, those songs are my absolute favorites of this movie and still will be🤘🤩

ShaniaBADDIE4LIFE🤘🐶🐱✨

I love that answer brought up Beauty and the Beast because that movie is fucking legendary and one of my favorite Disney princess movies. 😁❤

enyo96

“A whole new world” is what originally got me into singing!!! I love that song so much and it really does stand the test of time 💕

GillyBean

adding a second voice to this 👆

Webster

Aw I thought this was the Will Smith version

Crystal

I need them to watch Pocahontas. Obvi the Disney version is not historically accurate, but it’s like the serious film they dropped during this era and the music is incredible.

Maggie B

Genie, you're free

Stephen Hert

Now it's time for "The Lion King". It's time. We've waited way too long.

Anthony Velasquez

I second this 100% cant believe Quinn has never seen The Lion King personally my favorite Disney movie of all time

Stephen Hert

We don’t talk about that version.

Webster

Yes we will. It is not a bad movie

Kaley

My opinion: 1.) “The Little Mermaid” started the Disney renaissance. 2.) “Beauty and the Beast” was the film to show that animated musicals/musical theater could work, and was the first film to have critics take animation seriously as an art form (it was the first animated film to get a Best Picture nomination). 3.) “Aladdin” brought the action and catered more to the male demographic and was the first to have celebrity voices.

Kaley

Same. For me, “Aladdin” is near perfect. “Beauty and the Beast” IS perfect!

Webster

Yall some haters. Better than Robin William's corny behind

Anthony Velasquez

Oh for sure late 80’s and the entirety of the 90’s was the best time for Disney imo

Lauren

Y’all - I haven’t seen Aladdin in a minute, but hearing Robin William’s voice got me teary-eyed. He was my childhood - and the only celebrity whose death I cried for. The whole cast was just amazing, however. Finally, Disney really had amazing scores that are unforgettable.

Anthony Velasquez

Yup Robin Williams was one of a kind the actor that I was sad losing was James Earl Jones he voiced some of my favorite characters in cinema in Darth Vader and Mufasa

Cristy

I'm so glad you got around to my favourite animated movie (and my fave Disney Princess). Answer is like a kid on Christmas morning like all of us! I used to be so scared of Jafar, he's such a great baddie.

Knightmare

Hearing the words "first time watch" during Aladdin honestly broke my heart a bit 😂 So glad you guys enjoyed. Aladdin is the BACKBONE of all the Disney princes that came after imo. Peel back the layers, he's always there!

I'm Batman

Man, if they react to them, my life will feel complete lol.

I'm Batman

This movie is "Perfect! Absolutely perfect! Down to the last minute detail" Sorry, had to use that quote since it fits so well. And Answer bringing up the sequels and saying hopefully they get to them made me react like a 90's Nsync fan hearing they're gonna perform in their city lol. I hope y'all do watch the sequels at some point, might not be everyone's cup of tea but I absolutely adore them as well. But yeah anyways, this is obviously a 5/5 for me. One of the few movies I'm watching multiple times throughout the year.

Papermaker

YAYYY!! I love when you guys watch animated features! Please watch Ferngully, An American Tail, the Jetsons, The Swan Princess!! Let's get some other studio animations! Spice it up!

Papermaker

Anastasia too!! PLZZZZZZZZZZ <3

Toasted Toad

I'm starting to get into the habit of jumping to the end to listen to your comments first! I love your discussions. And you made me a cry a little bit with what you said about Robin Williams. I felt it with you - such a terrible loss. I like this film, although it's not my favourite animated movie. But as 90 mins worth of entertainment, it works really well.

MarisoL

Uff that lava scene anxiety flashback to the game! 5/5 movie

Jakhiraj✨

Yes answer was locked in, caught Oak off guard! 🤣

AJ

Fun fact, Jonathan Freeman reprised his role as Jafar on broadway in 2014.

LadyReignOfDreams

This was fun to watch with you guys! So nice to see Answer smiling like a kid haha. I REALLY would love if you guys watched the animated "Quest for Camelot" next from 1998. I believe it's also in the recommendations! Very underrated movie!

Keshonna Laniece

As much as the live action was hated it actually wasn’t too bad nd the music is definitely worth a listen. Will smith definitely amps it up. Loved this reaction and hope you guys at least watch the live action on your own time if not on the channel.

Annie519

Absolutely!! Beauty & The Beast is my favorite Disney film, there's a reason why it was the first animated film to be nominated for best picture. It's only happened 3 times, the other two were Up and Toy Story 3. It wouldn't shock me if it was because of that movie and the films that followed like Lion King that caused the academy to create the animated category. That film needs to be watched!!

Annie519

He was perfect in this!! Jafar is not only one of the greatest Disney films of all time but just overall in general. I love that he's evil just to be evil. There isn't some complex reason for why he does things, he just wants power and that's it. I miss villains like this. And I like that he's actually funny too. One of my favorite moments is when him and Iago are laughing, they just keep building it up more and more.

Sharpgirl

"A whole new world.... Don't you dare close your eyes" my favorite line of the song

Sharpgirl

In my top 10 Oak moments now for sure!!!!

Amanda sue

I love Beauty and the Beast so much. Hope the guys get around to seeing it at sone point!

ItssLizzzaaas

Ahhh I love this movie so much, ps, Aladdin was my first childhood crush (yes I’m aware he’s a cartoon) 😂

Megan

Such an amazing movie! Now we just need The Lion King and Atlantis to complete my childhood nostalgia! This is why I always vote Jafar as the worst Disney villain. A lot of people say Dr. Facilier (The Princess and the Frog) but I don't think they remember how monstrous Jafar is in every single way. This and The Little Mermaid are the only two Disney movies where I loved almost every song and know all the words. "Arabian Night," "Friend Like Me," and "Prince Ali" went triple platinum in my house. 😂😂😂 I could never get into "A Whole New World" and to me, it's the weaker song of the movie. I think the voices didn't mesh well and Aladdin even sounded different on this one. But even covers by people I like, I just don't like this song. I watched it for your reactions, but I always skip that scene on rewatches.

Vonnie Stewart

awesome!!!! okay now original Little Mermaid please :)

Anthony Velasquez

Lowkey I prefer A Whole New World more in the live action version with Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud singing

Anthony Velasquez

And yes I have been banging the table for The Lion King reaction for awhile now

Megan

I tried to watch the live, but stopped not far in the beginning. It felt like Will tried too hard to be like Robin. But I'll have to watch that version of the song!

Anthony Velasquez

Yea there are some good things and bad I liked Mena and Naomi as Aladdin and Jasmine but Will as Genie was not good and the acotr who played Jafar wasnt good either

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

It only happened three times because the Academy is full of close-minded grumps who decided that they didn't want "real movies" to be threatened by "kids' movies" and so they created the "best animated feature" category to get all animated movies off of the possibility of a best picture nomination.

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

Are you on a computer, a phone, or a tablet? What operating system do you use? How are you attempting to access the chat rooms?

Jess

Phone

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

Yes that's exactly why the Academy created the animated category. Because those films were better than most live-action films and they were *embarrassed* at how bad their product was. Same reason the New York Times best-seller list got split into genres after the Harry Potter books kept more "worthy" literature off the list.

4f cigarette burn

Still the best Disney animated movie to this day, even when I'm not a fan of musicals.

ZuZu

I think they'd love Little Mermaid! That movie was really Disney's return to major animated feature films.

Mackenzie OReally Bravo

The ending never fails to make me tear up. I also deeply love the live action.

Mackenzie OReally Bravo

Absolutely loved Answer’s insight into the history of how much he loves it. So fun to hear!

Christina

Ahhhh yes please go down the Disney princess line and watch all the 90s disney movies!! And the live action remakes! I personally love them all.

Silvana

Loved seeing the boy come out of Answer while he watched this with the guys. Great reaction, and yes PLEASE watch “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast”.

Silvana

He’s a handsome cartoon. How could you not!? Those animators knew what they were doing with both him and Jasmine.

Jesiii97

Now that you guys have watched the OG aladdin film, I feel like I gotta recommend the musical "Twisted" from StarKid. Its a parody musical of Aladdin. Imagine "Wicked" but instead its the untold story of Jafar. It such a great reimaging! Its by the same theatre group that did the Harry Potter musical that you guys reacted to and its free to watch on youtube!

Nick Mitchell

YES! I've been WAITING for yall to watch Aladdin!

engene3402

hope you react to the live action movie aladdin! It's such a fantastic movie. I loved it.

Knightmare

Will Smith was the perfect choice for genie!

Kunzite Blossom

The funny thing is Aladdin could have technically wished to be a prince and give the lamp to Jasmine to give her 3 wishes and let her wish the genie free! Though I do like the route they took more.

Violet

Oak lipsyncing to A Whole New World was the best part of this! A really enjoyable reaction, guys!!

Ginger

Full House was my favorite tv show growing up. I was the same age as the character DJ. So I knew Steve was voicing Aladdin. Classic Disney. The live action remake was awful, imo, but I couldn’t believe they chose Will Smith to play the genie. No one does the genie better than Robin Williams and Will Smith’s comedy style was just the wrong vibe.

Brittany Salud

The singing voice of Princess Jasmine is none other than Disney and Broadway Legend Lea Salonga, who ALSO sang for Mulan! Her voice is beyond iconic. I saw her live last year and she sounds the exact same as she did decades ago when she recorded "A Whole New World" and "Reflection" for those two movies. Glad you guys enjoyed it; Aladdin, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, and Pocahontas were THE movies for me, so I truly get so excited to see you guys reacting to classical, Renaissance-era Disney. Hope to see more of these classic Disney/Pixar films in the future! Keep up the amazing content! <3

Liannie

I agree!! I think they'd enjoy it

Neera

Wait isn’t the singing voice of Aladdin and Jasmine, Brad Kane and Lea Salonga in this animated show? I know Vanessa Williams is Pocohontas’ singing voice and then she and Luther Vandross did a special duet of the song (pop cover)
