I don't blame Harper or Joyce for being overprotective; you can't tell a parent to not do that, even with them having special powers. I'm sorry they love you to much and the shit that's happening in Hawkins—you gotta have that and it's realistic. I expect Harper to, because of him losing his daughter to cancer. How can i not see his side and get mad? 🥹

Side note: I love hearing the younger cast members talk about the early days when they first met Joe Keery, because they apparently all pretty much worshipped him and got so excited any time they knew he was going to be on set because he was so nice and cool to them even though he was 10 years older. He was legit their hero back when they were kids and it's so heartwarming and wholesome and helps you understand why the Duffers decided to change course and NOT kill Steve off. Joe Keery is basically nothing but green flags.

The demo dogs scene in the laundry room was defiinitely a homage to Jurassic Park. It was shot for shot, from how the one raptor attacked the other as they were entering the kitchen to the hiding and ultimately the view from the mirror.

I completely agree with Oak. Nancy and Jonathan definitely broke up, and it had been coming for quite a while. They’ll always love each other after everything they’ve been through, but they’re not “in love” now. They’re both ready to move on. I’ve seen a lot of confusion about that scene online, with some people flat out refusing to believe they broke up, but I thought it was very clear, and really well written.

I don't understand the people who think that break up left it open for them to get back together in the future. It didn't. It's over between them, and it was a loving and mature end to the relationship where they recognized that they need to move on and discover who they are and who they're going to be instead of relying on each other and their shared trauma.

This was definitely my fave of the three episodes dropped, I cried like three times at least. That Jancy break-up was definitely the most beautiful break up I've seen, lol.

Did anyone else get Chernobyl Elephant's Foot (which was hot, Diamond Dave) and The Poseidon Adventure vibes from the Nancy and Jonathan scene? I thought their conversation was very mature and exactly what I would expect from two emotionally intelligent young people who have been close friends their whole lives. It's such a perfect lesson in how you can love someone without being in love with them, and they can now move beyond the "what ifs" to find love outside of each other. If they survive! I've loved the Max/Holly time we've gotten, but omg, couldn't we have had the conversation about finding their way back to their own bodies BEFORE they started looking for the final memory?? My daughter was cry-laughing at me yelling, "knees to chest, girls. F-ING MOVE!" I'll also throw out there that apparently there is more information about Henry's memory and the case in the play, which I have super mixed feelings about. It just feels like a sloppy retcon to fill in plot holes. It annoys me.

I cried when Dustin is yelling at Steve “I can’t do this again! You can’t die. Not you!” and then the big hug they have after. 💔😢 It’s so moving especially since I don’t believe Dustin’s Dad is in the picture. Losing an older brother figure like Eddie must have been particularly earth shattering from that perspective. Brilliant acting and writing!

I just wanted to write something similar,for me personally this small scene was the best one in all of those 3 episodes...🥹 Dustin&Steve duo is by far my favorite duo and Dustin was great in that scene just amazing

I'm glad that they put that out there because it's the #1 reason why I've been confident that the Duffers won't kill off Steve. I just cannot imagine them putting Dustin through that two seasons in a row, and for me, that scene basically confirmed that they're aware of that and, for the first time in a while, I'm as close to 100% certain Steve is safe as I've ever been.

nah Mrs Wheeler putting a canister in a dryer that attracts all the demodogs over the sound of a radio a foot away which ends all the danger of the scene is insanely cheesey

My one problem with the play being canonical and the show being the way it is, is that how are Joyce and Hop and all the rest of the adults just not gonna know who Henry is? Like, all of them were involved with him with that play. They should know who Henry was.
