what a cliffhanger for you all to leave off on!! the rest of this season is amazing. i’m really excited for you all to see episode 9, specifically. it’s one of, if not my favorite, episode of the entire series.

Esther K

Why just a solo episode!?!?! 😩

DD, Kate Berlant is the actress portraying Georgie at the Al-Anon meeting. After looking at her IMDb credits all I could come up with is she's the movie theatre box office worker who takes Margot Robbie's photo in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. She's also a stand-up comedian & Chris Storer (the creator) has been an EP on her specials. That Luca/Syd scene is one of my faves for sure, so cute.

Cristy

Both Georgie's story and the discussion between Marcus and Chester were examples of pessimistic vs optimistic thinking and as a pessimist a lot of the time, I appreciate it when someone points out the optimistic side of things. Also, get me some of Marcus' dessert STAT, that thing looks delicious.

Kyle

Maybe cause theyre doing his and hers they dropped to 1 eps

Sorry guys! I didn't catch the note. Hope everything is alright. 🙏 The statement in their weekly schedule: "Apologies for the delay on The Bear 4x6. We had to wrap up early that night due to some personal matters that needed our attention. We're hoping to get it out later this week, but if not, it’ll be released alongside 4x7 and 4x8 next week. Thanks so much for your patience!"

I love Natalie and Marcus’s relationship so so so much. She’s literally the big sister he never had and he’s like a brother that doesn’t make her crazy. It’s too cute

I don't get it, where is the bear going to show up?

"What happens to me if I can no longer create" can be the stuff of existential nightmares for an artist. For most of us, our art is the most basic, intimate piece of our identity. It is the mirror through which we examine ourselves, life, trauma, etc., so how does one learn to move forward when it's gone? This is the crux of Carmy's struggle. Showing the trip to the Frank Lloyd Wright house was masterful. First, I'm not sure that Carmy has ever done anything just for the enjoyment of it, which signals, maybe for the first time, a legitimate willingness to heal. Second, watching him experience the house with an artist's eye for form reaffirms that his creative passion, however it has evolved, is still there. Jeremy Allen White is sooo freaking talented because anyone who has experienced this knows exactly what they're witnessing. Carmy's entire countenance is different in this episode. He LOOKS different. This is the brilliance of JAW. Really loved the scenes between Syd and Luca, Nat and Marcus, and Richie and Jess. The moments when characters are relaxed and bantering with each other feel so genuine. Despite it ending on a heavy note, this episode felt like we finally turned a corner, and I'm really excited to see what happens in the last three episodes!

Just a head's up... 4x7 "Bears" is the longest episode in the entire series, at least through the end of S4, anyway. It's 70 glorious minutes long - 4 minutes longer than 2x6 "Fishes", which is the only other episode (so far) to exceed an hour in runtime.

DTGstl314

At first I thought maybe you meant Ep10 because it's an incredibly powerful (and minimalist) episode, but then I remembered a particular thing that happens in Ep9, and yeah, that one is also amazing.

DTGstl314

That wasn't just a Frank Lloyd Wright house, that was THE Frank Lloyd Wright house - his personal home and studio. And yes, Wisconsin has a lot of his works - the only state with more FLW home designs than Wisconsin is Illinois, mostly in and around Chicago. He's probably the most famous American architect of all time, and throughout his illustrious career, he designed more than 1,100 different homes.

When Syd made the basketball in the hoop, she wasn't trying to make it in, I think you guys missed what she said before she threw it

sarina

episode 10 is amazing too! but the thing we’re probably both thinking of is my favorite scene in the show :)

Cristy

70 glorious minutes long, yes it is! Bring the tissues, guys.

Cristy

I just watched another channel react to episode 9 so it's fresh in my mind and it is wow. That and ep 7 are my faves of the season for sure.

sarina

ooh which channel?? 👀 the acting in both episodes is so good! i’m so excited to see these guys watch them too!

Cristy

Watch this with Joe and Kevin. They're only up to s4 episode 3 on yt but 9 on Patreon. Their reactions have been so good just like the bad medicine guys.

Tay

Yesss!🙌🏽 My favorite episode of season 4 for sure!
