Sorry for the wall of text, its hard to do a TLDR for this sort of stuff but these are the refences in Egg's little tune that I caught and a bit of lore to go with it: Aegon's little song was about the 'Blackfyre Rebellion' which occurred about a generation before. They were bastards that got legitimised by Aegon IV (father of the current King, Daeron the Good) and started yet another civil war. The 'Battle of the Red Grass Fields' is referenced in the previous episode (where Arlan lost his nephew). That was where Daemon Blackfyre was defeated and killed in battle and the rest of his line was banished to Essos. There's a lot of rich lore and story in this world but that's skimming the surface of it. The Daemon referenced in the song isn't the Daemon Targaryen you know, it's the Blackfyre bastard who started the line of House Blackfyre, their descendants survived all the way up until Barristan Selmy killed 'Maelys the Monstrous' in the 'Battle of the Ninepenny Kings', around 76 years later and close to the current GoT timeline. Daemon Blackfyre was gifted the sword Blackfyre by Aegon IV because he preferred his bastard son as he reflected what he saw as a good leader with marshall prowess and charisma, while Daeron was more timid and book smart. (Aegon was also a lustful glutton with a lot of bastards). This is the same sword that Aegon II in HoTD wields, wielding the conquerors sword had a lot of symbolism and significance as it was typically the sword given to the trueborn heir (Otto Hightower knew what he was doing). As a result, Daemon adopted Blackfyre as his house name instead of Targaryen and reversed the colours of his house sigil to be a black dragon on a red field. Fans still theorise where Blackfyre - the actual sword wielded by Aegon the Conqueror (gifted to Daemon Blackfyre) is to this day as it was passed down through his bloodline. One final reference I missed is the 'Hammer' and 'Anvil' are references to Baelor and Maekar. During the height of the Rebellion, when they were still young princes they commanded the Targaryen forces. Maekar was the Anvil, Baelor was the Hammer. Their father Daeron the Good wasn't really the archetypical knight who was good at warfare but his sons were.
