My favourite Sherlock episode!

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

Loved the reaction, guys! Was hoping that this one would break the "middle episode curse" for you - glad that it did! Re your question about Mrs. Hudson's husband and whether we'd heard of him before and knew about the homicide - we have! In the pilot episode, when Sherlock and John meet to see the apartment for the first time, John says that the place must be expensive (desirable neighborhood in London), and Sherlock says that the landlady is giving him a discount, because her husband was sentenced to be executed in Florida for murder, and Sherlock helped with the case. John asks if Sherlock saved him from execution, and Sherlock says no, he made sure that her husband was executed. So we already knew he was terrible, and that they had lived in Florida for a time.

I cannot wait until next week’s episode - there will be so many reveals! And the “arc” of this season will be clear.

luce

my fav episode

Lauren

Did y’all notice by the way that Bainbridge is Dean from Harry Potter?

wes

I remember being so worried about the introduction of Mary when I first watched the series, didn’t know she’d end up being my favourite character.

ZuZu

I knew you guys would love this one! I'm already looking forward to next week's episode!

Kath

One of my fav episodes too.

If she hadn't so quickly understood and accepted Sherlock and all his quirks, it would have been hard to like her. Thankfully, she liked him immediately.

One thing that's great is that they never tell us whether Sholto deserved to be blamed or not. It's still possible that he was at fault, but even if he was – and even if the fault was severe enough that, if you believe in the death penalty, or just in an-eye-for-an-eye, and if it turned out he was guilty you thought he deserved to die for it – the photographer's actions just don't stand up – especially trying it out on Bainbridge. There's no guarantee he was innocent – but that doesn't matter. (Even though being given special dispensation to keep his uniform, and John respecting him, do suggest that whatever he did was a mistake, but not -wrong-. Then again, in The Sign of Four, the Arthur Conan Doyle novel where the name Sholto comes from, Major Sholto is definitely a bit of a blackguard, as they would have said at the time.)

Liked how they tied in a case into the best man speech & how everything was connected leading up to the conclusion of the event & keeping us guessing (even more than usual) liked how the speech was done in typical Sherlock fashion, LOVED your reactions to the entire 'Stag Do' scene & was going to explain a 'Pub Crawl' but the eps did for me ha, by the way that is NOT a PROPER Traditional English Breakfast, it's missing bacon/hash browns & it's 1 slice of fried bread/1 slice of toast, also Sherlock is right, ya can't have a cup of tea without biscuits! :P Quinn's 'wrong driver side' moment & Answer's reaction was brilliant & gave a good laugh hehe & YES! THANK YOU Quinn for suggesting 'The Bank Job' as they would LOVE IT if they enjoy a good heist movie. :)
