With the blacksmith I think you guys forget the whole knighting ceremony that happened. Only knights can fight. He would of also had to be knighted too, but idk if that’s possible

Jake Western

One of the best episodes of TV in a very long time

tom

when Baelor says "this man protected the innocent, as every true knight must" he's also talking about himself. he believes Dunk to be innocent, and therefore as a true knight he must protect Dunk.

Halima

That, and he’s also doing some major PR for his family

Halima

Baelor is so fucking goated. He already tried to save Dunk by having him demand a trial by combat, hoping Aerion would chicken out and withdraw his accusation. But to go actually side with Dunk for the trial? Chills! Even went out of his way to borrow his son’s armour to fight for Dunk.

i think Aerion is the "dragon" from the dream that Duncan will take out during the fight, cause we know there's no dragons during this time frame, and earlier the brother said, "he thinks he was born an actual dragon" talking about Aerion. so i think that may be what the dream may be

Belly

they didn’t have to spend money on dragon cgi so they were able to go all out on the costuming

I LOVED EVERYTHING about this episode, that build up of anticipation we got felt great! the dialogue that Ser Duncan had with each character was mesmerising & proves the impact he had on everyone he met along the way (probably without even realising it) I think the 'Dragon' mentioned that would be slain is Metaphorical & not of an 'actual' Dragon. I'm glad that Egg (I'm still gonna call him that too) fondness/friendship is genuine & wasn't a ruse. That Shield looked amazing & beautifully made, hearing the GOT theme at the end got us so excited for whats to happen next & seeing the utter glee in your reactions made us even more hyped for next episode, this spin off show certainly is an unexpected gem.

I’m merely speculating and have not read the book, and I also hope I’m wrong, but I think Aerion will kill Baelor and he’ll be the “dragon” that falls. And technically he’s on top of Duncan because he chose to fight for him so in a sense it’s like he was protecting him. Just my guess. I hope not though because I LOVE Baelor!!! Plus he’s hot 💗

mdl

Raymun gives me Podrick vibes from GOT. What a move by him.

I think Game of Thrones gives all of us viewers anxiety because we feel that nothing good will happen to the protagonists we see on screen, or that the worst is yet to come. That is why this show hits so differently. Also, i have read the book already, it makes my eyes water every time fortune favors Ser Dunk.

I'm Batman

Hands down the best episode, what a reveal at the end there. I absolutely hated the first season of Rings Of Power and while I did enjoy season 2 of Rings Of Power (besides one major part revealed at the end) it doesn't hold a candle to what this show has given me. Might just be because this is new or whatever but I'd even say this show I'm enjoying more than House Of The Dragon even. And hats off to keeping me invested each week despite the shorter runtime than average GOT's runtimes.

I knew you guys would love this episode......I was excited to see that.....there are some minor details to.....they didnt rely on the fake out of the last knight being Valaar...since Baelor was wearing his son's armor from the first two episodes....Dexter was so good once back in his position..and yet still had that chemistry with Dunk...Oak had a good point at the end and hope that will come into to play in the next episode

Sharrod Wolf

This is actually a solid theory

Sharrod Wolf

“Look at the benefits, you’re friends with a prince” -Answer As dunk sits in a dungeon not knowing his fate 😂 Also Quinn don’t get your hopes up too high my man. Dragon dreams aren’t that literal

Matthew Glover

Yea i was thinking his dream was metaphorical, with the "Dragon" being Aerion. I dont know what the wings could be though

Eboe Thrasher

This one did indeed build to a satisfying end, perfectly to set up the combat in the next episode. And them waiting until THIS moment to drop the GoT theme on us for real? OMG the antici pation is so REAL.

Anthony Velasquez

Its crazy to think with House of Dragon everyone is pro Targeryn but with this show they really do go out of their way to make you hate Targeryns

tom

to be fair the only really shit one is Aerion and the rest of the family hates him

Eboe Thrasher

I guess I'm one of the rare people who loved all of RoP? I got the goal, the mission, when I was coming into it. They couldn't touch the content of the Silmarillion because nobody has synchronization rights. The entire film and TV and video game world is still all built off that one contract with Saul Zaentz. Appendices are all they've got to use. And apparently Tolkien himself had welcomed collaboration and for others to create in the playground he had made. So I really liked the friendship you see between Elrond and Durin. And are you really telling me you didn't like how he was named? I assume that might be what you are referring to?

I'm Batman

Talking about The Stranger at the end of season 2. Literally makes no sense, he's not supposed to show up untill the 3rd age, not the 2nd. The only reason I think hey made him "a certain character" is because he's known. Would've preferred if they had just introduced the blue wizards since they were among the first to enter Middle-Earth. I will say I did love the friendship between Elrond and Durin, one of the strong points for me for season 1. Anyways, I'm not one to judge anyone who likes something I don't, some people are like that and I find it a waste. I'm glad you enjoyed all the seasons so far and I'm looking forward to season 3.

I would love to see a reaction of GoT from yall
