The IMDB wars have been getting real hot the last week 😅

A true knight finishes his story. GRRM left the group. 🤣

This show perfectly demonstrates how to execute a character arc. Ser Duncan who wanted to serve lords and higher-ups at the beginning, decided to instead serve the everyday folk. It wasn't perfect by any means, but nonetheless the show was heartfelt, funny, thrilling, authentic, real; with two charming leads and a wonderful supporting cast. 4.2/5 Answers

Iron islands wasnt its own kingdom it was one kingdom with the riverlands when aegon conqueored westeros and he split it later and dorne wasnt conquered at all be aegon only and very long time after joining hence the seven kingdoms now the 9 kingdoms

I LOVE how the story was centered on small-folks, it made the atmosphere feel so refreshing. Also, I had the same thought Oak…maybe if maekar disclipined his fucking kids!! I’m so glad Egg didn’t listen to him and went with Dunk. Though, I appreciated the part where Maekar says that Egg is his last son (presumably the last one he can try to raise better). It made him feel much more humanistic and like the struggling father he truly is. Dunk had it rough this episode, I’m glad Raymun was there for him like a real lad! Genuinely can’t wait for season 2.

Really its all a political title.....Westros was made up of 7 kingdoms...this during the age of the first men and the arrival of the Andals... Aegon "united" 6 of the seven kingdoms creating 8 provinces or regions.. until Baelors father married a Martell adding the kingdom of Dorne under the Crowns rule. So the list of political titles to the crown still includes King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm....

Ira Parker the show runner said he wants 10-12 season, and GRRM said he plans to write more novelas but you never know with him

What a heartfelt way to end this season, like how show was mostly centred on the peasant way of life, with a mixture of the hierarchy, Ser Duncan still feeling guilty but the gods favoured him alive for his story is not over & still has many adventures ahead of him & cool twist with Egg there! in response to Answer's question, even though he may of deserved it, was probably a good thing Egg didn't take him out so its not on his conscience & can live rest of his life with a clean pure heart. Liked your reactions when we saw the horse back & a nice touch of Duncan leaving a penny in the tree after that backstory, good to hear there will be a 2nd season which I look forward to with ya guys in the future!. ❤️

Lets gooooooo! This was amazing and yeah a great way to wrap it up cant wait for more. Also i would love to see yall watch GoT with Answer, it would be great to just hear all your thoughts and opinions even if its a rewatch for some of yall. =]

Kyle Schildroth

I think you guys missed the answer as to why Arlen didn't knight Dunk. It was in the story he told about the pennies and the oak tree. "It got hard to find a spot to put your penny" meaning, a lot of knights never made it back to remove the penny, indicating that they have died. That's Arlens answer I think, not wanting for Dunk to have to deal with the stuff he had to deal with this season, w/ Kings and princes, battles to the death.

Simon

Maybe I missed it, but why were the guys apart for this one, DD?

Money-Kate Olsen

My guess is Answer, for some reason, couldn't make it to the studio they usually record in, since they usually record this show on Sunday night after it premieres. But they were having technical issues with HBO Max so it had to be recorded later.

Thanks for wrapping the series up. You have the best reaction to be honest. I love that you did not overthink this series and I love that you laugh so hard on its comedy. It was a great ride with you three! Until the next season!

The nine kingdoms thing was just a joke cause most people don't include iron islands and crownlands, not really story relevant. Also the creator has planned out a lot more seasons of this

Jack Warne

By the way, in the books it's also never said if Dunk is knighted or not; it's left to be ambiguous.

Eboe Thrasher

From what I've heard, though, he considers himself to be a fraud or something to that effect, which basically gives it away that he was never knighted. Things don't have to be explicitly said to be said. Especially when dealing with inner monologue.

Eboe Thrasher

I try to steer clear of those comment areas, they are a cesspool at best.

Eboe Thrasher

Rings of Power was not allowed to used anything other than a small amount of lore from the appendices from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit. There is no licensing for the Silmarilion which is what mostly covers this period, and so they can't stick to something that they don't have the rights to use, and they will never get the rights to it. The rights to Hobbit and LoTR were sold by Tolkien and Saul Zaentz ended up owning them, and created Middle Earth Enterprises which licenses them out to people, and has been doing so since the 70s. And apparently, Tolkien himself had invited people's collaboration in his universe in letters he wrote. I like Rings of Power, quite a bit. I think it gets unfairly maligned.

Saphthings

The show doesn't confirm whether he was knighted or not. Arlan woke up, so we don't know if he knighted him after. The series started at way later in the day, if it's even that same day. So that whole scene was supposed to be a funny fakeout because you think, "oh aha it's confirmed! He's not a knight!" but then he wakes up, so we'll never know lol

Aubrey

I spy the old set in Answer's background! I loved this season, but man, I needed at least 3 more episodes. I can't wait until they do the GoT rewatch with Answer. I'm way overdue for a rewatch.

mdl

Oh absolutely, it's just wild seeing people react so intensely amongst fandoms.

Douglas Kelley

First, we still don’t know if he knighted him after that. Second, you don’t have to be a knight to go to war. You honestly think that every person in someone’s army, is a knight? Hound & Brienne weren’t knights and still served the Baratheons…

Douglas Kelley

No, Dorne is part of the original 7 kingdoms. The Crownlands and Iron islands make 8 and 9

Kyle Schildroth

Ive read the books my friend, im telling you, he was never knighted and that's the reason ser Arlen didn't want him to be knighted.
