OMGGG YAYY A NEW EPISODEEE

Seth

The One Piece... IS REEEEAAAAAL!!!

rottedvein

theyre called the unluckies because their names are miss friday and mr 13 lol like friday 13th

Juzism

trust me that is something Sanji say but the live action toned him down alot from the manga & anime, so it could feel out of place in the live action. Down to the core Sanji is a ladies man and simp

Crispy

love the set design on this and the last episode

Crispy

I like how the paint made them opposite to how they normally are, Luffy is normally optimistic so she made him depressed, zorro is always serious so she made him constantly laugh and nami always has direction so the paint made her basically stoned so she doesn't wanna go anywhere, must have been torture for them

Lauren

I saw a video that the actor who plays Sanji really fought to keep that fight between Miss Friday and 13 in the episode - they almost cut it entirely. I also love the commentary on artists and their art with our two main villains.

Sabrina

I love Zoro's posing in this! Got to look cool hahaha I love that they gave Usopp this character arc <3

YUNO

FINALLYYYY *rocks voice*

Knightmare

Compared to everyone else's Devil Fruit, Luffy seems so lame LOL. I think Mr. 3 is my fav user so far!! Love the villains this season sm

Totally unrelated but hey Dave - if you see this, and can ask Oak (apologies for asking this on a completely unrelated post), but my wife and I just finished watching LOTR with our son for the first time (for him; she and I have both seen it countless times), so I went back and watched y'all's reactions to the trilogy, and at the end of ROTK, Oak said if they ever put it back in theaters he'd be interested in going to see it. Well, they did earlier this year, so I'm curious, did he end up going? Again, just pure curiosity on my part! Hope y'all are having a great Monday! (Signed - someone who saw Fellowship in the theater 17 times when I was in college, and who saw ROTK twice on opening day - I have a reason for that one, by the way!)

Altariel

Loving the reaction and discussion as always & can't wait for the next one! Also, welcome to the widely known are-they-dead-or-not guessing game in the One Piece fandom. 😂 It's become more tricky with the live action – Merry in season 1 for example died in the live action, but not in the manga/anime. So even long time fans can't be sure in all cases... 👀

Zara❤️

as a long term fan they smashed the little garden arc ☺️❤️ soooo effing excited for the next 3 episodes though 😎

Midnight Lion

"Don't you worry about me and size," is only a misplaced joke when you don't know that Sanji and Zoro are the biggest ship in the fandom🤣 (according to its top spot on the fanfiction site AO3 lol) Oda (the mangaka aka author) made it a condition of the live action that there'd be no romance between the Straw Hats, but that doesn't mean that the live action creators haven't been dishing out little fun moments like this for the fans. Some of the actors too have referenced Sanji x Zoro in interviews since they're fans of the manga and anime and are aware of the popularity of the ship.

Ginger

Since they killed Merry off in season one even though he don’t die in the anime, I feel a little anxiety if they plan on killing any more characters off who don’t die in the anime. Happy they stayed true to the anime and kept Brogy and Dorsey alive. I think Mr. 3 was perfectly cast. You can see the actors playing Luffy and Sanji on YouTube hamming it up when they watched the scene together where the otter showed up. I didn’t catch it the first time I saw the episode, but they leaked a big spoiler that only those who know the anime or manga will pick up on. I won’t reference where it showed up so not to spoil it. I don’t remember if it was a giant goldfish in the anime, but I love the callback to Usopp’s made up story of defeating a giant goldfish to Kya. I loved Usopp’s story in this of facing his fears.

Ginger

Luffy has the best devil fruit tho.

bien

that was my problem with the anime, characters don’t stay dead. i love watching the cast together! i don’t remember the goldfish either but love that it tied back to the story he told kya.

Ginger

For me, if it was a character I really liked that they made us think they were dead, then I was happy. But when it was a villain, it just annoyed me if they didn’t die when they seemed to be killed. I felt that so may people surviving decreased believability. Like when Zoro was thrown down that well in season 1. That far of a fall should have at least seriously injured him but he was completely unharmed. And that’s just one of many instances where a character should have succumb to injuries but didn’t. I like that Usopp’s face at least got a good bruising in this episode. I guess with the anime I could brush it off as being a cartoon and a fictional world. It’s harder to pull that off in live action that isn’t child focused.

Zanni

Yeah she was probably also watching/observing them the moment they arrived. She saw that Nami cared waaay too much and was like, “Yup, I’m gonna make her not gaf” lmao. And she saw Zoro acting too serious and decided to nerf him by brightening his mood😂

Zanni

MQ is low key a party pooper lmao still love him though. This just doesn’t seem like his type of show by the way he’s been reacting. I mean, we’re more than halfway now.

Zanni

Yeah 💯 I personally think it wasn’t even misplaced. Idk what Mason Quinn was talking about tbf. I chuckled at that line, especially when Nami mumbles, “idiots”. If you know the characters well, you wouldn’t find the dialogue odd. And I haven’t even watched the anime, but I know Sanji would def say something like that.

Crispy

cool detail :)

Marie RammGirl

In response to Quinn inquiring how Luffy broke free of the wax hammer, he leaned back when Mr 3 tried to strike him, thus breaking it. Nice touch of her explaining the paints for those not familiar with the Anime, the fight scenes in this Live action was incredible, Quinn's "WHAT IS THIS? A CAT IN PYJAMAS?!" had me bursting out in laughter 😂 as did Sanji's "Chains, red wine, whole load of candlewax, somebody had a good time" ;) Transponder Snail phone noises & way they say "click" afterwards always amused me & yay for 'Jericho' reference when Mr 3 said straw hats had made the list ha.

Jeremy Burch

This was a great episode, I thought David Dastmalchian was great as Mr. 3 and Sophia Anne Caruso was great as Miss Goldenweek, she was creepy. From what I can gather fans of the Anime and Manga liked what she brought to the live action version of the character. I mean from what I was able to see from clips and videos online of Beetlejuice the Musical and watching her perform Dead Mom to many times, I'm not surprised. She was also good in The School for Good and Evil.

Knightmare

idk man Miss Valentine, No 5 and Mr. 3 impressed me more. The only thing stronger than devil fruit is the power of friendship which is the only reason they lost in my eyes

calum1

Im on episode 456 of the anime and I absolutely love the live action so far, hope they continue for many more series

Tania R

I really hope they go for the full 12 seasons, I’d happily watch it all! But I don’t know if I can survive a 3 year wait between each one. 🥺

Hazel Ronde

I love the giant goldfish at the end. Wasn't that the story we heard Usopp tell Kaiya when we first saw them together?

Sailingcats420

Yes it was a giant goldfish in the anime

Sailingcats420

There are several characters that permanently die in the anime, yes many come back when they appear to have died, but many also die 100%
