I look forward to your Attorney Woo episode drops every week. Thanks for making my Fridays 😊

I wish there'd be a double drop for this as well like what yall did for Bloodhounds 2.

Mari

Did they not recognize the actress who played North Korean Defector as the The Glory actress until the end? I was impressed with her North Korean accent.

Fee

Are the guys aware that the CEO’s of Taesan and Hanbada are two different people?

star

Guys the woman you keep seeing is not the ceo of woos company she is the ceo of their biggest opposing law firm called taesan

Lauren

Yeah, the defendant in this case was one of the main bullies in The Glory. I remember being impressed by such a change in role. Also, the story about the mother whales and their babies broke me.

rebecca

Hey guys dont know if you noticed but the kid's mother is played by Kim Hieora wich is the actress who played Lee Sa-ra (the drug addict) in The Glory.

Fajar Kurniawan

as Asian, now I Understand why 'All Asians look the same' meme 🤣

Terri Cooper

Great reaction as always. I can't for some future episodes...going to be amazing

I get the focus on the mother - daughter themes, and that was interesting, but I felt like the case itself deserved a bit more attention here. The client essentially confessed, and the judge picked up on it before the lawyers did - that felt like a huge moment to me. Also, the North Korean defector angle carries a lot of weight in Korea, so this case felt really strong overall. And the mum is actually the actress from The Glory - the priest’s daughter with that memorable scene with the boa constrictor, if you remember her. I know the emotional side will build more later, but for me the cases are just as central to the show, and this one felt like it deserved a bit more focus.

Glad we got some Levity in the courtroom for such a heavy subject matter case eps, that scene of Child Woo asking her Father why don't she have a Mother & the symbology of her 'Mother Whale' story really pulled hard at our heartstrings, was sweet how protective Jun-Ho/Soo-Yeon got of Woo over that Husband assault scene, shows how deeply they care about her & was anyone else tearing up over the verdict of the case at the end? this was a good episode, but I hope we get some more light hearted-ness in upcoming eps.

Tania R

Agreed. I definitely felt emotional during the verdict. 🥺❤️

I agree, asking about someone’s family origin in court is borderline Nepotism, but it’s a pretty common type of small talk among the elderly in Korea. Looking back at that scene, it seems like the judge saw the defendant was a first-time offender and had confessed.(which are the biggest factors for a lighter sentence at least in Korea) He probably thought it'd be an easy case and tried to make some small talk before it started 😅 (kinda funny how Young-woo took his words literally)

Tania R

On a side note, I really love the senior lawyer, Jung Myung-seok. He’s such a fantastic character and so protective of his rookies. Just love him 🫶💛

Another great episode! Hated seeing Jung getting yelled at by that idiot lawyer. Like how he stood up for Woo & Choi, tho. Jung quickly became one of my faves on the show. Was frustrating at times cause the client kept sabotaging their own case. That 'if I were a whale' scene just broke my heart! Like how the judge, who seemed kinda biased at times, turn out to be pretty honorable. Was good seeing Woo fallible. More believable than having her just always knowing everything. They teased us with that final scene. The closing artwork is always great!

Tania R

💯 ❤

I shed more than a few tears this episode. The verdict definitely brought on the water works.

Unholy Tater

Prosecutor from the Andong Kim family... Mr Queen!

That sort of talk is very common in India too, people say it's casteism but the fact they also do it in Korea (and probably elsewhere too) shows it's more than just that. I'm wondering if it used to be common in Europe too back when people moved around less and had a stronger connection with their hometown.

I read something recently about whaling, it's so so tragic, the way these animals tried to defend themselves or their babies while we almost exterminated them in the 19th and 20th century. The human species is messed up.

I recognized our girl from The Glory immediately, first time seeing her in a somewhat positive role! (she was also a villain in Bad And Crazy)
