Olive_Sandy

OMG ITS FINALLY HERE 😭🧡 LFG

Tara ✨💫

Well, I know what I’m doing when I get off work today!!

starstrucker

This is already such a good month of reactions from yall! I feel fed from all the drops lately 😅

Brandon Reacts

Still waiting for them to watch ‘The Day After Tomorrow’ altho titanic? Heck yeah!

Ally

At the “middle finger” scene, people clapped their hands in the movie theater. It happened multiple times. First time I ever experienced clapping in a movie theater 🤍

Rebecca B1

I was hoping Oak hadn’t seen it yet because I wanted his reaction, but honestly I’m not surprised at all that he’s the one who’s seen it a hundred times ahaha

Cari

This is my one of my favourite movies along with Legends of the Fall. Used to watch it every year but it has been a while. Can’t wait to watch and see the guys reactions.

Kickinthescience

Now James Cameron is making nothing but water movies unfortunately. I need another True Lies type of movie

Kickinthescience

I remember that Rose could’ve moved over debate

Ally

Also Molly Brown really existed and she was an incredible woman 🤍

J-Rob

My #3 romance of all time. Masterpiece.

Sam

You guys should def check out Brit comediennes French and Saunders Making Of Titanic parody ( They also did Harry Potter)

Ron B.

Actually watched this in a theatre during one of those re-releases. The effects hold up really well on the big screen. Also, can't wait for that Remember the Titans reaction. It's gonna change DD's life.

Kickinthescience

James Cameron already spoiled the audience letting them know Rose lives in the beginning of the movie

Alanna Meyers 🍌

My favourite movie of all time. I saw it when I was about 5 or 6 and fell in love with it. I became obsessed with the ship and its history. My first date at 16 was even to see this movie when it re released in April 2012 in 3D for the 100th anniversary of the sinking. I’ve been wanting you guys to watch this (especially Answer since I know he hasn’t seen it) for sooooooo long. 🚢👩🏻‍🦰👱🏻‍♂️🌊🧊🩷

Mari

This movie is so sad. In 97 I wasn't ready for it and I didn't know about the history. I watched it because of Leo but came out highly interested about its history. Nowadays, it reminds me of the Sewol Ferry tragedy in S.Korea. Very sad and unfortunate tragedy.

Gem

I believe the gentleman who climbs onto the bow of the ship with Rose and Jack in the end, who takes a sip from his flask, is a nod to Charles Joughin, who survived in the water for 2 hours before being pulled onto the Carpathia. It's said that he drank a vast amount of alcohol during the sinking and that's what saved him from freezing in the water.

GEMsMama

The, “They both could have fit”, debate is how I ended up seeing this in theaters 3X. I was in middle school at the time, and the only way the arguments could possibly be settled was, “lets go see it then! You’ll see!”

Jodi

He also was tossing whatever he could find into the water so people would have something to hold onto to help them float. I also think I read something about him holding up someone for an extended period of time trying to save them (could be wrong about that part tho).

Lauren

Downton Abbey starts the very first episode with the aftermath of the Titanic, if that helps to pique your interest!

Kath

This film never fails to make me cry despite how many times I’ve seen it over the years. For those that love a good documentary, the BBC recently released a really powerful minute by minute retelling of the sinking using passenger and crew testimonies and re-enactments. Highly recommend it. Called ‘Titanic Sinks Tonight’.

Emily Barron

I’m so excited to see this reaction because this is my favorite movie

Gem

Yeah he was a real one! He was literally chucking women and children into life boats if they didn’t want to go bc they thought staying on the Titanic would be safer.

roxie c

i cried again

Spaceydoodle

I heard that the hands drawing the Rose picture was actually James Cameron's hands...he did that drawing! talented guy!

Lauren

I’m surprised no one mentioned that the captain is King Theoden from Lord of the Rings.

Kort

I remember getting Titanic on VHS when it came out. I watched it so much it wore it out 🤣 That and Aladdin were my two VHS casualties.

jo

my thoughts exactly 😭

I'm Batman

My 2nd favorite movie of all time, just behind the lord of the rings trilogy (counting them as a whole movie because they were shot back to back to back). This was one of the first movies I have memory of seeing at the theater. Still remember 8 year old me thinking a shark was gonna show up and eat Rose when she's on her way back with an ax to save Jack lol. One thing I've remembered from quite recently, a few years seeing a certain deleted scene still haunts me, the deleted scene of Cora's death with her mom and her dad screaming for someone to "Open the gate". It would've taken place between the scenes of when the water starts busting through the hallways (2:38:18 time of y'all's reaction time not the movie time) and the shot of the back of Titanic raising above the ocean. James Cameron took the scene out after seeing it saying it was too dark, and I agree with that, we don't need to see what happened to realise that Cora and her parents died since we see them in the "Titanic Heaven scene". Also the woman who plays Rose in her older years died when she was 100 in real life just like her character did, 100 years old. One thing I recently noticed (to my shame) was about 5 years ago I realised the captain is the same actor who played King Theoden. Not gonna rate this, I will say I think it's perfect though and I watch it many times a year.

you guys were in your teens when this came out THATS SO CUTEE

2026-09-06 11:00 Sobbing again at this movie because it’s just so horrible that this happened to so many people. I couldn’t help but think about the Captain. The full career he must have had. Family, life. Just for within an hour to realize it’s all over and that it’s ending in an absolute disaster and you are part of the blame. So many lives. So many people who are someone’s kid and someone’s friend. All that they were looking forward to. How hopeless and terrifying it must have all been.

As a kid I always thought it was kind of funny they brush aside her husband who she had kids and grandkids with to really thrust Jack into the forefront as her true love. Even at the end she's with Jack lol

Alex

In regard Oak's comments about the love story and how little they've known each other. It really takes like half a second for women to know a guy is "the one" for lack of a better term because that's how long it takes before they decide unconsciously if they're into you or not. And as a guy personally it happens pretty quick. I guess we all know this, but the thing is back then everything was simpler. A woman fell in love with a man and she trusted him and his values, and it was all way simpler than it was. I mean you see there the whole thing with Cal was about preserving their wealth and those kind of things happened all the time back then. And a lot of times they didn't fall in love. Nowadays everyone has 500,000 different opinions and different ideas about what's right wrong and it's infinitely more complicated. You still have the same mechanism of falling in love but the complexities of today's society make it almost impossible for it to work. I was a hopeless romantic growing up and I often thought about this and how today's society just puts so much ridiculous garbage in the way of people getting together. Politics and everything else. Back then you could meet someone on a cruise ship, fall in love go back to your farm in bum buck no where and have kids and have a great life and be happy. In their case though in the movie they both wanted the same lifestyle. He already lived it, and she has always wanted to live it. So they're perfect for each other.

Joslynn Perez

I haven't finished the reaction yet so I don't know if it's going to be addressed but if not, It's been said that the men playing the instruments actually did end up playing until the last possible second in real life. I found that extremely sad but beautiful.

Vonnie Stewart

my FAVORITE movie for my birthday????!!!! yassssssss thank you

Ailene Evangelista

Every time the musicians start playing “Nearer My God to Thee” it’s instant waterworks for me. I’ve never seen this in theaters but I hope they rerelease it for the 30th, because I need to experience it once.

Mackenzie OReally Bravo

When I watched this as a kid (maybe I was 10) on VHS, I'll never forget how angry I was at her dropping the diamond in the ocean 😂😭

Tara ✨💫

I remember when this movie was being filmed and the release kept getting pushed back. One of the reasons it was #1 for so long is because people were going back and watching it multiple times. I remember hearing that some people saw it 5, 10 or even more times. I think I saw it twice in the theater when it came out and yes, while you guys had crushes on Kate, the ladies loved Leo. I love how old Rose said that Jack saved her in all the ways a person can be saved, she finally met someone who heard her when she said she felt like she was in the middle of a room screaming and nodody heard her. She was able to live the life that she wanted. Another piece of forshadowing that you guys didn't mention and would only be noticed on a rewatch is when old Rose contacts Bill Paxton's character and his sceptical assistant says her name was Rose Dawson and she was an actress in the 20's before she got married and changed her name to Calvert. When she first meets Jack, she introduces herself as Rose Dewitt Bukater and Jack says she'll have to write it down for him

Tara ✨💫

I'm so proud of Answer saying "That's the kid from Growing Pains" Yes, he is! I went to the same high school as Kirk Cameron from that show, we graduated the same year, 1988

Alanna Meyers 🍌

Great taste (my favourite too) and Happy Birthday :)

Karissa M

Haven't seen this movie in a minute but here we are! Great reaction as always. On the topic of foreshadowing, one thing I didn't notice until this rewatch was the part when Rose is first going through Jack's sketchbook, and he tells her the story of Madame Bijoux, the elderly woman who sat at the bar wearing all of her jewelry hoping to meet her long lost love again. Fast forward to the present day, and Rose is wearing quite a few jewelry pieces, including the Heart of the Ocean, which I think ties in nicely to the story, and ultimately wraps with Rose meeting Jack in her dreams. I also love that she's wearing white in that final shot, maybe a reference to what she could've worn had they been given the chance to get married and grow old together. Okay now I'm crying again, lol.

Annie519

It's my favorite scene in the movie! I love they just show the real people, they never cut to Jack and Rose. They show Fabrizo for a second but that's it. And that elderly couple was the founders of Macy's department store. They wouldn't let him on at first and she refused to leave him, they did eventual agree to let him on but he wouldn't take spot from a woman or child and she chose to stay with him. They were the inspiration for Jack and Rose.

Annie519

The sad thing too is, he was retiring. This was going to be his last voyage.

Annie519

Or the officer that came back with the boat was Mr. Fantastic himself, Ioan Gruffudd.

Stephanie

I was waiting for you to finally recognise Mr Fantastic/ Reed Richards. 😄 Great reaction as always, guys. Didn't have the pleasure to watch it on big screen, but even on the little screen it's still impressive.

Annie519

Titanic is one of my favorite movies, I saw it at least 7 times in the theater. I always go and see it whenever it’s re-released too and it’s still very impressive. I can’t say all the effects hold up but the majority to me does. It also helps that so much of it is practical. They built 3 different models, a 60-foot, 40-foot and a 775-foot exact replica. It was designed just like the real ship, inside and out. Cameron used real Titanic blueprints to get it down and the costumes were also very historically accurate. When the chandelier gets destroyed, it really got destroyed and he only had one shot to do it. And believe it or not, all the dead people in the water when the boat returned were all real people, no dummies or fake bodies, aside from the baby of course. James Cameron also created backstories for every one of the 150 extras, so they felt real. The musical score by James Horner is amazing. One thing I wish got more recognition is the sound editing. The sounds the ship makes when it’s sinking and breaking apart is chilling. In a way it's like the ship itself is crying or in pain. And to me that just shows how brilliant a director is when he can make a ship be a character and not only that but the main character. And I couldn't agree more about the water, they made it look like a horror monster. So, aside from Jack, Rose, Cal, her mother, Lovejoy, Fabrizo and Tommy, everyone else in the film were real people. Everyone Rose talks about at dinner were real first-class passengers. During the scene when Ismay and Captain Smith are talking about going faster you can see a woman behind them glance over and you would think that was a goof on the actress’s part, but no. That was intentional, a passenger overheard their conversation. The elderly couple in the bed were the founders of Macy’s department store, they wouldn’t let him on the lifeboat and she refused to go without him, there’s actually a deleted scene showing this and were the inspiration for Jack and Rose. The boy playing with the spinner with his father was recaptured from a photo. And probably my favorite detail is, all the flashback scenes is a runtime of 2 hours 40 minutes and that is exactly how long it took the Titanic to sink and also the moment they see the iceberg to when it hits is 47 seconds and again that’s how long it took for it to hit in real life. I’ve been fascinated with the real ship ever since I saw this movie, lol. Honestly, I only have a few complaints. One is, some of the people were not historically accurate and the real families were pretty upset by, like Murdock and a couple of others. Molly Brown was also way more of a hero then they have her be in this. She tried but not that hard. I do wish too that they had captured more people that were very heroic that night. Like, the crew that kept the lights on for a long as they did, they wouldn't leave and did everything they could to keep them on and I can't remember his name but there was a man that was sending the S.O.S to the other ships and he did this the whole time, he wouldn't leave even after the Captain told him to save himself. But I also understand that they can't showcase everyone. But lastly, they have Jack and Rose say their names WAY too much. It is all the time, they can't say a line without their name being said with it, lol.

Marie RammGirl

I haven't seen this movie since my teens, but a very memorable movie. LOVED your reactions to all the well known lines & scenes & your pop reactions when Wisconsin was mentioned, the laughter over Quinn with the silver cutlery comment & nice Michael Flatley impressions there Answer/Oak. 😄 Also did everyone take your 3 shots over Answer's 'Cruise ship' Oak's 'Disney On Ice' & Quinn's "I Don't Remember' banter teasing was so funny there. 😂 They did a good job of portraying how bored/unhappy Rose was with her high class life & it's more evident when she attends the Irish Jig party, she's so happy & free to be herself. Them closing down the doors with the engine coal workers escaping always terrifies me no matter how many times ya see it, the visuals/sound design for the total devastation of the water is just breathtakingly terrifying & makes ya feel on edge watching the whole time, the Orchestra playing while seeing everyone's perspective of how they're dealing with the situation will ALWAYS be a poignant moment, as when the boat comes back for any survivors is just heartwrenching. My personal take on her throwing the necklace in the Ocean is cause of the necklace's name & it's where Jack passed away, so it's a symbolic way of saying her heart belongs to Jack forever & it finds its way back to him as we saw in her final dream there.

Amaia

I wasn't even born yet, lol

Juley

And yet he keeps you riveted the entire time!

Juley

Or that the Irish woman putting the kids to bed while the boat sank was Vasquez in Aliens!

Maria

never fails to make me cry. never. fails. 🥲 one of the best movies of all time.

Juley

Now I have to go rewatch Bowen Yang play “the iceberg” on SNL!! ;-)

Jacqueline (xXMalaaaXx YT)

I watched this for the first time at home in 2012 on free to air TV for the 100th anniversary of the sinking and Florence and the Machine's song 'Never Let Me Go' was made for the promotion. I recorded it on the DVR and watched it over and over, definitely sparked my love and fascination of Titanic. The movie is incredible, I loved your reactions! I hope I get to watch it in its full scope in the cinema one day, maybe next year for the 30th anniversary!

Jo

I really hope they decide to watch Downton Abbey, this convinced me even more that they would love it!

Kalkent

Saw this at 15 for the first time. Romance is my least fav genre so I was never the target audience for this film - and only watched it because the sheer popularity of the film. Suffice to say I didn't enjoy it and was bored to tears...for the first 2 hours at least. Despite that, even as a burgeoning lover of movie making in my teens I was blown away by the technical craftsmanship that went into crafting this movie. No one, not even Spielberg in my opinion, can tell story through action like Cameron can. The scale, tension, emotion - man is a genius when it comes to that.

enyo96

God I LOVE this movie so much🥹❤️ it’s just such a classic. Also I’ve seen it way too many times and I’ve always thought the shot of them running down the hall with the water coming looked a little off. Look at Kate and Leo’s faces….it’s always looked slightly off to me lol I’m glad Answer pointed it out because hardly anybody does! What does everyone else think? To me I think they rendered their faces onto their body doubles for the shot. Just my opinion though. BUT I will say it doesn’t take away from how amazing the shot is and how well done this movie was filmed. My favorite movie of all time❤️

Kaley

As tragic as this story is, I really enjoyed how they made the ship itself, the iceberg and the ocean itself their own characters. The family of Bruce Ismay was upset that the film depicted him as this “villain” who ordered the ship to speed up and then got into a lifeboat to “save his own skin” in a sense…really interesting. I live in Massachusetts near Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, and they were the first to go down to find the wreckage if I’m not mistaken-pretty cool. We have a whole Titanic museum there!

Kaley

Yes-that story is fascinating. Although technically alcohol actually lowers your body temperature…so it’s a miracle he survived.

Kaley

The phrase, “2 days away from retirement” hits differently in this case…

Kaley

I remember reading that! So cool!

Kaley

The choice to overlay the melancholy, sad orchestra music with scenes of sheer chaos and panic too was so powerful IMO.

Esther K

Saw this many times, and I just realized from watching with you all, Rose's first words to Jack is, "Stay back .... I'll let go." While her final words to him were, "Come back ... I'll never let go." 😭

Amaia

Jack wanted to live, Rose wanted to die. Jack died for Rose, Rose lived for Jack.

kimmy

Shoot it still makes me mad today and I'm 33 lol

Kyle

Arise,Arise riders of Théodon!!

BeckyB00b

Desperate for them to start Dowton, having recently binged it for the first time.

MarisoL

So now that you guys have watched this, Downton Abbey is next right? lol

Megan the Librarian

Yes! Two tapes! And I still remember the exact spot where I had to take out tape one and put in tape two. It was right after he says, "I believe you may get your headlines, Mr. Ismay." 😄 And then I had to decide if I was going to do my future self a favor by rewinding the first tape before I started the second one... or if I was impatient and wanted to move directly into the second half. 😂

Kiss the Librarian

The special effects are so impressive for the time. They spent a lot of hours on this. The OMSI museum in Portland has an exhibit now through October with artifacts from the Titanic along with a VR experience.

Diablos Cafe

Oh wow I didn’t even see that in The lineup for this month, definitely can’t wait for that

Josie

Man I'm not gonna lie. This movie is especially hard for me to watch now that I've learned about the Sewol Ferry incident. There are some prevalent similarities between the two especially during the ship going down part so I was extra emotional during it but it was definitely nice to watch through the movie again as it had been quite awhile.

pumpkincarvingjen (¬ ´ཀ` )¬

I'm from Belfast where the Titanic was built, if you haven't been you should look up the Belfast City Skyline. The Harland and Wolff shipyard cranes used to build it are still a major feature of our skyline. The Titanic Museum is there too which has been designed to look like the hull of a ship and an iceberg. It's right next to Titanic film studios which used to be part of the shipyard as the paint hall facility. It is where most of the indoor scenes of Game of Thrones were shot. They chose the space because it’s 90ft high and that let them have space to rig the lighting for the throne room :)

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

I’m sobbing every freaking time throughout the second half of this movie, and this time with you was no exception. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were perfect in it. I’m in love with their love story, and their ending hits me every single time — in my teens, in my 20s, and now in my 30s too!

Miya

I haven’t seen this movie from beginning to end since I watched it in theaters as a little kid. My best friend’s mom took us without my parents knowing and my parents were LIVID lol. I honestly was to frightened to watch it in its entirety in later years, so I would end the movie just after the love scene with Jack and Rose. I’m honestly glad I decided to watch the whole thing with you guys. What a ride! It’s been an honor and a privilege gents. 🫡🚢💙

Miya

Happy belated birthday my Taurus sister! ♉️🎉

Luna

It still pisses me off that Rose didn't get on the lifeboat. If she had, Jack would've probably found a way to survive, but instead he had to focus most of his survival energy at the end taking care of her useless butt

Sarah✨️

I was 9 and not allowed to see it in theaters. Luckily at a sleepover at my friends house, I did! I've loved it ever since. Probably seen it easy 100 times. Never gets old. It's great.

MaddieB

This is my “The Notebook”. Truly a masterpiece and I’m sad I was too young when it first came out, would have loved to have experienced that 🥰

Belinda🩶

Watched this reaction last night and didn’t get to sleep till almost gone 3am this morning 😁 loved the reaction to my favourite film! I would love it if you reacted to Romeo and Juliet next with Leo in it? X

4f cigarette burn

Ah yes, isn't this the film that romanticises cheating? Even in her old dying days she recalled the fling she had on that one ship that everyone died on as her favourite memory.
