To his credit I love that he wasted no time proposing once he knew she felt the same! Yessss THE carriage scene, you will always be famous. A scene that went so viral you can look it up just with that description and Bridgerton pops up. As a Pen stan, it’s so rewarding seeing her get the guy she always loved and start to embrace herself instead of hiding away. All the wallflowers can relate. Also seeing Colin realize that being liked by people isn’t worth it if you aren’t being yourself. I’m a sucker for a well done friends to lovers and that’s why I love them and this season. 💜

I think your reactions to Bridgerton may be my one of my favorite all time reactions to any show from any reactor period. Your enthusiasm and genuine enjoyment is infectious, and it’s making me fall in love with Bridgerton all over again. I actually struggled with season 3 when it originally aired, but watching it with you guys has made the season feel new. So thank you for that. Also I’m quite jealous that you’ll be able to dive right into the next episodes. Netflix now splits the seasons into two, so we had to wait for the second half of this season and season 4.

The thing with Lord Debling is he wanted a practical match. He did not care for love. But he did not want to risk Pen if she had feelings for Colin, especially when he could see Colin loved her. This is for two reasons. He would want Penelope happy and letting her go would allow her a chance of a love match, something i'm sure she wanted when she had asked if he could ever love her even with him being away. The other thing to look at is society. Take a look at Sir Henry Granville who, married to Lucy, is also in a secret relationship with Lord Wetherby. Within the ton, Henry and Lucy act as any respectable married couple. This provides them the protection of society but the freedom they want outside of the ton. They can have those crazy parties where Lucy is free to do as she pleases and Henry can be with his lover. In the eyes of the ton, while it is known sometimes men have their mistresses who are not of social status, it would reflect poorly if Pen married Lord Debling but cheated on him with Colin, and even if she didn't cheat and stayed faithful, Lord Debling will be gone a lot and wouldn't want that worry. He would want someone who has no interest in love (funnily enough I feel someone like Eloise who doesn't care would work but not Eloise of course) or at least someone who wouldn't mind finding love outside society. Also I can see why Mason Quinn thought Francesca would "drop" Kilmartin like she did the others. Especially when she turned around and told her mother no she was not interested in him after he ran off. She only considered him again when he handed her the music sheet and he explained why he ran off.

The most difficult thing this whole season was making that clock go around so quiet that a soundperson wasn’t going to be angry with me.” I’m new here & your reactions are entertaining. It’s funny to see your group dynamic - Oak is the romantic, Mason goes for the practicality of it all & Diamond Dave is just amused by the debates & offers his insights & fact checks to bridge the two😊. DD - I’m pleased to see you loving Colin’s pirate coat w/the blue shirt! It’s iconic in the fandom & his style was impeccable for the season as you all have noticed❤️.

DD nearly spilling his drink over Queen Charlottes "Lemonade" & his "Sensations" comment & others reactions to it was amusing. Agree with community folks that Bridgerton reactions are a favourite highlight of our week, we LOVE how invested you all in the storyline/characters & that you dressed up for us too (despite how distractingly ravishing Quinn looks in his fancy frilly shirt while trying to watch hehe)

When I tell you, hearing Oak say "who hasn't messed around in the backseat of the Uber" and seeing DD and MQ's reactions to that sent me to the moon! I choked on my water laughing lol. Oak and MQ debating Francesca and Kilmartin's relationship in the Episode 4 outro is also cracking me up. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I read Francesca and Lord Kilmartin as neurodivergent and I think their connection is so sweet. It's so special to find someone who just gets you without you having to explain yourself. 🥹 Anyway, I'm very glad you all are enjoying this season! I feel like so many fans panned it, but I really enjoy it as a Penelope stan.

In romance novels like the Bridgerton books, a society widow like Lady Arnold might not want to remarry. You marry and the new husband is in charge of your money. Stay single and you could have discreet lovers as long as you weren't too flashy with it. You've done your job already: getting married and maybe having kids. And these noble families have two sets of assets: entailed (tied to the land grant and follows the title) or unentailed (personal family wealth). If a man dies and the assets are all entailed, the woman better have a son or remarry quickly. Otherwise, she's vulnerable like the Featheringtons were. If they have personal wealth, the woman might inherit even without kids. Lord Debling couldn't afford to have a wife making babies with someone else, which is what he meant. He doesn't want to risk having his family title pass to a secret Bridgerton.

Ep 4 notes: The conversations between Lady Bridgerton and whichever one of her children is dealing with love are always some of my favorite moments in every season! And her convo with Colin in this episode was no exception, because the former Viscountess is always the one gently pushing her children toward love match. 36:10 — “Is your heart located in your breeches?” from Lady Danbury was a top-tier line! 44:16 Oak: “RUN! GET ON THE HORSE! GET ON THE FUCKING HORSE AND CHASE THE CARRIAGE DOWN!” He is always such a mood during scenes like this! And seeing all three of you so invested in the romantic storyline is such a pleasure. Every week, your Bridgerton reactions bring me a lot of joy! “Who hasn’t messed around in the back seat of an Uber?” at 48:46, and the looks MQ and DD gave Oak, were priceless hahahha 49:09 — “Penelope is like our sister. I can’t be watching this.” Those words were so relatable! I’m sure a lot of people felt the same way. But DD’s struggle during the carriage scene was very entertaining to watch hahaa 58:50 — the argument that started from this moment between Oak and MQ was iconic as always! And DD sitting on the side just laughing sent me 🤣 But the peak was at 1:02:45 when Oak slammed his head against the table 🤣🤣🤣

I think the og comment comes from a place of the social context of this season's release. A lot of people were very harsh regarding the actress' appearance and it led to a sensitivity in a lot of people. 'Sister' was often used as a justification for the fat-shaming going on. We know what you meant though.

Guys, Francesca is not a mystery Bridgerton lol. She was in the show since the beginning, but the original actress was recast due to other projects. Hannah Dodd (current Francesca) has one of the most elegant and graceful looks ever and she fits into the Bridgerton family SO well. I'm actually glad the original actress was replaced, no disrespect to her. As an introvert who hates crowded gatherings, I relate to her so hard on leaving for some quiet time. John having a piece of music recomposed to the exact tempo she likes is literally one of the most romantic things I've seen, in this show and in general. I also love music and the arts and would pretty much fall in love if someone did that for me. Does anyone else find the balloon scene dumb? This is still my favorite season along with S1, but I wish they shot it differently. Even considering the shock factor, no one would stand still for that long or keep walking backwards if a balloon was slowly coming at them...you would run off to the side to get away. "Feelings like dreaming of you when I'm asleep, and in fact preferring sleep because that is where I might find you" Colin, where did you pull that romantic of a line from?! One of the most iconic lines from this season. I actually don't care for Cressida's plot or character at all...I can't stand any of these mean girl characters who bully and make others feel small just bc of their own issues. There's no excuse for treating others poorly, no matter what trauma or insecurities you have. I know her character is supposed to add comedy but she's just annoying to me.

I agree about the balloon scene, I get where they were coming from but they shot it all wrong. The idea was that Penelope was too distracted by Colin playing hero that she forgot to move. I think it would’ve made more sense for the camera to focus on Penelope looking like she’s in a trance, then on Colin with maybe some slo-mo (the way they do when the Bridgertons are staring at their LI’s lips lol), then have that trance be broken by Debling pushing her out of the way.

Francisca is also an introvert like John, but she’s a Bridgerton. As Daphne said, something about them requires a person who challenges them/passion. 😄the way Oak looked to the side when MQ mentioned Francisca not interested in John was hilarious.
