We're back, baby! LFG! I'm also really going to miss MQ saying "Jimmy King!"

I thought Quinn/Oak would've given a look to Diamond Dave when Sugar said about "DD watching Sophie" hehe. Fascinating watching how everyone deals with the stress of everything going wrong, agree that Carmy has elevated them well to deal with situations like this, how calm Richie is doing his thing, Tina being an emotional support pillow for everyone & Carmy being an Onion Master. There was alot of metaphors/symbolism in these episodes, that drain blocking & pipes bursting telling us that this final season is going to be as chaotic as previous ones. (YAY for the Heat movie poster, loved seeing that) 😎

Did McDonalds sponsor the first episode? I have never had a McGriddle either, lol.

I realized after watching the first episode of S5 that the special episode "Gary" was entirely unnecessary to the show's plot progression. To be clear, I thought "Gary" was fantastic and I really liked it, but if I hadn't watched it and just skipped ahead to S5E1, I wouldn't have felt lost at all. The last scene in "Gary" makes it seem like Richie's car accident would potentially be a huge plot-altering event for the final season, but it was basically nothing. If they had written the first episode of S5 exactly the same but removed the brief scene of Richie getting into a car accident and the two or three lines of dialogue about it, it wouldn't have had any meaningful impact on the episode whatsoever. By the end of S5E1, you're not even thinking about Richie having gotten into a minor car accident earlier in the episode (minor in the sense that he didn't appear to have sustained any physical injuries, though his car was almost certainly totalled). Anyway, like I said, I really did enjoy "Gary" - but you don't actually need to have watched it to get into S5. It was very much a bottle episode.
