Disappointing season tbh got no resolution or anything on carmy or Claire she was literally only in like 2 seconds of the season

Re: Episode 7 - He actually grabbed what he had marked as the 97 the first time, then second guessed his initial evaluation and grabbed the one marked 99. The one he grabbed the second time had a loop at the top but the other had a straight line, I know they looked sort of similar, but he was just worried he had gotten it wrong since this guy knows it so well and he's Starman. I forgot how this was the second part of the dead mom tear up for me, and Syd just dropped it so casually. Hit me hard, yet again. I've finished episode 7, headed into 8 now. Time for the wrap-up! I hope you paid close attention to Ebra's final words, on the phone with Albert.

You don't always get the perfect resolution on everything. Sometimes, things are left up to your imagination. They set up the options for you to think about. This season wasn't about his relationship with Claire. It was about the restaurant and the family involved there. This was the most beautiful ending, the season was wonderful in how they used 7 episodes to run us through a day, and then 1 to wrap it all up and push everybody on their trajectories forward.

Man I felt that "As you wish" moment as hard as Oak did. Actually had to pause the episode on my first watch, it hit me right in the feels. 😢

I think the lens flares were, for once, used for a symbolism reason that made sense. Everyone is rising like the sun at one point or another in this season, so they get a lens flare to show that they've reached a zenith.

DTGstl314

I think it's pretty heavily suggested that they wind up back together.

Yeah a lot of ppl ship Carmy and Sydney so I agree with DD about that ‘ tease ‘ when he held her face lol that’s why Pete said to Donna there’s ‘ theories ‘ about them dating. The producers knew what they were doing lol.

Episode 8: I'm so glad you caught that, Oak. It was the perfect sendoff to Rob's memory on this show, and I cried when it happened cause it was just awesome of them to slip it in there. This episode is the perfect epilogue to the whole series. I loved it. This season did not disappoint. To me, none of them did. I'm happy that you guys started watching the show as it kicked my ass into watching it and it has brought me a lot of joy. Y'all are awesome.

Eboe Thrasher

I had no doubts about them being back together, at all.

Eboe Thrasher

I cried the first time but they had already been gut punching me with all of the dead mom stuff, i was crying at both things as another member of the dead mom club.

Eboe Thrasher

I love it because they seemed more than happy to nod at fan theories or have characters outright address them in universe. But not in a confrontational way, which is always good.

We Brits pronounce it like "Ca-re-mel" I agree I think Eps 7 was my favourite out of this whole season, the precision everyone carries out, they ran service like a well oiled machine & kept calm & pushing through even with the hiccups they had, like how everyone was involved with the dish, the chefs who make it, the ones who plate & the servers who tell a story with it, especially when they used Tina's/Sydney's dishes to save the day, it shows how far they've all come from Season 1. Allan (the folding napkins guy) was great levity, liked your reactions to it (aswell as your reactions to everything else) also Liked your Eps 7 post review discussion between Quinn/Oak talking about how cool it'd be to be part of something they're really into. There was ALOT of heartfelt moments in finale, especially between Richie/Carmy in freezer, will admit they got me too for a second with the door, everyone poured their hearts out in their one on one conversations & they ended it in a wonderful way with everyone there enjoying cake, my favourite characters were Richie/Jimmy, Richie for his character development/transformation throughout the seasons, went from hot headed brute, to the king of winging it frontman & Jimmy purely for his witty 1 liners & your reactions to them 😆 It's been an intense but very entertaining time with you guys on this show, now to finish this comment, "GIMME A SHARPIE!!" 😄

There is one huge glaring continuity error on the show that I think at some point the writers just decided, "fuck it, we're just not gonna worry about it not making sense"... Eva Jerimovich. More precisely, Eva Jerimovich's age on the show. She celebrates her 8th birthday during the series finale, which takes place sometime in the fall of 2023. The problem is... she was born in January 2019 - the day after the special episode "Gary" took place. We know this because Richie told Sugar the story of Eva's birth in S3E7, right before the episode she gave birth to Sophie (S3E8 Ice Chips). Eva was born the day after he took his work trip with Mikey, and he stayed home all day the next day because Tiff was pissed at him for getting back so late. They went and got Thai food and then she went into labor. The first time we hear about Eva was in S1E2, when Richie and Syd are leaving the hardware store after buying caulk and Richie talks to Eva on the phone. After he gets off the phone, Syd asks how old his daughter is, and he responds, "She's five. Like Carmy. Food & Wine's Best New Dickhead". Anyway... Eva wasn't even born yet in the flashback that happened in January 2019, but she's five years old at the beginning of the series, which takes place in June 2022, and she turns eight years old in the fall of 2023 (when it should actually be taking place in January 2027). Makes no sense. I guess Chris Storer is as bad at math as Carmy.

I don't know if you guys picked up on this, but S5 is the only season in The Bear's entire run in which not a single popular song was licensed for the show - the entire musical background is the original score produced by Hans Zimmer. Also, the last three episodes of S4 all take place over the same day, and the first seven episodes of S5 all take place over the very next day. More than 20% of the show's entire run (10 out of 47 episodes) occurs in the span of less than 48 hours.

Sydney's Coke ribs go all the way back to the first season - she pitched them to Carmy when the restaurant was still The Beef as a potential new menu item, he tried them and he said they were tremendous but not perfect, and then she left them with a random diner who turned out to be a food critic who wrote up a glowing review of them. Ebra was reading the review of her Coke ribs out loud at the beginning of the chaotic one-shot episode titled "Review" (S1E7), when Syd accidentally left the pre-order system open overnight, they got slammed, and she and Marcus quit in the middle of a service from hell.

I cannot believe how many people read the final episode of this as Carmy still leaving the bear.

Definitely recommend the movie Bottoms with Ayo, Rachel Sennot and Marshawn Lynch. It was a surprise but hilarious!
