IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ALL DAY YES!!!!!

Tella

I can't believe Lestat himself will react to this episode, what an honor

Alanna Meyers 🍌

I don’t watch this show but I had to go see the wig everyone was talking about. Amazing 🤣

Jakhiraj✨

Oak please, this damn wig I can’t stop laughing 😭

MandaM

The "Sam ♥️" 🤣

Kyle

Answer COOKED on that "ITSSSSS TIMEEE"

Kare

For me, episodes 1 - 6 were a perfect 5.0, the finale didn't quite hit it for me, but even a slightly off episode of this series is a 4.9 so I'm not complaining. I'd still give the season as a whole a 5.0 because why the hell not?

rin

The scene with Louis and armand was so tense (as always with armand) but I was bawling when louis apologized

Tella

Answering your question from the end of the video, Rolin has said several times that this is the first of two parts of the story they want to tell about Lestat, so if they renew it for a fourth season, we will certainly have another season of Lestat, just like IWTV parts 1 and 2.

Miss Freaky

Mr. Oak - love the hair!! 😊 I too, was worried about this episode, but fear not, the creators and every one else involved did a marvelous job. The whole series is an absolute joy!! I don't want this show/series to end. Lol, I tell ya the amount of times I had to rewind on scenes bc the dialogue was heavy, this episode commanded your attention, and I was ready, willing and able to listen/watch! 😝

Laura O

Oak looks amazing!! I love your reactions of the whole season ♥️

Marie RammGirl

oh wow! was NOT expecting THAT look from Oak haha! but gotta admit it suits him!. What a disturbing finale that was! those scenes with Lestat/Louis was unsettling, but good to see Lestat 'Turn The Tables' so to speak, liked your reactions "Play Long Face" & "Making Armends" lines hehe, alot of insight we got here & quite the eye opening ending aswell! been a bloody good time watching this with you guys & keep hissing at Quinn Answer in future hehe.

Grace G

THE WAY I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW THE WIG. Absolutely incredible. I'm so glad you guys enjoyed this season and your reactions have given me so much joy throughout. Thank you so much as always!!!

hypocritex

Armand was not trying to stop the Great Conversion.. He basically says so himself.. this whole ruse was to get Louis to say sorry.. The Great Conversion wasn't close to his primary motivator. Punishing Louis and Lestat.. and getting the apology. Were 1st and 2nd on his motivator list.

Feather Noir

I personally think something to do with the GC or with Raglan/Talamasca is maybe third on his list but, yeah, top priority here was personal stuff with his exes. The presence of his new cult, Alex, and Fareed makes me think there's more going on than he wants to talk about which we'll see in S4.

Han

Great reaction as always, guys! I love how much you all love this show <3 I had to 2x the post-ep discussion since I'm meant to be writing my MA dissertation so sorry if you guys did pick up on this and I just didn't hear! -- When Louis starts talking about "you were 12" with Armand, it's a reference to S2E4 when Armand tells Louis about his history in the Louvre, as a slave, in a brothel, and Marius purchasing him from the brothel. Armand, in the show (it's been a while since I read "The Vampire Armand" so cannot be sure if he was 12 there too), was 12 when all this started happening to him. Same with Marius at the long table when he mentioned "romps with my rotten boy" -- Marius assaulted Armand a LOT but (at least in the books) Armand does not view those times as violence. It seems, in the show, Armand recognises what happened to him wasn't okay but he struggles to reconcile it, hence he gets emotional when Louis brings it up and ends the livestream to Budapest. Especially as it seems he still has feelings for Marius (keeping the painting by him in Dubai and the fond (if bittersweet) way he speaks of Marius in 204). Louis is saying Armand has reason to be "dark-sided" and says (obviously, admittedly under duress) that he could have treated Armand better, and that he saw good in him. It's a very complicated and bittersweet moment of Louis acknowledging what Armand went through and suggesting that he can become "good" despite all he went through, and apologising for not being able to be the person Armand could have started healing with (arguably through minimal fault of his own after everything Armand did to him, Claudia, and Madeleine and his continued deception in Dubai -- which Armand implies was for his own survival (i.e. he relies on having a companion and someone with him to ensure his survival and his sanity -- in the books Armand's greatest fear is going insane from his immortal existence)). I only explain this because it looked like there was some confusion amongst you guys during the scene and, as I said, I didn't hear anything about it during the post-ep discussion :) If anyone would like to reply to correct or discuss I only ask for polite tones, please! I know fans have a lot of strong opinions about this scene and I've tried to convey only my interpretations and nuances as best as I can right now :) Also personally obligated to push my "The Newsreader" agenda now that this season is over 😋 It'll help with Oak's Sam Reid withdrawals... promise!

MandaM

I don't know if it was mentioned here but Paul is actually speaking to God (God is a woman♥️) Paul is symbolically Lestats St Peter (or even Clarence Oddbody, It's a Wonderful Life) . New interviews came out last night if anyone's is interested in the details they put in this ep

Lau

Truly loved watching your reaction to this season! As a Lestat lover, I was extremely happy with this season. The writers did an amazing job with the first half of TVL, they also mixed a lot of elements from the other books and it worked very well for me. It’s also a 5/5 for me. Can’t wait to see what they do in part 2 if, they do get the green light (I believe they do). A lot of questions will be answered later, Rolin Jones said so. Also Akasha will bring a lot of destruction as we can see at the end of this finale so that’s pretty exciting. If you want to watch more Sam Reid please watch/react to The Newsreader 😉 PS : Love the wig Oak lol

A

Oak rocking that wig! Also couldn't agree more with the Sam Reid love. He's been extraordinary this season (every season); so much emotional range and yet all those highs and lows always feeling like part of the same character. Are you going to react to the Lestat One Night Only concert coming August 23rd? Please do!

Marcela Garay

I think this is not the great conversion, it’s the Queen destruction 🧐

Rena Unnie

I enjoyed a lot this episode with all the dream sequence! Having Fraudia agreeing easily to play Claudia's role makes more sense to me now! Of course Armand's scenes are always amazing. And I didn't read the book but perharps the big whole vampire fight didn't happen yet. Is there another season? Perharps, they are keeping this for the next one!

A

I think oak should keep the wig, looking good! Loved this season, I think it might be my favourite so far. Hopefully we get a season 4 soon. Thanks for reacting and making me laugh.

Gayle McGowan

Rewatch the bowling alley scene with Raglan again guys. They stated they want The Great Conversion to happen to help save the planet from overpopulation. They don't think Vampires are capable of working together to form a government and rule anything afterward so aren't concerned with what comes after the initial population decline.

Gayle McGowan

No spoilers but - As for the answers about how everyone is the way they are at the beginning of episode 1, that will not be found until season 4 possible season 5. TVL season 1 is only the first half of the book so think of it as part one. The Queen of the Damned book does overlap with TVL events current timeline a bit so there will be elements woven into season 4 most likely. Don't know if by the end of season 4 we will have all the answers but we'll definitely know a lot more than we do now. Not to worry, renewal will be announced at SDCC guaranteed.

Cody Book

Certainly didn’t expect a Fort Wayne Indiana shoutout in this show 😂

🦇

gonna ask again for newsreader to be the next show to replace tvl to wade you guys over with some more sam reid, and also they’re releasing a cut of his real life concert he did in character as lestat on AMC on the 23rd august. i would love to see you react to that too !! oak you’re the goat, by the way😭

Marcela Garay

HOPE SO!!! I NEED SEASON 4 SO MUCH!

MandaM

SECOND THIS! it's really good and Sam is of course incredible especially in the last season

Miss Freaky

Oh btw - Oak's hair reminded me of the kid actor in Little Rascals, if Oak was wearing a brunette wig , they'd be the same! 😝

Sia Bak

Let me rant a bit :D What annoys, and even disappoints me at times, is how often people seem to reduce these characters to a simple choice: either excuse them completely or write them off entirely. “Forgive or condemn.” Every character has done horrific things. Every one of them is bad by human standards. Louis is bad. Lestat is bad. Armand is bad. They’re all murderers. They aren’t characters you’re supposed to dismiss as just “monsters” with no depth or background. The point is that none of them are perfect villains or perfect heroes. I believe that the more people let go of the need to categorize everyone as simply “good” or “evil,” “white” or “black,” and simply let them be “gray,” the more peace, pain, and enjoyment the show will bring them. So, if you find yourself capable of empathizing with Lestat, Louis, or Claudia, but completely incapable of doing the same for Armand, I encourage you to think it over once more. :) There’s a universe of difference between “condoning and reinforcing” someone’s actions and understanding, or at least seeing, where a character is coming from. Feeling sympathy, hatred, and even love for the same character is a far more nuanced approach :) Great reaction as always. The wig is amazing! Thank you for the ride guys!

Alex

I love Oak's Lestatification, one of us!!! The destruction at the end is not the vampires vs humans it's extreme like that because of a certain powerful queen....

Alex

Also please consider watching The Newsreader next, Sam Reid and Anna Torv are absolutely magnificent it is such an excellent award winning series

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

Oak wearing a Lestat-lookalike wig is iconic! 😂 Oak's judgmental look toward MQ and Answer at 19:33 was so relatable! And then there was the ultimate "I told you so" stare at 31:13 when Louis told Armand, "The love of my life was him." 34:24 — “Look at how fucked up Armand is. He is just the worst.” — I second that! The peak of it was him carving an "A" into Louis's chest. What an obsessive monster! And Oak is so real for saying during post-discussion that Sam Reid is his biggest male crush! Totally deserved. 👏👏👏

Knightmare

He's running multiple agendas but it's cannon both in book and in the show that he's extremely anti-conversion. Showrunners have confirmed so also. I think maybe in the show they are going to portray him as having lower confidence in being able to avoid it, though, which is why he's doing f all and just getting his personal errands done

Courtney

I'm usually more of a silent observer here, but I just want to say that I have absolutely loved your IWTV and TVL reactions! I really appreciated your in-depth thoughts on each episode! Also, I really love the wig😂 If you would ever consider reacting to any bonus content for this show, AMC+ has a lot of stuff including the After Dark episodes, the making of the seasons for s1, 2 & presumably 3, and on August 23rd they are releasing the recording of the TVL live concert from the NY Premier where Sam preformed live in character! Can't wait for S4🩷

Tasia Barrett

I hope you gents will consider reacting to the season 4 Comic Con teaser. :)

Miya

I'm late to the party but WOW what a ride gang! Everyone involved in the making of this show is playing at the top of their game and it shows. Thank you for continuing to react to this series, it's been so fun watching these episodes alongside you guys. This reaction channel truly feels like a safe space in so many ways. 💖 ETA: I just want to give Ms. Jennifer Ehle her flowers because I feel like her performance constantly gets overlooked because people take issue with her character (understandably so) and there are also so many wonderful performance happening simultaneously. 💐

Shay

Guys I appreciate you all so much seriously. I truly think you are the best reactors in this app and I felt it even more during this wild season. You always share your thoughts and have a lot to say and I just appreciate it so much. Thank you to the 4 of you you guys are amazing ❤️❤️
