Mackenzie OReally Bravo

The way I was about to cry at some points during this movie cuz it felt SO SAD

Hazzel

Yesss!!! I never clicked so fast

enyo96

get ready for the journey that is toy story!!!! best animated movie series ever imo.

Cal

Sorry but if you remove the first few mins of Up, it’s a dumb movie full of inconsistencies. It’s not even in the same realm as Toy Story.

Unholy Tater

I think this will be a fun ride!

Gemma Christine

Yay! I was born in 95 so Toy Story is literally my childhood! It holds up so strong and amazing that they are still going and it’s been 30 years. I can’t wait to re watch them all with you guys!

Colton

yes it was THE Steve Jobs. He purchased the computer graphics division of Lucas Films in the mid 80s and turned it into Pixar, and I believe he was CEO until Disney acquired Pixar in the 2000s.

Mo

yayyy

Amy ✰

Excited for Toy Story franchise 😁

Lorcán

Made my day with this lads

Emily Barron

I can’t wait to see this reaction because Toy Story has always been my favorite film since I was younger and my favorite Toy Story series films are Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 I absolutely love those movies so much they will always be my favorite and I remember watching Toy Story 4 when it came out in 2019 and I enjoyed watching that one, but it wasn’t my favorite out of the other three movies and the movie that I haven’t seen yet is Toy Story 5 and I know it already released in the theaters but I think I might just wait for them to release it for streaming

Mackenzie OReally Bravo

I never enjoyed the rest of Up 😅 the first scene is stand alone excellence, but I don't really care for the rest tbh

Mari Vaz

First time watching this one in english for me, but watched a million times in portuguese as a child. Def one of my favorites of all time

Lauren

This is one of the few movie franchises that never disappoints. Each movie is excellent. And Sid definitely is on some type of watch list, lol.

Jessie Green

Y'all are so good at recognizing voices! It's always so impressive!

So it wasn’t just pretty good animation for ‘95, it was literally the first feature length computer animated film ever made. It was completely revolutionary and changed animated film forever. The movie’s history is almost as interesting as the movie itself, and the fact that it was pioneering a technology alone probably would have been enough of a boost to generate interest in it, but instead of coasting on that they still put every effort into the filmmaking and I think it is genuinely perfect. Great script, great jokes, memorable characters, perfectly paced, and emotional enough without being overly saccharine to still resonate with kids and adults thirty years later. Love this movie, loved the reaction, can’t wait for more next week!

Kyra Brown

A straight classic can’t wait to get into this franchise with you guys 💯❤️

luvbug

I’ve always thought Up was overrated. People have always ever only talked about the first few minutes and nothing else about the rest of the movie ever.

Maisie

Right?? Wild!

Rena Unnie

I love the friendly twist and turn in TS1 lmao.

Stephen Hert

The first three movies are peak. Toy story four and five were pretty good by themselves. I really enjoyed them. I thought Toy story five had a really good lesson in it.

SD

I was expecting a single FTW at most, all but Answer is crazy, but highly welcome!

Matthew Glover

I wouldnt say its dumb, but its definitely overrated in my opinion. I agree, the opening sequence with him and his wife,up until they fly away is a masterpiece. They start so strong, but then for me it just loses focus and gets way too silly and all over the place. The whole arc with the dogs and all that,it just got so boring for me. The story and message is still solid, but what they actually chose to do with the movie and the journey is just weird and not that funny. Im sure its amazing to young children though. But i wouldve loved to see a different version of UP.

Kelly Melvin

I don’t think it’s a dumb movie, but it’s overrated for sure. It’s just a very average movie. Not in the same realm of Toy Story at all imo

Toy Story Easter egg for Stephen King/horror fans: the carpet in Sid’s house in the hallway is The Shining carpet. Can’t wait for next week for my favourite Toy Story 🥳

Alanna Meyers 🍌

I agree Mackenzie. The montage in the beginning was good but I didn’t find the rest of it enjoyable.

Alanna Meyers 🍌

Hey, born in 95 too! Love the Toy Story movies, definitely brings back so many childhood memories

unreliable narrator

I really love that in 96’ Buzz Lightyear would’ve been a toy that represented the future of toys to come so i love the juxtaposition of Woody being a cowboy (the past) with a drawstring on his back and Buzz being a space ranger (the future) with updated technology and automated wings! Buzz having an existential crisis that shatters his self esteem in the middle of the movie is just incredible writing this movie is timeless 💛

Charlie

I know you probably didn’t recognize the name from the credits, but Sid was voiced by Erik von Detten, aka douchecanoe Josh Bryant from the first The Princess Diaries (though obviously Toy Story came out first). He has a bunch of Disney credits, if I remember correctly

Rawaby 1204

I am surprised that three out of four haven’t watched it before ! So glad we could start the journey of Toy Story reactions for the first time, and it’s even better having one member to be a huge fan , they way Answer was super happy during the movie was so precious

Maisie

I haven't watched this movie through in years; it's soooo good. And the animation of the toys is still awesome.

Alanna Meyers 🍌

I’ve bawled watching the part before the party where Andy is playing with Woody and spinning in the chair. Cause it just reminds me I’ll never be a kid again 😭

Day 1 of asking badd medicine to watch blue eye samurai on Netflix 👀

Tara ✨💫

I was in my early 20's when this movie came out, but I remember very clearly how myself and other people reacted to this Pixar style of animation. I believe it was the first one and nobody had seen anything like it before.

Rajat Kumar

Yes, THE STEVE JOBS, he was a co-founder of Pixar Animations

Tara ✨💫

Speaking of Home Improvement, if I remember correctly, they did a Buzz Lightyear call out on the show and even made a meta joke during an episode since Jonathan Taylor Thomas was the voice of young Simba

Tara ✨💫

I've heard stories of parents with their kids who run into Tom Hanks and they tell their kids it's Woody from Toy Story, but the kids don't believe it and then they close their eyes and Tom says something that Woody would say and then the kids freak out in excitement. So fun!

Nebula

Thank you! Haha I kept yelling at the screen like "This was the FIRST EVER!" 😂🤭

Ginger

Such an iconic movie that forever changed how animation was done. Hard to believe Answer is the only one who has seen this. I graduated high school the year it came out and have seen it many times.

Kalkent

Beginning of the greatest animated franchise in cinematic history. It propelled 3D animation to new heights. An idea as imaginative as it is simple; almost every single person - no matter their age - can in some form relate to it. Full of quippy humour, adventure, warmth, yet also dealing with poignant themes of identity, neglect, heartbreak, and the will to not just be good, but do good. 4.2 Answers

This was so much fun rewatching with you guys! loved your reactions to everything, especially doing 'The Claw' motions/the "Space Ranger" head shakes & "Mrs Nesbit" line 😄 what nostalgia seeing all those classic toys, I remember spending hours as a Child playing with Slinky/Etch A Sketch, who else wondered if their toys came to life when you wasn't around after seeing this movie? hehe. Poor Quinn, losing all his original Hee-Man/Transformer toys being sold, we feel your pain! **HUGS** my original Thomas Tank Engine & co with the train tracks got given away & they were metal ones too! (also the look everyone but Quinn gives after Answer's "Nice to my toys, except when naughty" comment gave us a cheeky giggle 😈 I've only seen the 1st one, so it's gonna be alot of fun watching the others with ya! ^_^

Derek Jolstead

I think that’s definitely supposed to be the joke, yes. One of many more adult humor moments in the movie and series.

MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MOVIE😭😭 LETSGOOO!! can't wait for you guys to watch TS3

Tania R

Haha, I was thinking the same thing, Marie! 🤔 Answer... we're going to need some context here. 😄

Marie RammGirl

@Tania R indeed, cause i don't think the cheeky reason in my head is the real one teehee 🤭

Raquelly Reacts

Omg I can’t belive I found my people! Lol, aside from the beginning and the ending was sweet I also found the movie kinda meh. Honestly the middle was boring. Not even in my Pixar top 10.

Steven W

HAHHAHAHA ik the same dirty meme DD 😂😂😂

LesNV

It's just so nostalgic, it definitely brought a tear to my eye as soon as the movie started

Miya

I didn't like this movie that much when I saw it as a young kid because Sid and the scenes at is house freaked me out. I like it a lot more as an adult, but I'd still rank the subsequent two higher than this first one. Can't wait for you guys to watch them!

Katie

I enjoyed Up but I agree with you. And I don’t think it’s fair to compare Toy Story with Up when it’s so different

Katie

I’m surprised they didn’t catch on that the fish hook and barbie legs is supposed to be a hooker 😅

Katie

whats the meme lol

Katie

Nevermind I found it 🤣

Steven W

Oh lord 😂

Kaley

YOU. ARE. A. TOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYY.
