LETS GOOO THE MOST GOATED TOY STORY MOVIE OF EM ALL

Jana Knowles

Yayyyy this is my favourite one 🥺

Amy ✰

Super excited for this one!! 😁

Emily Barron

I’m so excited for this reaction because this is my favorite toy story film

rin

This was the only toystory to come out when i was growing up peak!

emma rose

love this movie! when it came out, my uncle was graduating high school, and i was just bonnies age. safe to say my mom, grandma and grandpa were bawling at this in the theatres

Curtis Rice

I actually like to separate these into two trilogies: Andy’s era in 1–3 wrapping up his childhood, and 4–5 (and hopefully a 6th down the road) as Bonnie’s era.

Unholy Tater

Perfect timing for me. Really looking forward to this one!

Monique

Quentin Tarantino said this is one of his favorite movies of all times. Calling it almost perfect....and I have to agree. Let's go!

JokerDanny

Please react to Elvis (2022).

𝙶𝚘𝚕𝚍𝙻𝚒𝚍𝚒𝚊 🏴‍☠️🦇

Fun fact: In the scene where Buzz speaks spanish, the original english version gives him a pretty “neutral” Castilian/Spain spanish accent. In the Latin American spanish dub, they exaggerated the pronunciation and made it much more stereotypically “castilian” for comedic effect. And you might wonder, what did they do in Spain? Well, they actually changed Buzz’s VA to give him an Andalusian accent, from southern Spain. He was even voiced by Diego El Cigala, a famous flamenco singer (who also sung the credits). The switch is so damn funny that it always makes me laugh 😭😭😭

Vol

This is definitely my fave Toy Story of the bunch!

rin

I actually remember being deathly terrified of garbage dumps as a kid bc of this movie

Jojo Hart

This Toy Story was especially emotional for us millennials who graduated from high school in 2010 (like myself) because we were basically saying goodbye to them and going off to college just like Andy 🥺

Kickinthescience

The ending hit different for millennials who saw it when it first came out

Kickinthescience

This would’ve been the perfect trilogy but you know…money

enyo96

"So long, partner." Maybe it's because I'm a millennial but the ending always makes me cry. We grew up with these toys and to say goodbye was hard. (Little did we know they would continue the series with Bonnie LOL) but at the time it truly felt like the perfect ending to the movies.

Lord_Wolf_Dragon

Toy Story 1 came out the year I was born, 1995, so I quite literally grew up with it. I had a Woody that literally went everywhere with me. The kind of toy I couldn't sleep without. Im 31 now. I still sob like a freaking baby everytime I watch this with Andy giving his toys to Bonnie. This time was no exception. Great movie and great reaction!

Amanda Diaz

I've watch this one so many times, it's my daughters favorite out of the bunch & still cry at the end with Andy 😭. I was born in 91 so I grew up watching Toy Story so definitely hits me. Thankfully my daughter still loves Toy Story & has all the toys. I'm so ready for the next one, it's one of my favorites.

Colleen Scott

Took my 2 boys to this in the theater. We all cried (I cried with Andy’s goodbye), but we all loved it so much! We all agree it is still our favorite, so the landfill part never bothered us as you might think.

Hazzel

SO EXCITED FOR THIS, THIS HAD ME BAWLING EVERY TIME I WATCHED IT

Alexis Joy

This movie came out on my graduation day from high school and it was crazy grow up with Andy and then seeing it in theaters with a bunch of friends. What a great film

Cee

The first three toy stories (only three I’ve seen prior on my own) are so exceptional as a trilogy. When you guys announced you’d be doing it I couldn’t decide which one I was looking forward to the most. Some days I think 2 is my favorite, some days I think 3 is my favorite. I was 15 when TS3 came out (crazy to say because I’m twice that age now) and I CRIED in the theater during the final scene with Andy introducing his toys to Bonnie. It hit so hard, I felt like I was giving them away myself lol.

nessa

MY FAV TOY STORYYYYY WOOOOOOOOO

Cee

Yeaaah, 1995 here too! 🤘🏾I relate so much to crying at that final scene with Andy & Bonnie.

Gemma Christine

When this first came out for the record I was SOBBING during the incinerator scene I thought it was the end of my childhood 😭 I will say I also cried with the Bonnie scene and that gave us closure we needed Edit: for context I was a ‘95 baby so watching this as a kid growing up everyone our age really thought we were saying goodbye to our toys. So happy they continued and I love 4 just as much!

Cee

I’ve seen a lot of people say that. I’ve only seen the first 3, and I think that’s the perfect way to separate and put a pin in it!

Benny H

This movie was the first time I ever saw my dad cry. Absolutely unbelievable film.

Knightmare

Woody is such a good character but ppl always pass him up as favorite for Buzz 😂oh I'm always #TeamWoody

Knightmare

I love how the piggy bank is actually considered a toy to andy instead of what it is LOL

AllyBoo124

My favorite Toy Story!!! For the longest time we thought this was the end of the series and what a perfect send off it was! I’ve never seen 4 or 5 so excited to watch those with y’all and see how I feel

Kaley

I knew Mason Quinn would despise that monkey!

Emily G

I was in high school when this came out and this movie had me sobbing for my childhood and toys lol.

Sofia

Can’t wait to see your reactions to the dump scene….you know which one!!! I was a mess in the theatres when it came out could not stop crying lol. I couldn’t believe the gang that always found a way out of trouble had accepted their fate and just held hands together. I was a mess!!!😭😂😂😭😭😭

patrick

Honestly, before Toy Story 5 I would've agreed (even tho I enjoyed the 4th movie as well) but I feel like they're doing (Spoiler Warning I guess) a Andy Trilogy and a Bonnie trilogy, so I wouldnt be surprised if they gonna announce Toy Story 6 soon

Magda Chonillo

My theater experience watching Toy Story 3 is something I'll never forget. During the incinerator scene and Andy's goodbye, the entire audience—kids and adults, myself included—was bawling our eyes out. I still cry every single time Andy says, "Thanks, guys," and Woody says, "So long, partner." Gets me every time 😭 To me, this movie is just perfect from beginning to end. The pacing never slows down, the adventure is nonstop, the comedy still lands, and then it hits you with one of the most emotional endings ever put on screen. It somehow breaks your heart and puts it back together at the same time. What I love most is that it isn't really a movie about toys. It's about growing up, letting go, moving on, and realizing that every chapter of life eventually comes to an end. That's why it connects with so many people, especially those of us who grew up with these characters. Honestly, this is my favorite of the three films, and personally, I think this is where the story should've ended. As far as I'm concerned, Toy Story is a perfect trilogy, and Toy Story 3 is one of Pixar's greatest achievements.

patrick

Haven't watched that movie in years and man I bawled Can't wait for the 4th movie, I enjoyed that almost as much as the third one

jo

movie hasn’t even started and i’m already choked up. love this one so much.

luca

sobbing at the end holding the blanket i’ve had since the day i was born😭😭i love this movie so much

Crispy

he did? lol

Crispy

whoever in the comments spoiled the movie for oak, I hope you stub your toe.

Mintteacup

Can't believe I've only seen this once as a child, I was in tears at the end. 10/10 no notes. Hope y'all do Madagascar next when this series is over Also I had a memory of Lotso being shredded or something so i'm surprised it didn't happen xD

Eric Wallace

I was 5 when I saw toy story, 9 for toy story 2, and for 3 I was 19 going on 20. I was in the army and myself, and three other soldiers my age went and saw this in theater. Four soldiers crying

T Kay

Saw both films as an adult. The incinerator scene had me bawling, but not as much as the end seeing Andy playing with Bonnie. My fave Toy Story movie, tho I have not seen the 5th one yet. And I have seen many fb friends post pics of the toys watching their kids go off after high school. Def emotional.

Mister Lou

The lines said in the beginning scene were all lines Andy gave them to say in the first playtime scene in Toy Story 1 "I brought my attack dog, with a built-in Force Field!" "Oh, yeah? Well I brought my Dinosaur, who eats Force Field Dogs!"

AllyBoo124

I can confirm there was crying in the theaters😭

AllyBoo124

This movie may have directly influenced my decision to bring my favorite childhood toys to college with me😭

Crispy

holy existential crisis

AllyBoo124

I knew yall would love it! Especially after the last movie reaction. Is it terrible for me to wish there was like some way for yall to not have known there would be two more😂 I think this one definitely hits harder not knowing it keeps going

The Animated Heroine

I kind of feel like this movie was made more for the kids that grew up with Toy Story. Because it came out so much after the original. When the first one came out I was about 9 or 10 and when this one came out I was still IN college. I'm sure the newer ones are fine (I haven't watched them) This kind of used to be a PERFECT trilogy though.

dreams⁷

I can't wait to go home and watch this!! THIS MOVIE IS SO DEAR TO ME AND ONE OF THE BEST PIXAR MOVIES OUT THERE (yes I'm biased lol) LETS GOOOOO

dreams⁷

Definitely! can't never describe the feeling watching this when it came out as the finale to the trilogy. And i still think it should've ended here

Kyra Brown

Yesss my absolute favorite of the film franchise so emotional so heartwarming I just love it so much 🥺❤️ now I can’t wait for the fourth one even though it’s not my favorite I still really enjoy and personally think it is overhated imo ❤️❤️

Crispy

Kens character kinda reminds me of the deep LOL

Stephen Hert

The first time I ever saw this, the movie theater was a mess. The water works were flowing. Those of us who grew up on the franchise, thought that this was it. So it hit so hard. It’s still hit really hard. Seeing Andy playing with his toys one last time, is so wholesome, and sweet. I really enjoyed four and five. But 1-3, are untouchable.

Alanna Meyers 🍌

This is my least fave Toy Story movie. I’ll only watch it cause they are haha

spishi

this movie had me stressed the fuck out when i saw this in theaters as a child 😭😭

Amber

This movie came out my freshman year of college. It was so poignant to me because I literally grew up with Andy and had just gone through those milestones of moving onto college. This will always be a special watch for me.

roxie c

why is this the only toy story movie that ive seen lol

Miya

Truly such a heartbreaking yet incredibly sweet moment! They were going to stick together, no matter what. 😭

Miya

@kickinthescience Yeeep. I have yet to see the fourth and fifth one because I like to pretend that Toy Story ended on this movie. Truly a perfect trilogy.

Ron B.

Yeah this one was an emotional watch in the theatre. Like saying bye to your childhood. This would've been the perfect sendoff....but...money.

Nasia Violet

As a person going off to college this month (so soon omg😭) and growing up as a little kid with this movie (my favorite Toy Story) this rewatch really hit me hard (I cried during the Andy going away scene)

Kinah

Bro y’all have got to stop with the spoilers. So lame

Karina Alarcon

This is my favorite Toy Story movie. I cried the first time I watched it at the cinema, and I cried again watching it with you guys... best of them all!

Amber

I know it’s not on the schedule but I hope you guys decide to check out Toy Story of Terror (it bridges 3 and 4) TV movie or some of the shorts. All available on Disney+ and are enjoyable.

Stephen Hert

One more thing to Oak. This movie was as much for us who grew up with the franchise as the newer audience. So, when they were in the incinerator, we young adults who grew up with and fell in love with these toys, were in SHAMBLES. We didn't know what would happen. And it also felt like a great send off for those of us going to college around the time Andy did, I was a little older, but it still hit.

Ginger

This movie is where the franchise lost me. Enjoyed the first two, hated this one. Have had no interest to watch any after, only watched the 4th for my nieces.

Rawaby 1204

Thought this one was where my favorite character appears and i was so excited lmao ,, tbh i never understood people who loves lotso’s merch like he wasn’t a badass he was just a bitter loser , this was fun i am already feeling sad about ending the toy story reactions journey

VannaBonana

Always! Always make me crrrryyyyy!!

Elijah Ramirez

Toy Story 1-3 represent my childhood. I always rewatch the first two because they’re easier watches. Toy Story 3 always reminds me of the end of my childhood and that shit still gets me every time. It didn’t hit me too hard when I watched this back then as a teen. My mom did cry a lot during the movie and I was too dumb at the time to understand why.

Gabby

Omg the drive in near me is showing Toy Story 5 tonight lol at like 11:30 tho 😵‍💫

BecauseBeca

Same! 1995 friends! However, my sister was closer to the age of Andy. So when he was graduating she had just graduated. This movie was really made for teenagers who grew up with these characters.

BecauseBeca

So many 95 babies in the comments (including me). 31 year olds, UNITE ❤️😭

Zoe

I was a senior in high school when this came out and to this day, I avoid watching this movie because it absolutely destroys me every time. Watched it with you guys though ❤️…and sobbed

Zoe

It makes me so emotional that the voice actor for Andy has always been the same person, as a child and adult 😭

Bri

DD I watched it in theaters! I was 17 at the time, so the perfect age to relate to Andy and I grew up watching and loving these movies. So once we hit that climax I was ✨️c r y i n g✨️ Like we all figured that was gonna be the last movie, and that scene is so hopeless, I was like: Dang, I don't see how they're going to get out of this one. Lol, but yeah I found this one to be very touching. It really makes you go back and think about your own childhood. I still tear up when I rewatch this one. Edit: Oak, I agree, I think this is better than 1 and 2 too

GEMsMama

And gave it a 5!?! What is happening 😅🤣

Bri

I was born in '93 and saw this one at 17, and yeah it really hit emotionally seeing myself in Andy and reflecting on my childhood.

Tania R

That 'Thanks, guys.' at the end... 😭😭😭

HYYHwithNesh

I was a wreck watching this at 7 then at 12 then at 17 then now at 23, it's my favorite

GEMsMama

I was 10 when the first one came out, 14 for the second, But for this one my nephew was just six years old. And we showed him the first two all the time. Some of his first words were, “Bzzzz” and “Ooodie” He asked for these movies all the time. He had 32 various different Buzz toys, and he had to count them every night before bed, make sure they were all accounted for. Watching this with him for the first time was devastating!!! He was a sensitive kid, he was so emotional during it and full on crying at all the expected moments. That really made me realize just how short their childhoods are. I was a wreck. And have been every time a have ever watched this movie since.

GEMsMama

You have to keep in mind, TS4 wasn’t even announced until 4 years after this movie came out. At the time it was the definitive end, and for all of us emotionally attached to the story’s and characters, we thought it was our last goodbye.

CeeEl

I mean Toy Story 4 wasn't that good but surprisingly, TS5 was really great

Rajdeep Kang

a 5 from Diamond Dave wow i’m shocked but not. this is the movie that deserves it. it makes me cry every time.

Kalkent

Sometimes the simplest adjective sums up your feelings: Beautiful. 4.8 Answers

Nebula

my whole family went to see this in theaters! All adults! We were SOBBING! Everyone in the theater was crying and speechless when they all held hands.

Priscila666

1995 here !! I cried so much

dreams⁷

Andy was 6 years old in TS1 and 8 years old in TS2 (he’s an ‘89 baby) the time jump to this would be about 9 years since he’s 17 (2007 in-universe cause the second movie takes place in 1997 and the first 1995) So in the story timeline, it would be 11 to 12 years between TS1 and TS3, but in theatrical release, it is 15 years.

Tania R

The conversation you guys had in the review about Andy leaving for college really got me thinking. When I first left home, my dad told me he'd accidentally broken a little plate I'd made in primary school that he'd kept all those years. Seeing him so emotional made me burst into tears. 🥹 For me, this movie definitely hits a whole lot harder as an adult.

Cristy

This is my fave one and your reaction didn't disappoint. Love the Totoro cameo too.

Marie RammGirl

I bet everyone has that 1 toy they'll always keep for sentimental reasons when they've passed the phase of playing with them. Your reactions to Buster was adorable & poor Quinn over the toy Monkeys **Hugs** also great wit of Quinn with his "Buzz Winter Soldier" comment hehe. "Even after that backstory, I wanna punch the Bear" 😆 think all of us watching agree on that DD. All 4 of your reactions to 'Floppy Potato Head' was gold! & YAY for the Detroit Become Human reference! 💙 Liked all your 'Rawr/Claw' impressions too hehe. This one felt darker/sadder in parts, but it still had that same magical charm as the previous movies, a somewhat bittersweet ending, but it's good to see them find a new home to be loved & played with, rather than gathering dust in the Attic.

I'm Batman

As someone who was around Andy's age (maybe a year or 2 older) when the first movie came out and being an adult by the time this one was released this one hurt me the first time I saw it. The ending will never fail to make me cry, and growing up I held onto one of my very first toys, a Hulk Hogan action figure. It means too much to me to let it go because it was my first wrestling toy I got and it was from my dad, still got him. So when Andy first pulls away from Bonnie when she goes to grab Woody, I felt that. Personally I still think the 2nd one is the best and the first movie and this one I have at the same ranking. I liked the 4th one but I haven't watched it since it first came out on Disney+ and don't really remember much about it, except maybe 1 or 2 things so it'll be like a first time watch for me again. Anyways, another 5/5 this gets from me.

H. AW

Oak talking about kids bawling their eyes out in the movies but i'm 27 and the incinerator scene, along with Andy and bonnie at the end, still gets me I cannot after so many years of rewatching this hold back my tears lmao. And yes toy story 3 could have been a good end for the franchise but for someone so attached to these characters i'm glad there's 2 more and i'm open to another one tbh.

Alana Swiss

I mean, same here. Apparently we were all just collectively bawling in theaters across the country. For millennials the ending really seemed like the toys and Andy were saying goodbye to US after so many years together. It hit harder at the time thinking it was the final film but it's one of those theater experiences you don't forget! Also the scene in the beginning is pretty much the same as the original play scene with Andy from the first movie rendered in more HD graphics. And Sid makes a cameo as a garbage man at the end (wearing the same skull shirt). A popular theory is that he works as a garbage man to rescue thrown out toys as a way of atonement after learning they're sentient ❤️

Sarah_M

God, this movie still makes me cry. 😭💜

Tania R

Spanish Buzz had absolutely no business being that funny! 😂💛

MandaM

Wasn't exactly a kid kid when it came out but it was so traumatic lol especially the garbage scene. That paired with the fact I saw it in theaters right before my brother went off to college 2 hours away 😭 We were both crying.

Ruby

I was 18, and had just graduated High School the summer when this hit theaters. I quite literally grew up with these movies, and had my VHS on repeat for Toy Story 1. Suddenly, my friends and I were off to college just like Andy. So yeah, this hit very close to home for a lot of millennials! This was the end of an era because we thought this would be the last movie. Talk about traumatizing when our toys started to hold hands, I can still feel that heartbreak!

Kinah

My personal opinion this is the best Toy Story in terms of complexity and everything, the next one is the funniest one.

Ha'ane Rose 🦋

This movie makes me so emotional because it came out just around the time I was finishing up high school 😭 Personally I've never seen movies 4 or 5 because I always thought they should've ended it with this one, but I guessssss I'll watch it with you guys when you drop the reactions to them lol

Rena Unnie

i think walt disney rarely does redeemed villains ! Trying to remember all the Walt Disney animated show I saw and I don't remember villains turning into good guys. I can safely say, they stay evil! Now, the most recent shows I'm not sure, but the oldest one, never seen one.

Brian Lockwood

Back in "olden times", the Potato Head sets didn't come with plastic veg bodies: you had to use a REAL potato or other vegetable. Also, the same actor (John Morris) provided the voice of Andy in ALL of the first 4 movies as he grew up alongside the character.

Paige

I worked at a movie theater when this came out. There were some kids and families but it was mostly 20 somethings who had grown up with the first two. I was definitely crying at the end when I went 😂

Justin Russell

As someone who was 17 when this came out, seeing it in theaters was traumatic as hell😅 with this originally going to be the end of Toy Story the incinerator was absolutely horrifying not knowing how they would get out. That and the very end just tears the first time.

Dominique

Since we grew up with the first 2 movies, the end of this movie had grown adults crying fr, mostly when Andy is leaving it really hits you that it's an end of an era

Katie

Grew up with these movies so I was definitely bawling in the theaters. Cried again through my lexapro during this watch 😂

Knightmare

Man... I forgot that it was a Disney kids movie and completely lost my mind when they were at that incinerator 😭

Anthony Velasquez

First time watch for me on this one which is strange since I have seen all the other ones outside of the 5th movie I gotta give it up for Blake Clark the new actor for Slinky you would have never known it was a different actor he sounded just like Jim Varney

🦉ChristyBee🧡

My oldest nephew was just a few years old when the first Toy Story came out. Woody and Buzz were his favorite toys, just like Andy. I remember seeing the first theatrical preview for Toy Story 3 with my sister, my nephew’s mom, and we both cried so hard JUST FROM THE PREVIEW 😭!! So basically, Andy’s journey was my nephew’s journey. I remember being an absolute basket case seeing the whole 3rd movie when it came to theaters. Bittersweet times FOR SURE!!!! Savor those precious fleeting years as long as you can, friends 🥹❤️🫣🤠

Aubrey

The guys actually kept it together better than I expected for this one but maybe that's because they have the benefit of knowing there are more. I saw this one in the theater with my daughter, who had a stuffed, long-eared bunny that she was deeply attached to. When she was three, Bunny got lost at day care for 48 hours, and I didn't think she was ever going to sleep again. Thankfully, he was located, and 20 years later, he still has a place of honor on her shelf. I think I love that silly rabbit almost as much as she does. Needless to say, we both ugly cried in the theater and haven't braved the last two.

Tara ✨💫

I'm not sure if you guys knew that they were able to get the same actor who played Andy in the first 2 movies to come back since he has also gotten older in the 11 years between 2 and 3. I wonder what it was ike for him to say goodbye to those toys. The entire scene at the end when Andy goes to Bonnie's house, reluctantly let's go of Woody, plays with them one last time before saying goodbye has me bawling each time. I'm older than you guys, so when I was little, the only way we got to see a disney movie was when they released them for a limited time in theaters. No VCRs in the mid 70's. My mom took me to see Bambi in the theater when I was about 5. I don't remember this, but apparently, I started crying hysterically in the aisle and I VERY loudy yelled "They... killed... Bambi's... mom!" through my crying. So yes, there are Disney/Pixar movies that can be traumatic to children.

Megan

I still hate that bear! I remember on first watch, being super suspicious of him and told my friend "This is Terminus all over again!" 🤣

Ryan Holmes

Oak makes a good point on people spoiling in the comments. Idk why DD has to be such an ass about it

Ellen Clarke

I have a brother who’s two years younger than me and got buzz and woody for Christmas the same year the first movie came out, it’s an important movie for our family. Andy and I are the same age, this movie came out the summer before I went to college! My mom and I went to see it in theaters together and just sobbed 😭
