What a finale, my heart sunk at the end there. Didn't see that coming at all, and the face Alicent makes like she knew something horrible just happened was a nice touch. And my God, what a freaking battle. Glad Ormund is finally dead, man I hated that guy. Overall this might be my favorite season so far. Can't wait to see how it all wraps up next season and RIP Helaena and none of them deserved you!

No better way for a homophobe like Ormund to get killed, plus he has to smell his own crap while he dies. At least until he is sanitized in fire.

Peace would not have worked, Daemon did the right thing. Ormund still would have found Ulf & would still have given him orders to burn down Team Black even if Daemon agreed to peace. & the only reason the Greens wanted peace was because they knew they were about to die. That doesn’t mean they would have stuck to their word of peace, as we saw when Ormund falsely bent the knee for Rhaenyra. Corlys saying how the great families would only follow a man/king as ruler & not a queen is so laughable. He definitely didn’t feel that way when it was own wife up for consideration to rule the throne. Also, Ulf got treated fairly because he was an obnoxious, demanding, entitled jerk ever since he got a dragon, being disrespectful to the Rhaenyra & everyone else. Hugh & Addam did not act like that, only Ulf. He acts as if they can’t kill him & find another rider for his dragon (which they should have done).

Baela was going a little crazy there for a second lol . She obviously forgot that Corlys was supposed to be with Rhaenyra at Kings Landing all this time, but he chose to go fight the triarchy personally in the woods. Corlys is the one who sent Alyn to take his place …. these were not Rhaenyra’s choices. Also Baela & Rhaena do have fault for Jace’s death. & Rhaenyra did not abandon Rhaena, Rhaena was supposed to be safe with the other little kids … but Rhaena abandon them … All of this happened due to none of Rhaenyra’s choices. & I blame Mysaria for Helena’s death. She was the last one to whisper all those devious thoughts to Helena about Rhaenyra. Her mind was already fragile but that was the last push Helena needed .

2026-09-06 11:00 That Dragon Plushie of Quinn's was a adorable moment & him stroking it made it even more cute moment hehe. ^_^ 💚🐉 LOVED all your reactions to Aegon's "I'm Alive!" line (it's the **WAY** he said it haha) Liked the little tip of Sunfyre's wing MQ did & Answer's "My Dragon" to him hehe. Rhaenyra is losing all her allies through her despicable behaviour, especially in this finale, those decisions she made & how she treated certain people, I will relish in seeing the backlash & how her downfall comes about. The GOT universe NEVER fails to give us an epic battle in it's finales, visuals/sound design made it feel so real, we've kinda had a feeling all along that something may go wrong with Ulf, but wasn't expecting full on rogue scorched earth on everyone, you could say the writing (well the fire in this case) was on the wall when had that final treatment from Ormund. A phenomenal Season 3 with you guys! ❤️ I know ya guys like to raggle on each other sometimes & it's all in good fun, but wasn't keen on Oak's treatment towards Quinn, trying dampen his Sunfyre plushie moment being on his phone & cutting him off during the post review discussion.

Team Black ! Team Rhaenyra! Team Daemon! The Greens & Alicent will always be the ones who started this whole mess. Crazy how everyone else always doing whatever they want always seems to be Rhaenyra’s fault. She is always being blamed for the actions & decisions of other people. After seeing how other real tyrants rule in tv land, Rhaenyra is not that bad at all …. the worst thing she did was kill the high septon priest, yet she is betrayed by everyone except Daemon, Alyn & Corlys (to some degree) .

Would highly recommend that you guys watch the behind the scenes videos on youtube for each episode. Think they might be on hbo as well. But they are so fun to watch,filled with great interviews from so many of the cast and crew. Its incredible seeing how much practical work and stunts go into this show. Even if you dont dont react to them,i think you guys would really enjoy them if you find the time to check em out. "IM ALIVE!!!" lmao that scene cracked me up

Rhaenyra might be have gone a little crazy but you will never catch me rooting for the rapsit Aegon, no matter how 'cool' the show runners will try to make him look, he is still a bad person he never ruled well and not to mention this whole mess and war is bc the greens usurped the throne. when rhanerya finally sat on the iron throne she had so many obstacles that a lot of people would have a problem with being a king/queen under this conditions.

Ulf didn’t kill Kat. The Northmen stormed her house, and one of Ormund’s men threw her at them. It doesn’t show the Northmen kill her, but I think it’s heavily implied. Why have the scene otherwise? I think Hugh will blame it on Rhaenyra. I’m also pretty sure Daemon roasted some kids on the ramparts, and he didn’t wait for those last two kids in front of the gate to move either.

Oh, Aegon definitely isn’t fit to rule either. But Rhaenyra has reacted badly in just about every bit of ruling she’s done. And is now obsessed with her divine right to rule, which will give her license to be an even worse ruler. It’s difficult to root for anyone in this show, because they’re all deeply flawed. I HAD been rooting for Alyn, but he just murdered a septon in the sept, even if it was at the queen’s orders and he looked conflicted. I guess I can root for Gwayne, and maybe Daeron, still. Corlys, maybe?

Gwayne maybe? lol But yes, it's difficult to support most of these characters because they're all deeply flawed. But that can make the storytelling even more compelling. I don't need a side to root for, I just want interesting stories. And grey characters can make for some seriously interesting stories. That's what GRRM's universe is all about, in fact.

Corlys saying the great families balk at following a woman ruler doesn't mean he himself thinks that way. Though it IS rather treasonous of him to suggest carving up her kingdom even in the name of peace, so Daemon is absolutely justified in taking him prisoner.

Interesting point although, Hugh’s entire backstory was defined by the Greens locking down King’s Landing, which directly led to his daughter's death. Kat fled because of the Greens' blockade and hardship. If he eventually turns against Rhaenyra, it is driven by his growing ambition, power trip after claiming Vermithor, and hatred for the nobility as a whole probably not because of a convoluted misunderstanding that Rhaenyra sent Northmen to kill his wife.

A very good finale that encapsulates the best and the worst of this season. The writing, for the most part, serviced greatly to some characters, while either - at best - side lining or completely relegating others. The good thing is that the former concerns the lead characters - the ones driving the main plot, but still it was nevertheless frustrating to see characters that had huge potential - Mysaria, Hugh, Corlys - been essentially either neutralized or poorly written. Mysaria being the biggest culprit. Aemond's arc was equally as laborious as Daemon's in the previous season; as the season progressed my enthusiasm for his scenes kept diminishing, barring a few highlights. On the other hand Rhaneyra's arc was masterfully handed in my opinion. What happens when a person with a singular vision, with a mindset fuelled by entitlement and an unwavering drive finally achieves what they have been pining for almost forever, but only from afar? A giant fucking mess. She's not Rhaneyra the chosen but rather Rhaneyra the incompetent. Completely overwhelmed by mundane matters from the moment she took control of King's Landing, it was not difficult to see where she was headed. Not quite great, but a really good season that - fingers crossed - will hopefully stick the landing. 3.9 Answers.
