Nicholas Galitzine (Adam) is a really good actor. I recently recommended another film with him, Red, White & Royal Blue.

Alanna Meyers 🍌

Hoping you guys will watch The Sheep Detectives which came out this year and stars Nicholas Galitzine. I saw Masters of the Universe in theatres knowing nothing about He-Man and enjoyed it a lot

Keyuana Gray

Mom is May from Peaky Blinders

Jeff K.

Didn't realize he was in that. That's a stacked cast, with Hugh Jackman as the big name among the human actors, and then the loaded voice cast (I know JLD is the main one, but I'm excited to watch it for Brett "Roy Kent" Goldstein as a pair of rams).

Kiss the Librarian

5:08 I don't know about Eternia, but there are lots of statues of losers. They're in the southern U.S. states glorifying Civil War losers who were really good at abusing and murdering millions of people who didn't have the means to fight back

I'm Batman

Never saw the cartoon or the first movie so I probably wasn't the target viewer the movie was looking for. Only thing I know of is quite literally the "I have the power" quote. Personally, I think the outfits looked kinda cheap to me. I will say the soundtrack was BY FAR the best thing about this movie. Gonna download it for some workout tunes. Some shots looked absolutely breathtaking and when he transforms into He-Man for the first time I got absolute CHILLS. Skeletor was, okay, chuckled a few times from him. I'll give this a 3/5.

maybe I don't have the nostalgia hype for this story and character, that is why in my opinion John Carter is better movie for me (that I also has no idea of the lore) but I love the fight choreo in this one

Anthony Velasquez

I thought it was fine but I don’t have the nostalgia for it didn’t need to be 2 and half hours imo thought it was too long for what we got here

Anthony Velasquez

3/5 is a fair score my biggest problem with this film is I thought it was too long for what we got I think they could have easily shaved off 30 to 40 mins of this film

Nicholas Galitzine is one of my favorite actors. I think he crushed it as He-Man. I was disappointed that we didn't get Skeletor's cat Panthor! I would love you guys to react to my favorite movies of Nicholas' Handsome Devil and Red, White & Royal Blue.

I made sure to watch this in the theater and loved it. Saw the cartoon occasionally. Saw Dolph's version tho I don't remember it much. Truly loved the music here. It was so reminiscent of Flash Gordon which is a fave of mine. Thank you for watching. I enjoyed watching with you.

Amanda P

Yes!! I would love for them to watch RWRB! Especially with the sequel coming soon-ish! That's where I was introduced to Nicholas and I love seeing him cast in more movies

steve chase

Hey guys where is The Truman Show?

HYYHwithNesh

and at the end of the day I actually really enjoyed this. I only ever seen the cartoon on Tubi as a kid when it came on but I knew nuth else and what an introduction! it was so fun

Amanda Diaz

its on the schedule for tomorrow, they posted it.

Ya for Thursday not Saturday

Well, the one thing I can say for certain is that they were not really in Oklahoma City! This was a fun, nostalgic watch for the Gen X kids who grew up on the cartoon. Now I need everyone to go upvote Bottoms because Nicholas Galitzine is great in that too, and I know the guys would enjoy it!

Aubrey

Mayor Holt giving a shout out to the movie and the commenters cackling about the alternate universe OKC. I do appreciate that they tried to go for a mix of our old and new license plates even if they did have some front plates (God, don’t get me started on the OCPD graphics though) 😆 https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BgEy7SdNt/?mibextid=wwXIfr

The score was just fantastic! I ended up liking this so much more than I thought I would! 🤩

LizTheOther

I agree about the music. Glad they kept it more like a cartoon - it sent me back to Saturday morning TV. The composer, Daniel Pemberton, also did the music for Project Hail Mary.

"I HAVE THE POWERRR!" couldn't resist saying it myself hehe, loved watching the 80s cartoon as a child & I was impressed by this Live Action Adaption, I think they stayed faithful to the original, the costumes, soundtrack & visuals when he says the famous line was cool, also enjoyed the humour, especially Fisto's innuendo dialogue & your reactions to it gave me lots of cheeky giggles 😈 I know Skeletor is the Villain, but he was a favourite character of mine in the original cartoon as his dialogue was so funny/entertaining, SO glad we got to hear him say "Boob" line here as he always used say "You Royal Boob!" in the original cartoon hehe. (Also he kinda reminded me abit of Ronan from GOTG hehe) maybe I'll use that new amusing word "Squink" now haha, but this gets the big thumbs up from me, as I'll admit I was anxious about a remake of it, but I had alot of fun watching with you awesome guys ❤️💙💚

I was born in the late 80s so I don't have the He-Man nostalgia schema, but I enjoyed it because I enjoy fun movies, especially fun hero movies. We've had years and years of dramatic with few funny beats or grimdark stories in the genre, so this was a breath of fresh air to me.

They could've cut at least 10 minutes out of the Earth portion. I see places where 5 and 10 minutes could've easily been edited out and lose nothing. Like the Skeletor gets awakened scene - could've completely cut that. I actually didn't see that scene because I went to the bathroom 3 times during this at the theatre. If me missing it didn't even affect my first viewing experience, it definitely wasn't needed.

I was 7 years old when MOTU started airing. I caught maybe an episode here or there. I was more into other stuff at the time. When She-Ra started, that was my SHOW. I was kinda laughing when y'all were puzzled at whom Marlena was referring to in the mid credits scene. Then I thought, well, more likely they didn't watch She-Ra. I'd say She-Ra has the potential to do better than MOTU but it's more known to "modern audiences" by that godawful She-Ra In Name Only Netflix cartoon. The one where the creator stated multiple times she never watched the 80s show and Netflix She-Ra was based on stories she made up using her older sister's She-Ra figures. I've seen discussions about a She-Ra movie where people are, "I really hope they follow the Netflix show". Well, they CAN'T because the Netflix show isn't connected to MOTU at all. Like I said - SINO. I've been in plenty of arguments with - I can only assume - younger people about the subject. It's fine they like that version but it is by no means SHE-RA. I've heard Amazon is considering a live action She-Ra TV series but I have no idea if that's connected to this MOTU movie or what. The director of this movie says he has the actress he wants for She-Ra in mind, it's just getting the opportunity to go forward.

I’m pretty sure Amazon agreed to a sequel, but maybe I’m misremembering. The movie didn’t do well at the box office, which is unfortunate, but so far it seems to be picking up some momentum on streaming. As the guys said, Amazon is known for moving forward on projects that aren’t necessarily commercially successful. I think they see a lot of marketing opportunities if this turns into a franchise, and they certainly have the money to throw at another film

This movie was a love letter to my 80’s childhood. I hope Amazon gives us a sequel 👍🏻
