Crispy

IV BEEN WAITING THIS WHOLE TIME FOR EPISODE 3x4 I LOVE THE MUSIC! so Unique. This is for sure Heavily inspired by Kill Bill :)

Storm

16:50 Quinn is right, that scene was referencing Kill Bill

Crispy

ohhhh im proud

Joey the Worm

I'm campaigning to get Sakamoto Days in the next poll anyone who's seen it you know why the guys would LOVE IT

Brooke Chabala

God this episode made Maki my absolute favorite

JoyBoy69

I mean its ok there's definitely more higher rated anime that would be more enjoyable to see them react to

Chosos Wife

You can try all you want but its not gonna. Their website shows HxH, My Hero, Solo Leveling and Vinland Saga are the next poll. Its whatever has the most recommendations on there

Crispy

freakin love Maki

Hazzel

Lets go Maki!!!

Dee

BTW, a major part of Maki's power up is Mai's death, not the weapon she created.

Pucki

The Cat was not The principals son he was refering to panda as his son

BlakedAsFuh

Please consider Solo Leveling for the next anime, yall would love it!

Jon

Here's the way I see it: Maki's mom severely mistreated her kids, but she was also a victim of the clan and treated poorly herself, stuck in this harsh system. You can see it just in how Naoya talks to her in these episodes. In her final moments when Maki has deconstructed everything, she's glad that nobody else can be abused, and she feels proud of her kids for the first time.

Mari

I thought Principal Yaga was referencing Panda when he said he is on his way to meet his Son. idk I didn't read the manga, but that's what I got from that episode and Takeru is not his son but he transferred his information to that inanimate object. Like that woman was the Mom but Principal Yaga is not the Father. Am I wrong? Let me know. I'm a bit confused in that scene even this is my second watch.

Mintteacup

Can't say im celebrating killing your clan because there's also victims there like Maki and Mai but damn it looked cool

David

I think you mixed something up with the Toji line. Youre definetly right in that Mai made that Sword for her but it wasnt Tojis (idk maybe but thats not important). What gave her the powerup, was Mai taking the little Cursed Energy Maki had left, with her when she died. Maki and Toji pretty much have the same Heavenly Pact of super Speed/Strengh&Perception but the reason Toji was much stronger is that he had ZERO Cursed Energy. He was the only one, a total anomaly. Maki did have a tiny amount of Cursed Energy and that was, what was holding her back. The one guy she fought recognized her power instantly thats why he said she is like Toji, they should all know that since they can feel she has no Cursed Energy anymore, Naoya was just too arrogant and in denial the whole fight

Mintteacup

The doll, Takeru, had Kusakabe's nephews soul information in it (not the memories}, it was not the principles son. Panda is the principles son by nature of creating him.

Sanji Sama

Yeees! I love Mondays because of you guys.

Ghost Hawk

Mason Quinn saying ‘But at no point did he let it rip, go wild, and unleash his full potential’ about Megumi is so funny because he doesn’t even know the meme 😭

Mallada

About Maki's mom, what we possibly have is that she said that because the misogynistic Zenin clan system that abused and devalued women and jailed her. Since the Zenin clan always had that ultimate symbol of the patriarchal oppression that ruined her life and her daughters' lives. You can also notice that she finished Naoya stabbing him in the back like he said that a useless woman should be killed by being stabbed in the back in his first apperance talking to her.

rin

Naoya got packed up quick for all that shit talk Maki my queennn

Kobra Koa

Don't worry, when the rest of season 3 gets released and finished we will have more, then the (possible final movie) which will end everything.

toxichawk

well season 3 is done. The Culling Games Part Two is going to be a season 4, and assuming im correct in how that season will end, season 5 could easily be the final season if its full length like 1/2.

Jon

Well they were right that Mai made a copy of the split soul katana, which is one that Toji used. I was surprised they recognized it

David

I guess thats right, I thought of the other one he used, the shorter one

Spicy Meatballs

They mentioned how the “higher-ups” don’t like the newer modernized techniques and prefer more traditional ones.

Euphoric_dusk

In case you guys didn't know, the reason they refer to Kirara as "they" sometimes and the reason Megumi asked "wasn't the other 3rd year a man" in reference to Kirara is because she is transgender. She used to be male but transitioned to female. I love me some trans representation. #protectthedolls

Leisha

def an ohmage to Kill Bill

Powder

Maki killed her mom because her mom knew about the plan to murder her and Mai but did nothing. Thats why Maki asked "so why did you tell me to come back?" before killing her.

mighty

Maki had the heavenly pact like Toji but because she had a twin sister with cursed energy, the heavenly pact didn't fully manifest in Maki, so after Mai died she took the cursed energy with her and then heavenly pact manifested and Maki just evolved.

jhn

ill make a quick summary. zenin has heavenly pact we have heard tht throughout the series what makes toji strong without cursed energy .. maki mai twins were weak cus jjk world saw them as one person split in two, maki had very little curse energy mai has a little more, mai sacrificed herself took the little cursed energy maki has, unlocked her heavenly pact like toji... mai put her last little bit cursed energy into making tht sword which maki woke up with.. she now has heavenly pact and cursed tool/sword now

RunAwayCloak

The zenin clan was not the villians they save more lives the 90% of jujutsu sorcers. Maki taking out her clan significantly weakens the jujutsu sorcers against the curse spirits m. She also murder non combatants. Also most of the zenin clan agreed with allowing megumi to take over but she still killed them. She basically commit mass genocide on her clan. She’s just as bad as them as they was just misogynistic they didn’t murder people for the sport of it.

Artem Dmytrenko

Btw, am I the only one that finds this turn towards game-like battle royal as out of nowhere and a bit confusing?

Rena Unnie

I think I like the new animation style/direction for season 3. I didn't like it much in S2 coz I was missing the one from S1.

Ayo Bee

I don't think Maki's mom had a "change of heart" per se, but more like she was too afraid to stand up for herself like Maki had, much like Mai, but once she sees that she is at the end of her life and her daughter finally ended the clan that abused her. She was the woman that served Naoya and to have her be the one to "stab him in the back" with a kitchen knife was so fitting. Ep5: Takeru isn't the principal's son. He's Kusakabe's (sword guy) nephew and Takeru's mom is Kusakabe's little sister. It's implied more in the manga that Panda has the souls of the principal's children. In the manga, they show three gravestones in-between the chapters.

JoyBoy69

Kirara is a guy

Peyton Meinhart

Yes it is a reference to Kill Bill and I believe that they did have a person who worked on Kill Bill work on this episode of JJK with the animators!
