So Tired

Been waiting for you guys to drop this because I have a theory to share. The theory is that I believe what happened to Hal is related to the grandson (Noah) somehow. Remember what Zoe / Manhunter told him? “Don’t forget everything I taught you.” Plus her teaching him to “see without being seen” feels like a massive detail. Also, if you go back to episode one when John is teaching Noah to throw the football, he tells him, “Don’t aim. Just imagine it going through... don’t force it, just imagine.” I feel like that can come back to what happened to Hal. We also learned that he’s tall and that he’s on the team now, a quarterback. And that he’s All-state. He could be the first human Manhunter, I said it’s because Kerry said Zoe gave her a miracle. I personally don’t think it was the pinky finger, or maybe it could just be Zoe saving her from the troubles back from Gotham. But this is just a theory.

SPEAK UHP! Been waiting all day for this! Watching right now

I'm Batman

Broken record over here, best episode so far 😆 Looking forward to this reaction!

Rob Yung

seems like a solid theory

I'm Batman

I've heard a few others mention this, honestly I believe it to be true.

I'm Batman

No, the lanterns are not indestructible, I don't even think the big one on Oa is either (though I could be wrong about that one). They're more durable than a typical lantern but they can indeed be destroyed, just like the rings can be destroyed as well. Also, I wouldn't look too much into who was chasing Kerry. It's Gotham, it's littered with gangs so it's easy to say she's just running from a typical gang. If they do show a backstory on it (which I doubt they will, don't wanna see Gotham City as a flashback for its first time being seen) I'd imagine they would say Rupert Thorn is the boss who's looking for her. He has been introduced in the DCU, appearing in a Creature Commandos episode (REALLY hope y'all watch that at some point, I think it's either the best show so far in the DCU or the 2nd best considering this show has been an absolute BANGER)

Has DD seen Harry Potter? If not, that's a pretty big spoiler! You can mention she's the ghost lady in HP, but I'd probably delete the rest. 😅

"Deals & Steals" haha 😆 Cool seeing the backstory of how Kerry became Sheriff. The whole "Coitus" Conversation & your reactions to it gave such cheeky giggles 😈 Hal will say ANYTHING to convince them to the cause ha. This Eps was wild! lots of chaos/action & we loved it! but is that REALLY the end of William Macon?! Garret Dillahunt doesn't seem to have the best luck with his characters hehe. Even after all that rigorous hard training as a kid & all way to adulthood with all the stuff he gone through, turns out he didn't want The Ring as much as he thought he did. Yay for the LOTR Gollum impression there Quinn hehe.

Kiss the Librarian

So far loving everything about the show except how John's parents are written, and basically all of Ep 3. Not totally believable and their dialogue falls flat, melodramatic, and exposition heavy. I didn't believe a word of what John's parents said because it didn't seem to come from real peoples' perspectives or motives. I'm all for trying to see the world through the lens of every kind of human experience, especially those who face adversity. Not at all criticizing "a woke agenda" that gets ignorant corners of the internet riled up and "offended" that other viewpoints exist. And I'm glad the white guys who wrote/created the series hired a black woman for that episode instead of trying to put words in black characters' mouths themselves about what it's like to be black in America. But also kind of surprised it wasn't written by white guys because so much of the dialogue felt super hokey. Like a white person or a rich person trying to write "jive," lol. I just don't think Vanessa Baden Kelly did a good job on this. She's better at writing social commentary than writing realistic characters, engaging dialogue, and doing show-don't-tell storytelling.
