Never watched these reactions! I don't know how. 😆 I loved Pirates of The Caribbean when they released. They were a frequent replay in our house. I watch movies when I go to bed and I would play this one nightly. Love them so much. (And yes I had a big crush on Will Turner lol) Watching these now! Just put in my copy. 🙌

Eric Wallace

Was going to watch the new Barbarian reaction but decided that 10 was a little to late for that nightmare. Figured i go back and watch an older reaction i haven't seen yet

Ryan Towell

i know this is old, but just decided to go back and watch along and you guys didn't mention oscar winner Geoffrey Rush who played Capt Barbossa. One of my favorite actors. He won best actor for his role in the movie "Shine" highly recommend for some reason it's always over looked.

Chase Gardner

Yay! Call me captain Jack Sparrow. This movie was good johnny Depp and Orlando bloom are amazing in these movies

.

I can't get home fast enough!! Super excited to watch your reaction! 😁

Chandra

Hey guys! Since you are watching PotC I was wondering if any of you had seen Black Sails on Starz. It is a prequel to the book Treasure Island. It has a combination of real and fictional pirates. It is a criminally under watched show with some of the best acting, sets, music, writing and character development ever. It’s in my top 3 shows of all time.

Tyta

Producer: Jerry Bruckheimer (Armageddon, National Treasure, Black hawk down). Music: Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Lion king, The dark night, Inception, Blade runner, etc). And... at least the three first movies have post-credit.

Deacon 06

such fun movies, glad you guys had a good time with it, I'm excited to see what you think of the rest of the series. I know a lot of people dont like the movies as much after the first three but they are still fun, its just that the first three are more of a 3 movie long story while the last 2 are smaller self contained stories.

Badd Medicine

Oh Hanz did this score?! No wonder why this music is fantastic!

Badd Medicine

We've had a lot of people say "excited to see the first 3" lol

Katherine Rodriguez

Nice reaction! I think they do get better, my favorite is actually the last one lol can't wait for that one

L AH

I loved your reactions !!! The PoTC movies are just so fun to watch, especially with Johnny Depp in it. I agree with the previous comments, I do believe the movies get better as we go along (3 is also my favorite) because it expands on the world of the pirates. The villain of the next movie is also one of my favorite of all time ! The CGI is also stellar for the time

Chandra

Then I absolutely recommend. It’s only 4 seasons about 38 episodes, I think. Black Sails is definitely pirates for grownups.

keara king

loved this!! these movies are some of my all time favorites. fun fact for you: orlando bloom and johnny depp had a hard time filming because it could be awkward at times since johnny was 40 years old, orlando was 26, and keira knightly was only 17-18 when this was filmed! her mom had to go on location for filming !

Brittany Lewandowski

Kiera Knightly was only 18 when they filmed this movie. 3 years older then she was in The Phantom Menace.

Lifehouse

Awesome reaction as always boys, Also Oak, props for rocking a McLovin' shirt :-D. And Quinn, I can tell we grew up watching a lot of the same movies. When you said "Tango and Cash" I flipped my shit. What a throwback! Highfive bro's

Anza

movies 1 and 4 are my favorite of the 5 out, also glad you guys caught the end credit scene, i think all 5 have them, but for sure 1-3 does that gives a little tease for the next film/future storyline. but overall, I love the whole franchise and can't wait to watch it with ya'll again, also little things that seem like a weird random moment or just as an aside shot, are never that in POTC ;)

Anza

also, Johnny used Keith Richards as inspiration for Jack Sparrows personality, who himself was also based on a real life pirate as well.

Grace

1-3 as a trilogy are so brilliant! 4 is great fun too, but I think a lot of people argue now that 5 is there favourite!

.

Barbossa is my favorite character in this whole series! Something about his character, his dynamic with Jack and his crooked honor really screams pirate to me. Of course, Jack is the comedic aspect and clever pirate but Barbossa also has an interesting persona. Also the governor fighting the skeleton arm is such a funny scene haha I love it every time. The first 3 movies is like a trilogy while 4 and 5 are extras. I love them all but the first three movies are something else! Can't wait for you guys to watch the next ones!! Great reaction! ^^

Yenni Huynh

Can’t wait for you to do the rest of these!!! Johnny depp is amazing in all of them, Kiera knightly and Orlando bloom as well, and the story only gets better as well as the comedy! Love you guys as always!

Cedrick Desjardins

i have watch your harry potter reaction on youtube and decide to join your patreon for the pirates ride love you guys

Badd Medicine

Thank you! We are definitely looking forward to the next one. These were fun!

Badd Medicine

Really looking forward to seeing these. We know a lot of people don't like 4 & 5. But so far, some comments here are positive about them.

Badd Medicine

Haha yes... Someone who else has seen it. We quote that movie in our group text a lot.

Badd Medicine

We almost missed the end credit. Now that you mention it, he does look like Keith

Badd Medicine

Good to see some talk positive about 4 and 5. Seen a lot of people not like them.

Badd Medicine

Looking forward to them all. Good to see everyone is hyped for them. Makes look forward to them even more.

Badd Medicine

Can't wait to see where this story goes. Much appreciated as always 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

Badd Medicine

Thank you, Cedrick! We appreciate your support here! 🙏🤜🤛

J

i've been waitinggg on this one ever since you guys announced the august line up. had a great time re-watching things with you guys as always!

Mae

So much fun to watch this along with you guys! The movies definitely get continuously better through the original trilogy (At World’s End is EPIC), but I have a special place in my heart for the next film, so I really can’t wait for your Dead Mans Chest reaction to release! They keep all the humor throughout but definitely become more intense and heavy (although not sure if the ‘life lessons’ are the good kind given their piratical nature haha). I really like how the “bad guys” are written in this franchise. In Black Pearl, Commodore Norrington is honestly just trying to keep law abiding citizens safe from pirates, and he genuinely cares for Elizabeth. And barbossa is a textbook evil pirate (complete with the “aarrrgggghs!”) but his desperation to “feel” again makes him complex, because we can empathize with him. I always thought his death was especially tragic because his first feeling in 10 years is that of dying, and the shot of the apple rolling away as he falls is such a Shakespearean end. And there are so many more amazing bad guys to come in the next films!

Badd Medicine

Oh wow lol... Good thing we'll be doing star wars soon

NS

First ever post credits scene was in the 1966 movie The Silencers :)

Badd Medicine

Really looking forward to this story. The first was fun a watch.

keara king

are you actually doing star wars? i’ll lose my mind. star wars is everythingggg. as a young woman in her early 20’s to love star wars as much as i do is rare, so i’ll be jazzed if you guys do the franchise

Badd Medicine

Yes, that will be up very shortly here. Fixing an issue that I caught.

Elizabeth Williams

What I really love, is that when the script was written, Captain Jack was written as a straight laced character, but Johnny Depp took it to another level, and the rest of the cast was like well, this will either work, or it won't! And it definitely works! Also, the dog with the keys in its mouth, that scene was taken directly from the ride at Disneyworld!

Badd Medicine

Great tidbits here. I actually didn't know that about Depp.

Splint Reacts

Is that from Titanic? We’re not gonna talk about that. There wasn’t room 🤣

Badd Medicine

Lol... If you would like to see Oak go into a long in-depth personal analysis of that scene, he has no problem taking at least an hour to explain. In a respectable and cordial way of course.

Emily Gray

The mythbusters did do an episode where they tested if two men could pull off the stunt with the air pocket in the boat and it was determined that it was a myth. Not because the air pocket wouldn't exist but because the boat would be too big and heavy and the pocket too full of air for the men to hold onto.

Oouga

Not sure if it was explained: wigs were worn by the nobility back then for two reasons: easier to maintain and design and shape (and marks nobility from commoners), but also to control lice. If you shave your head and wear a wig, no lice.

Oouga

As for the man in the "entertainer's" costume on the Interceptor: The dark blue uniforms were Naval officers. The men in red uniforms were the Marines (Naval land fighters), and that third outfit was the enlisted men, or common sailors. Not entertainers. LOL.

Oouga

Johnny Depp did not use a blank canvas. He used a very iconic person as the basis for his performance: Keith Richards from Rolling Stones.

Badd Medicine

Seen a few comments mentioning that. That's great that he did that

Otis99

It started from simple hair loss. Baldness was looked down upon. People especially started wearing wigs once syphilis spread throughout Europe which Columbus brought back with him from the Americas.
