Some of the continuity issues with the vampire looks (variations of skin tone/sparkles), and the first movie having more of a blue tint was because each film was directed by someone different. I lived in St. Helens, Oregon for a while and that is where the original “Charlie’s house” is located as well as where some scenes from the first movie were filmed (Volvo spin out, dress shop, etc.) Charlie’s house was reproduced for every movie after the first, but the actual house (don’t know if I am able to post a picture on here, but if I can, please let me know…) but it hilariously has a HUGE sign out front telling Twilight fans to not trespass, because fans were walking up, ringing the doorbell and asking if they could come in and take pics, and the family was like “um, no, random stranger - this is private property!” 😂

If y’all like Billy Burke (Charlie), watch the 2011 Red Riding Hood! It has Amanda Seyfried in it! It’s so good! Kristin Stewart was also in Snow White and the Huntsman that was pretty good!

Need to put that in all your vids now To clarify the werewolf thing One of the volturi was almost killed by a werewolf once and he fears the wolves but they also say that they are not the same as werewolves and that werewolves do exist but are very rare They hint that they might be descendents from a human/vampire hybrid

The cgi baby face is a de aged version of the child actor that plays her later. Same when there is a vision of her grown up. Same actress just aged and de-aged. Still weird.

The skit at the start and tribute with the credits was amazing (how many takes did you have to do to get it done without cringing 🤣) that’s what sets you guys apart from other react groups, no matter how small it may seem, you guys put a lot of effort into making entertainment and having fun and it shows!! I remember being in the theater at 16 years old, girls were crying and screaming that wasn't in the book. 🤭 It was genuine shock and tears in that movie theater.

I literally lost it in the first thirty seconds, this was so fucking funny, thank you so much for all the effort you guys put into these videos. The tribute was perfect, it made me weirdly emotional for some reason 😂 with regards to the terrifying CGI baby Rigatoni or whatever she's called, they did it so they could make it look like the human actress as she aged I believe? I think we can all agree we'd have been happy with a regular baby.

All in all I acknowledge how terrible and downright problematic these books/movies are, but I grew up with them and I still enjoy them for what they are. Stephenie Meyer actually created some pretty cool lore and then just...did nothing with it besides focus on Bella and Edward, arguably the most boring characters. Rosalie and Alice's backstories are my favourite! I'd have loved a revenge fantasy style story based on Rosalie, and Alice's backstory is that she was condemned to a mental asylum for her visions and then turned by an older vampire who felt sorry for her. James from the first film had actually been stalking her because her blood was so desirable, but he abandoned it once she was changed. James reveals that to Bella in the first book. Such a shame it wasn't included.

I am so excited for this😂 tried to watch it all on my lunch break but didn’t get through it. Oh my gosh the glitter, Oak😂😂☠️ I’m deceased. My mom and I saw twilight in theatres 23 times. Yes. 23. 🥴 I even had a life size cardboard cutout of Edward and have a replica of all the jewelry and Bella’s jacket. I was in it hardcore. Watching them now, yes they’re cringe and cheesy but as a middle schooler in 2008-2012 this was my jam! I love y’all’s reactions but I’m almost 100% sure it’s more painful to watch The Answer watch this than it is to rewatch this as an adult😂

Actually the fight scene was not in the book. All we knew about it is that Alice had a vision that made Aro change his mind. That was the only information because Edward didn't want to tell Bella what the vision was.

I love that! And yes, we bonded so much during that time. I told her to read the books (I discovered it before it became so big😂) and she was like ehhhh I dunno, but then she started reading them and when I went into her room she was like unless you’re dying or bleeding, go away, I’m reading twilight🤣

Not to be annoying… but I’m still holding out hope that you take a look at the honest trailer videos on YouTube for this series - a couple of minutes each, good for a few laughs. It wraps up all the problems with the franchise with a sense of humor. I promise to stop nagging after this post 🙂

Oh my worddd! This had us rolling! 😂😂😂 thank you for this! Andrew is right, Oak’s evaluations are better than the movies, but they often are. We always love seeing the way you all internalize some of the sketchy parts of a storyline, whether they’re intentionally sketch or not. I think for most of us who love these movies, we love them for the nostalgia, not the movie quality. As someone from Washington, it is definitely something a lot of people feel some ick toward, especially in Forks, and La Push. But once a Twihard, always a Twihard. Also, one movie series I don’t foresee you reacting to is the 50 shades series, but rumor has it that it was originally a fanfic based on twilight, and when you remove the shapeshifting and vampires, it really illuminates some of the unsafe aspects of the relationships. So I like that oak talked about that.

And if anyone wants a longer (much longer, as it's several 30 minute videos) breakdown of how wildly unhealthy these movies are, I cannot recommend the series Cinema Therapy did on these films enough.
