We almost forgot how funny 90's (late 90's in this case) comedies were. Brought back some memories with these scenes. It's like some one followed us around and wrote a script. Great to see Heath Ledger again and Julia Stiles. It feels like she was in everything in the late 90's, early 2000's. The music in here was soooo 90's too! Overall fun comedy. We really enjoyed this one.

collette

Carly

Ooo I’ve been dying to see you guys watch this since it was announced. This will be my Saturday afternoon sorted. Can’t wait

Kristin Carter

So excited! This one takes me right back to high school in the late 90s/early 2000s

Unholy Tater

I'm only a short ways in, but I've just realised this seems to be inspired by a Shakespearean tale. It'll be a fun watch I'm sure. Lots of laughs already!

Chatlie Moore

I loved this movie!!!! It is PURE JOY watching you guys laugh as much as you did. It’s my favorite

rachele

I can’t wait to watch this after work!! Soooo excited ☺️ this was one of my fav romcoms growing up and still is. It’s a classic. Also love Heath Ledger and miss him so much 😭

Jeff K

I haven't watched this movie in years. Probably a decade plus. I forgot how good it is, and how great some of the comedy is. Really enjoyed this reaction! Really makes me miss Heath, of course. It's also wild to look back to a time when JGL was set up as a guy a girl would look at and say, "Eh." How things change... hahaha.

L AH

It is indeed based on the Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare. I love this movie, such a classic 90’s movie. Heath Ledger was such a heartthrob !!

Mintteacup

Can't wait to watch this with you guys, this is one of my favourite movies... also damn i finished my popcorn earlier today so i got no snacks :')

Mone

I love this movie so so much and I'm very happy you had so much fun while watching it! I was laughing along with you guys 😁 I also rly love A Knight's Tale and Casanova where Heath Ledger is the main character and now I would like to watch one of them but it's already late... I'll do so tomorrow 🤭

xflipjamsx

Yaaaasssss !!! :D Can’t wait to see this one ^_^

God I was not expecting the joke that hit Oak the hardest to be the collar and stitches joke. The man looked like he was about to fall out of his chair

Amberlynn

This is one of my all-time favorite. Makes me laugh no matter how many times I've seen it. My parents actually gifted me the same guitar Kat had in the movie (not sure if they realized it was the same one, but I definitely loved the connection). And yep, the movie is an adaptation of Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" which is why there's so many heavy-handed references to him and why some lines probably stuck out. Freeform/ABC Family tried to adapt this movie into a show, but it didn't make it past season 1 unfortunately. Also there's some bloopers at the very end (after the song goes off). Pretty good stuff, even if you watch on your own time.

Zen Reacts

Full disclosure there was about a week period in my early 20's where I actually watched this movie multiple times a day

Ginger

I graduated in 95 and never saw this as I was past the age of being interested in movies about high schoolers, but this movie was funny. A little over the top at times, but funny. I totally wish my high school had looked like that one. That was one cool looking high school. I didn’t even catch the joke about Shakespeare’s collar when I watched this movie yesterday for the first time and was highly amused and how ya’ll lost it at the joke. 😁

Ahmad Zain

love ths movie has become a great classic, next I vote for Jab we Met, please

J Bird

Just have to mention - I respect & love the commitment Mason Quinn has to the "white shirt look" 😉

Anni

The pool table at the bar scene is probably one of my favorite background gags!! Michael is totally the MVP of the movie! And yeah, as an older sister to a younger sister, we definitely hated each other and fought a lot. But we’re best friends now that we’re older, which is how it works out a lot of the time. So glad y’all did this movie!

Lena

Was that Bernard (the elf) from The Santa Clause???

Mercyxo

I’m sorry but who comes up with these thumbnails 🤣🤣🤣🤣 they literally make my day.

SilverDoe🎔

Agree with you completely! Great trip, down memory lane. Loved it!

Rianne R

So glad you guys adored this one! To support your sister hypothesis, it still rings true even for us born in the 90s! My sister and I are only a year apart, so my parents didn't treat us too differently, but she really thought she was the boss of me and we were at each other's throats during the teen years and it even got physical once or twice. We had each other's backs for the most part though if anyone else tried to start something with either of us. Just because I can talk shit about my sister doesn't give anyone else permission to do the same! 😁

Sophia Eunice Mattice-Aldous

This was so much fun to watch with Badd Medicine! Your insights and willingness to go in with an open mind and have a good time and/or hear a story you might not normally seek out if not for your channel is always refreshing. Thanks again!

Angelina

The solid 45 seconds of laughter from the 3 of you absolutely made my day 🤣 Always loved this movie and it was entertaining as heck watching with y’all! Honestly made it even funnier 😆 This one was up there with Clueless being a modern take of Emma by Jane Austen and then this was a modern Taming of the Shrew. Y’all gotta top it off with She’s The Man - a modern Twelfth Night 🔥 Amazing reaction 👏 HOT TAKE! Had even more fun than the Twilight reaction with this - but I’m biased because I like this movie more lmao

Amanda P

And some people thought you guys wouldn't like it lol this movie is a classic and one of my faves. If you guys havent seen clueless that could be another fun one! More rom-coms please 😆

Sarah

I had so much fun watching this with you guys. I laughed even more than when I watched it the first time because you guys cracked up so much! 😆 I REALLY hope you guys will react to She's The Man. It's really corny and ridiculous but hilarious. Lol

Annie519

I have always loved this movie, it's funny and the cast is stacked with actors that really went on to bigger things. You didn't mention her but Gabrielle Union was also in this who was in all of these teen movies at the time like She's All That and Bring It On. This movie introduced the world to Heath Ledger and I try to just appreciate the films he did give us but yeah it's hard to watch Heath's movies and not miss him and be sad he's gone, he had so much talent and I heard nothing but great things about him. He was so charming and likable in this and he and Julia had great chemistry. I really like in this film that they give Bianca an arc and becomes a very likable character. It was so much fun watching it with you guy, I love how invested you were with the movie. Maybe it's because they spoof this movie that's absolutely hilarious but I would love to see you guys react to Not Another Teen Movie, yes it's stupid but it's meant to be, I think it would be just a blast to see you guys laugh the whole time. It's really funny and probably one of my favorite parody films.

Milly

you guys should start making predictions bingos to see who can get the most correct hahah

sett4r

really loved the reaction and discussion afterward as always!!

Tara

Great reaction! You missed some deleted scenes a bit further into the end credits. I love this movie and became a Heath Ledger fan from a TV show, Roar, before he did this movie. Have you see A Knights Tale?

Bella H

If you want another hilariously classic early Heath Leadger movie, I highly recommend A Knights Tale. And Mason will love playing spot the actor in it. Also the soundtrack was amazing.

Christine L.

Okay, we need pictures of you guys in high school 😂😂😂

Marco Gutierrez

I'll say this with regards to Levitt's character: he definitely did stray a little too closely to the nice guy mentality, but you can tell he didn't have an ulterior motive. He was treating her well and putting in the effort and he was confused and offended that she would respond more to a guy who was clearly only interested in adding another notch to his belt. Sometimes you really do need to check people on their BS. That goes for men AND women. Both can be just as narcissistic, conceited, and selfish and that kind of behavior should be shamed if we want a better society. Nobody should find anything to desire in someone that just views them as a sex object.

Caroline Price

How did I miss this at post!!! This is one of my all time favs. Graduated ‘99. My friend’s date bailed on him for homecoming. It was going to be a double date but turned into me with two dates. He already spent the $ so i felt bad. 3 of us did dinner. I also did pics with both guys. My boyfriend was a good sport.

Sarah.the.clumsy

I guess my question is, how long did it take to film that movie for them to get so many sunny days in Seattle?!

Kathy

Love how the Oak is so genuinely nice - you can tell based on his commentary on the nice guys. This is one of my favorite movies and I LOVE heath ledger in it. Thanks for the reaction! So surprised that the joke that got you so bad was that one XD

C. J. Ramirez

Crazy how this was a pg-13 film back in the day I was like how is this not rated r😭😭

Bri

So late to this but was randomly suggested it. I think I saw this movie once a looong time ago, but completely forgot everything about it. Now I'm like, I could watch this 100 more times. I think it's one of my new favorites and I loved y'alls reactions, I was cracking up. Seeing Heath it is sad, he really was so talented. Whenever he'd pop up in something my mom would tell me about how one of my aunts, who lived in Manhattan, would run into him a lot because he was basically one of her neighbors and she always said he was nice.
