What an open for episode 1!!!!! Mark Grayson, a teenager whose father is Omni-Man, the world's most powerful superhero. Mark starts to develop his own superpowers and begins training with his father to become a hero, but...... does Omni-Man what his son to have those powers??? And that ending.... WOW!

The episode is well-paced, with enough action and character development. The animation style is reminiscent of classic superhero comics, and the voice acting is excellent. Can't wait to see episode 2!

I know everyone wants their foray into anime to begin with Attack on Titan, but after that, I think they would really enjoy My Hero Academia. It seems right up their alley

I'm gonna stump for Vinland Saga, think they'd really enjoy it and it's got really interesting themes and lessons that I know Oak would have a field day with

I think it'd be much better to watch anime and shows that are shorter tbh. Attack on Titan is wrapping up at a little over 100 episodes, but I think MHA already has more episodes than that and isn't even close to being finished. FMA is mid 60s, Death Note is mid 30s, Code Grass is almost 50, Cowboy Bebop is mid 20s, etc etc. You'd be able to get through a variety of anime in the time that they'd do MHA. Plus, MHA and Invincible aren't all that different from each other. I'd even argue the latter is a much better story.

J Knight

I'm not gonna lie I wasn't interested until the last 5 minutes

Zen Reacts

I was both surprised yet waiting for the conversation about Omni-man's fantastic ass

Thepuppetmasta

Ayy 🥳. Does this mean yall might do The Boys after you finish Invincible S1?? Both are great shows

Jessica

I enjoyed Invincible and plan to watch season 2. I don't care for the graphic violence at all, as I don't think it is necessary to show to move the story along. That said, the story and characters in the show are good enough for me to let the graphic violence slide this time. I can't watch The Boys for the same reason. That show being live action and not animated means I can't get past the violence in that show to enjoy the story and characters. I just think that type of violence is over the top in its presentation for both shows. Just not my cup of tea most of the time.

Vernon Ingram

This show is so good, I think their decision to not shy away from the violence gives more weight and impact to the character's decisions and actions, their success and their failures - it's not just ambiguous background explosions or getting knocked unconscious instead of maimed or k*lled in a fight, there are consequences to these situations and conflicts, for the super-powered and for bystanders. To me at least, it makes the story feel more grounded and realistic, I empathize and fear for the characters more, and it gives the moments of success and hope - and the moments when those are ripped away - more impact.

MeloTaughtMe

cant wait for your reaction to this series

Isadora

Never watched this, guess i'm gonna give it a go with you guys :)

SILV3R

Love this show, the animation is a call back to the late 90s early 2000s super hero shows. The story is unique and yet obviously pulls from so many different inspirations. Season 2 right around the corner.

Eric Wallace

Oh shit, just hit play and we have the full panel! Gonna be a good time

Ginger

This show was way more graphic than what I like, so way over the top for my tastes, but intriguing and a lot of well known people voicing characters. Sandra Oh voicing the mom, she voiced the mom in the Disney+ animated movie Turning Red. Guess she has a good mom voice. Won’t spoil, but I was not patient and looked up why Omni Man did what he did and it made a lot of sense to me based on what was in this episode.

Trenton Casdorph

I don’t think I saw anything about this in the video, so just in case you didn’t realize- Robert Kirkman created The Walking Dead comics as well as the Invincible comics, and in multiple episodes of the walking dead you can see Carl reading the Invincible comics. In the last season RJ is reading an Invincible comic as well.

JMac

Hey guys, I'm sorry. I can't keep watching along with you. I hadn't seen the first episode before, but now I need to keep watching on! It's sooo good! Look forward to rewatching this in the coming weeks with yous after I binge all of this in a day. Lmao 🤣

Ana

Yaaaay I'm so happy

Ana

Update, I binged it all in 5 hours. You guys are in for a ride

Zack Sutton

Loved seeing you guys reacting too it!

TinCan Cosmanaut

I wish no one told you guys this shows was violent. Then the surprise would hit much harder. At the same time I bet you guys would never entertain this series without knowing

Dio Legrand
>>106166503

I mean they watched Avatar without knowing how awesome it was (assuming it was just a kiddie show) and ended up loving it, so I agree I wish they didn't have a clue about this show lol. Still excited for their reactions

Munir
>>106085545

Live your life how you want but looking that up kinda ruins season 1...

Matty Turtle

Love how this first episode lulls you into false sense of security

The Boys is S-tier, on par with shows like Breaking Bad and House of the Dragon. ------ I'm sorry to say that Invincible and Peacemaker (both shows that get compared to The Boys) don't come close to how great shows like The Boys, Breaking Bad, House of the Dragon, and the Haunting of Hill House, etc are. (Atleast season 1 of Invincible (and Peacemaker season 1) is like an A-, but later seasons should be more of the meat of the story.) -------- What I'm saying is that we cant wait for you guys to check out The Boys. Every season is better than the last and Season 1 is already S-tier...so....its near perfection.

Sarai

Sky High! That'd be an interesting movie to rewatch after 15+ years haha. This show also reminds me of The Boys, violence and superhero satire O.O

Dee

I knew nothing about this show when I first watched and was wondering what the big hype was for most of it and especially when the end credits popped up but then that ending scene happened & it was just like “…..oh” lol

Jake Cravens

"What the f### did we just watch" hahaha

Ivan Rasmussen

Oak's face during that ending said it all lol. I was shook too

SYNTRY 9169

Once you guys finish the series, I highly recommend you all read the Invincible comics, they are absolutely fantastic.
