Season 2 is awesome I hope you enjoy!!!! This season is huge for Korra's character development.

john crosby

loving the series cant wait for you guys to dive into this season

John

Season 2 is a little different which some people don't enjoy as much but it's still super important to the overall story, so i'm excited for you guys to see it. Counting the minutes til season 3 tho

Ryan Chan

You guys talked about how Eska sounds like Audrey Plaza. Well funny enough, she does the voiceover of Eska :)

Ivan Rasmussen

Book 2 is definitely the weakest for me, it's not bad. I just think it could've been done better besides a few amazing episodes in it. Books 3 and 4 are pretty great though. I'm interested to see what you guys think of this one.

Let us all not forget that Korra is still 17 and is going to act like a teenager. Shes also still not even a year out from living her entire life excluded from any type of society and her social skill probably werent a top priority during here avatar training in the south pole

Some interesting tidbits on S2. They switched animation studios from Studio Mir to Studio Pierrot for the first part of this season since the previous studio was over worked. They go back to Studio Mir part of the way through S1. You may notice the animation quality isn't as good as S1 which is part of the reason they went back. The "mover" Varick showed is based off Muybridge's Horse in Motion which was the catalyst in the development of motion pictures. Kya was supposed to be Katara's name in ATLA but given to her mother and now her daughter.

Oulianor Timothee

Naw, I think this is another case where chaotic or rushed production made for poor writing choices, in how the writers chose to backpedal. Some character decisions don't make sense in light of the events of S1.

Regardless at 18 were 90% of us not insufferable with our confidence in our independence

Geoffrey of Monmouth

To clarify a little, they go back to Mir for 2 episodes, then back to Pierrot for one episode, then back again to Mir for the rest of the show

Oulianor Timothee

Hey man, I don't appreciate that rudeness, you posted a public comment, it's open for anyone to reply, it's not a private conversation or an echo chamber. We can be respectful and disagree.

Oulianor Timothee

I didn't know where they came back in at....and back out. I don't think I noticed on first watch but I defly see it now esp in ep 1

Are you guys going to watch Attack on Titan after Korra? If so I would be so incredibly excited, it's fantastic

Geoffrey of Monmouth

Yep. The rumors were that Mir was really pissed at the job Pierrot was doing (they genuinely loved working on Korra), so they insisted on doing a particular 2-parted midway through the season at a discounted rate, just so that it wouldn't be done by Pierrot. Then they finished their other project and came back in (I think at episode 10?)

PeachBrune

now that is seriously hype, AOT is the single best reaction show for new viewers IMO

I kind of watched this franchise all out of order: I watched the live action movie first before I knew anything about avatar or that it even had an animation and enjoyed the movie bc I had nothing to base it on lol, then I watched the legend of Korra and LOVED it, finally I watched The Last Airbender and dots finally connected 😂 all this to say, I love Korra more than I love TLA and Idky so many people nitpick on Korra

FatLittleButterfly

They are both great in their own ways. IMO, TLA just been more involved in most viewers' childhood and the nostalgic effect just overwhelms objective reasoning. Did you check out the comics after LOK?

Emily B

I definitely agree. When it first came out, I hated Korra. But as an adult, I find myself relating to her a lot more and I get really defensive of her. I think people wanted more of Aang, so when they got a 16 y/o headstrong girl who more resembles Toph, people were upset. I also think that people are less understanding of Korra's character flaws. She's over confident where Aang was indecisive, and she's more physical where Aang was spiritual.

Riley Proshek

a lot of people say this season is the weakest but its actually my favorite! Starts off a little slow but the story is beautiful

Toan Toan

Aang was a pacifist and Korra packs a fist. I love that about her lol
