So excited for you to start this... The show does an amazing job of honoring the spirit and tone of the manga. Even with the changes they had to make, most of them I think were very good. Beware of spoilers I saw several in the full length posts. Bring your dreams and hopes time to set sail for ONE PIECE

Netflix, for safety reasons, required the prominent people on screen to have shoes

Money-Kate Olsen

Surprisingly good for a Netflix adaptation. Excited to see where it goes. (Also, please add Hereditary for October/Halloween if you haven't already). :)

Gotta admit, only anime I ever watched and enjoyed was AoT, and this is no exception, I see why people like it, but this type of story telling is not for me, just prefer more traditional western cartoon like storytelling

I find that really Ironic, because Oda was really inspired by western cartoons for One Piece.

I came into this blind with no idea what this even was! Man, I had fun watching this with y'all! Can't wait to see the next episode with you!

Hey guys, you should do the DC animated movies! They're so much better than the live action ones, especially flashpoint.

I bought the Patreon as soon as I saw you guys are doing One Piece. Also, you guy’s should start anime reactions, Attack on Titan is a really good starter one. And theres a English Dub if your wondering.

Thank you for supporting us here on Patreon. We appreciate it. As these fine folks mention, AOT is coming. It follows Korra :)

here are some facts for you to know more about One piece. -is by far the best selling manga (sort of japanese comic) of all time, it even has surpassed batman. -Eiichirō Oda the creator has been telling this story since 1997 and continues to do so. And he was involve in this netflix adaptation. All the changes they made, were approved by him. -some of the caracters and plots of the story may come across as "ridiculous" but thats the core of one piece... and even so, when it needs to be serious and dark.. it really does, and also is very emotional.

Ya, I mean that’s kinda my point. It’s pirates we know but done in the more eastern fashion of anime storytelling, but I just think one is way better than the other. I’ve seen Vinland saga, it was okay. And cowboy beep bop was the most overrated thing I ever watched, I guess it was decent for anime

So, here’s approximately how many episodes of the anime each live action episode covers: Ep. 1 - episodes 1-4 of the anime Ep. 2 - episodes 5-8 of the anime Ep.3&4 - episodes 9-19 of the anime Ep. 5 - episodes 20-24 Ep. 6 - episodes 25-30 Ep. 7&8 - episodes 31-45 There’s also a few side storylines that are pulled from further along in the anime/manga, including a huge revelation that isn’t revealed until episode 314 of the anime! I felt bad for a few people who reviewed the live action but hadn’t made it that far in the anime yet. 😝 The episodes that cover the most in the anime were also the ones that were changed the most. I understood all of the changes even if I didn’t like all of them. The changes that were made to episodes 3-4 a lot of people including myself thought the live action did a better job than the anime. The anime is good, but that section tends to drag. The episodes that only cover a few episodes were very faithful to the source material. Overall, it’s a fantastic adaptation, and I’m so glad it’s introducing people, such as yourselves, to the world of One Piece. Can’t wait for more reactions!

I've watched the whole season now and apparently missed the reveal you're talking about. Can you point me to where that gets mentioned? The episode, at least?
