They just love to torture Daryl lol. A very strong start for Daryl Dixon. The pacing and the story was good. The Burners are an interesting twist. That does change the game a bit if they can keep it consistent. Good to see them continue the streak of where our team goes... so does trouble. Hopefully they keep this pace up for the next 5 episodes.

No Mason Quinn on this one. He will be back for episode 2. Oak will be joining for all the episodes as well.

Yes! Love having Oak join in on the action! Very good first episode. Honestly more excited for this than Dead City which was kinda a letdown. Also love having Fleur Delacour from Goblet of Fire join the cast. Love seeing Harry Potter characters again :)

Good to see Oak joining in on the action. Very good start to the season, good to see a new variant added in the mix and enjoyed the setting

"Pouvior des Vivants," the graffiti that Daryl read, means "power to the living." I'm a WD super fan with guys and am so excited that you're reacting to it. My heritage is half French and am pretty fluent; I don't mean to be pedantic but maybe help a bit

Got a good feeling about this one.. already the action was better than anything we saw in dead city

Great episode. I know the parent/child-ish "cure" trope has been done to death in other ways but tbh this feels kinda fresh? It makes sense a convent would believe a kid is a messiah, I think in an apocalypse some people would definitely lean harder on their religion as opposed to leaving it behind. Also feels good to see shows like TWD acknowledging religion more (in the final season the Commonwealth guard asked Gabriel to pray/sit with him). Tbh I'm not religious myself but having grown up with "seasonal believers" (always went to mass for Easter and Christmas) the whole lack of praying/religion in some shows feels kinda alien, if that makes sense. So to get little bits here and there is cool and grounds the show in reality (even a show about zombies lol). Great reaction as always, keep em coming.

This episode had just a little bit of everything. I will say it was nice to have the kid be very intelligent. Looking forward to how this all plays out.

Hey, the nun is Fleur from Harry Potter Goblet of Fire… who married Bill (?) Weasley.
